The main meeting had concluded.

Tang Rui was then pulled aside for a smaller meeting.

Compared to the main meeting, which was attended by various Professors and experts, this smaller meeting, apart from him, had no scientists, only powerful figures.

“President Tang, regarding the choice of the construction site for the space elevator, why consider building it in Mogadishu instead of Southeast Asia?”

“Geographically speaking, Mogadishu’s location is uniquely advantageous compared to Southeast Asia, whether you consider maritime transportation or military strategy. It’s the most suitable place.

“Also, to put it simply, a space elevator is just a unique highway. Once we build the highway, we just wait and collect the toll.”

After hearing Tang Rui’s answer, the powerful figures nodded in agreement.

“What about the future development of space technology? Do you have any predictions or plans?” another tycoon asked.

“As for predictions, countries without strong national power can only research space technology from outer space. As for how to reach outer space from Earth, they won’t study that; they can only rely on the space elevator.

“Countries with strong national power will continue to research this technology. However, as technological barriers get higher, very few countries can afford the cost.

“This will create a gap between Earth and outer space, a gap only we can control. But before that, we must completely control outer space around Earth.”

After hearing this, the tycoons asked a few more questions.

Tang Rui answered truthfully.

He spoke his mind.

As for how the higher-ups would arrange and consider things, that was no longer his concern or responsibility.

After the meeting, Tang Rui returned to his company. There was still a lot to be done at home.

For instance, the various projects he was responsible for. Talents drawn from across the country were arriving at the company after his selection.

Together, these projects would bring the total number of people in the research team to over 1200.

Each of these individuals was an elite.

Saying they were all future scientists might be an overstatement, but becoming experts in their respective fields was certainly within their grasp.

After all, with their capabilities and the top-tier research platform of the project team, if they couldn’t become experts, they might as well quit research and go back to farming.

Tang Rui, according to the previous plan, began to group these researchers and initiated their training.

The content of the training was to thoroughly understand the technologies previously reserved by the Deep Red Company; otherwise, the upcoming research would be impossible.

While arranging for these personnel, Tang Rui also focused on reserving source points. What to research would be decided later.

In the blink of an eye, it was the fifteenth day of the first lunar month.

On this day, the Japan suddenly announced that it would launch a space station in a week.

Yes.

A space station.

Using bundled rockets for direct launch into space, then assembling and connecting them.

To be honest, when Tang Rui heard this news, he didn’t quite believe it.

Although Japan had some top-notch space technology, building a space station required more than just cutting-edge technology; it needed a systematic support.

Currently, there are only three complete space systems in the world, each belonging to one of the three good people.

No matter how you look at it, these three wouldn’t possibly provide Japan with a complete space system. Even if they did, Japan wouldn’t be able to digest it.

So, Tang Rui was puzzled. What had gotten into Japan to suddenly decide to build a space station?

“Red Lotus, remind me when Japan launches the rocket,” Tang Rui told Red Lotus.

“Okay, Master, Red Lotus will remember.”

Japan.

Space launch center.

Fujihara Shimura, in charge of this space station launch mission, looked at the special space station shipped from America, and his anger began to flare.

Why?

Why must they, Japan, always take the blame?

It was outrageous.

The Cabinet’s fools, too, were useless.

America is now the second in the class, and the class leader’s position will soon be relinquished. Why still be manipulated by them?

“Fujihara-sama, the technicians from America’s side won’t allow us to inspect the space capsule. What should we do?”

A technical supervisor came over to ask.

“If they won’t allow an inspection, then don’t inspect. Just store it directly in the warehouse, ready for the upcoming hoisting.”

Fujihara Shimura glanced at the space capsule below and turned to instruct the technical supervisor.

“Yes!” The supervisor nodded and left.

Over the next few days, Japan was busy, but no matter what they said, those America personnel guarding the space capsule just wouldn’t allow Japan to inspect it.

This greatly annoyed the technicians from Japan.

But the higher-ups didn’t take this matter seriously.

A week later.

On the day of the rocket launch.

Countries around the world began broadcasting Japan’s rocket launch, as it was to launch components of a space station, not just a satellite.

Currently, there are only two space stations above humanity’s heads.

If Japan’s launch succeeded, it would be the third operational space station.

Tang Rui, reminded by Red Lotus, turned on the holographic projection to watch Japan’s rocket launch.

“Launch countdown 10, 9…”

“Ignition!”

Boom!

Three rockets ignited, generating powerful thrust, and began to slowly lift off.

Soon, the rocket accelerated, angling out of the Karman line.

Two bundled rockets detached.

Seeing this, Tang Rui felt something was off.

The space station components inside the rocket seemed too light; the thrust appeared excessive.

And the rocket’s flight angle seemed odd.

It felt more like a missile aimed at a space station than a launch of space station components.

Bang!

The rocket suddenly exploded from within, turning into countless debris.

Just as Tang Rui was internally criticizing the rocket’s incorrect posture, it inexplicably exploded.

Very suddenly, and strangely, it wasn’t the fuel tank or engine that exploded, but rather it seemed like the space capsule inside the rocket did.

That was just unscientific.

Space capsules explode?

“Calculating debris trajectory, calculation complete, adjusting satellite orbit to avoid debris.”

Red Lotus didn’t idle. The moment the rocket exploded, it started calculating the rocket debris trajectory.

A large launch vehicle, along with a space capsule, exploding and forming debris was a devastating blow for Earth’s orbit.

Remember.

This rocket didn’t explode in low orbit but was on its way to high orbit.

Meaning, every Earth orbit would be affected. For satellites near the rocket, there wasn’t even a chance to avoid before being destroyed by the debris.

For a while, space command centers around the world started frantically calculating these rocket debris trajectories.

Then they tried to adjust their own satellites’ orbits to avoid the dangerous debris as much as possible.

If avoidance was impossible, they would transfer data in advance for other satellites to take over.

Major countries could do this.

But smaller countries without space capabilities suffered greatly.

They lacked the technology to calculate outer space rocket debris, let alone capture the debris orbit technology.

So, avoiding it was out of the question.

Just like that, a large number of debris with a wide coverage kept destroying satellites in Earth’s orbit.

The debris from the destroyed satellites also flew out of orbit, scattering in all directions.

This chain reaction led to a space disaster.

And this space disaster was more exaggerated than the one caused by the Indians

After all, the India’s manned spacecraft wasn’t launched towards high orbit.

Its explosion only affected low orbit.

This time was different. Every orbit was affected, and the chain reaction made satellite adjustments even more difficult.

“Red Lotus, calculate if our space station will be affected,” Tang Rui immediately asked Red Lotus.

“Master, according to calculations, there’s a 98.6% chance that the space station will be hit by the debris.

But Master, don’t worry. There are no people in our space station, so there’s no concern for personnel safety,” Red Lotus quickly replied.

Damn!

Japan was up to no good again.

But since thereweare no people in his space station, he wouldn’t bother with it.

If there were people on the space station, he would use a magnetic field to protect it.

Since there are none, there’s no need to protect it.

As the old saying goes, the old must go for the new to come.

Later, he could have Japan compensate and use the compensation to build a brand new Southern Heavenly Gate space base.

Without Tang Rui’s intervention, this space disaster wreaked havoc in Earth’s orbit for five days.

Once the satellites that were to be destroyed were destroyed.

The space debris finally stabilized.

At this point, the United Nations convened a meeting to discuss the space disaster caused by Japan’s rocket launch.

After discussions by the Security Council, the United Nations decided to add a department specifically to manage rocket launches by various countries.

Those with substandard technology are not allowed to launch rockets, satellites, or even missiles beyond the atmosphere.

To launch, one must pass the technical audit of this department.

As for Japan’s issue.

The rocket launch failed, the company applied for bankruptcy, and no insurance was bought before the launch, so there was no way to compensate.

They could only have the person responsible for the launch apologize to various countries.

Fujihara Shimura: “Sincere apologies!”

Although he bowed and apologized, he thought that none of this was Japan’s fault.

This explosion was just a task arranged by the master… no, the father and grandfather..
