“Right, it’s a cosmic battleship. Here’s the training outline and the personnel arrangement. You handle it.”

After nodding and finishing his statement, Tang Rui dropped off a mobile hard drive containing games, preparing to leave.

“How many people are needed?” Han Shu was full of questions.

“You’ll know once you play the game,” Tang Rui waved his hand and left without looking back.

Back in the lab, Tang Rui asked Red Lotus to organize a set of data on super-strong magnetic fields and send it to Professor Li at the Institute of High Energy.

By arranging according to the data in this document, there won’t be issues with magnetic field conversion.

Their construction of the high-energy hadron collider was basically

problem-free now, with the remaining engineering difficulties relatively easy to solve.

However, as the strength of the magnetic field increased, the more energy was needed.

According to Red Lotus’s calculations, it becomes very difficult to further increase the magnetic field strength beyond 300T.

But these were minor issues. Currently, such a strong magnetic field isn’t needed. They’ll deal with it if needed in the future.

“Red Lotus, what work related to magnetic fields hasn’t been completed yet?”

Tang Rui asked Red Lotus, planning to find something to do.

“Master, regarding magnetic field research, there are several research tasks yet to be completed, including plasma cannon research, positron cannon research, ultra-high temperature particle beam weapons research, strong magnetic field plasma battery research…”

“Stop, no need to say more.” Tang Rui stood up and left the lab immediately.

It’s already the end of November.

In another month, it’d be New Year’s Day, followed by the Spring Festival.

Why continue researching?

That could wait until next year.

The key point was, America and the Koreans were almost done digging the undersea tunnel, and he was waiting to see the excitement.

Arriving at the Precious Wildlife Breeding Base, Tang Rui went directly to the ostrich training ground.

Compared to other rare and protected animals in the base, ostriches weren’t considered precious.

But those were just ordinary ostriches.

The golden-feathered ostriches like Tang Rui’s were different. When they ran under the sun, they could dazzle your eyes.

According to experts, these ostriches were mutants, a kind of genetic mutation. Whether this mutation can be stably inherited is still unclear.

Tang Rui didn’t care about this at all.

What he cared about was the training issue mentioned by the keeper last time. He wondered if it was resolved.

Ostriches could be used as mounts.

“President Tang, you’re here to see the ostriches.”

“Yes, can I ride them now?”

“Yes, you can.”

“Then let’s hurry up, I’ve never ridden an ostrich before.”

Under the trainer’s arrangement, Tang Rui approached an ostrich and mounted it from a stand.

“President Tang, don’t make too big movements and don’t grip the ostrich’s neck too tightly. Just hold its wings and feathers, and you’ll be fine.”

The trainer cautioned, fearing for Tang Rui’s safety.

“Don’t worry, it’s fine.”

Tang Rui nodded after listening, telling them not to worry too much.

He just wanted to try what it felt like to ride an ostrich, not to race wildly on one.

Once everything was ready, the fence in front of the ostrich opened, and with the lure of food, the ostrich under Tang Rui started running with long strides.

Wow!

That was a bit exciting.

The ostrich’s stability was average. When it moved, the body bounced up and down.

Although the amplitude wasn’t very large, the frequency was high.

This made Tang Rui, sitting on the ostrich, a bit unstable.

For a short time, it was okay.

But long-term riding would be unbearable.

After circling the training field twice on the ostrich, Tang Rui got off, feeling that it was just okay, much worse than riding a horse.

Leaving the ostrich area, he went to the tiger and lion training ground and started playing with two little ones.

Little Brain Axe and Little Xi grew up fast, their teeth had come out, and their size had doubled.

In another half year, he wouldn’t be able to handle them.

It wasn’t a matter of danger, but their fur would become harder as they grew.

In a blink, several days passed.

Although Tang Rui was slacking off, Red Lotus was diligent.

The construction on the mountain top was completed.

But the equipment had not yet been started.

Because even if it was started now, it would be useless since the Koreans were not done digging yet, despite digging around the clock.

The speed of tunneling was limited, and increasing it was not feasible.

Even Tang Rui was getting anxious for them, not to mention America.

The more anxious they got, the more likely accidents would occur. One day, Tang Rui suddenly received a message from Red Lotus that the Koreans had made an operational error, causing a collapse on one side of the tunnel wall.

Although not serious, clearing the debris and reinforcing the collapsed area took time.

What should have been completed in half a month now required an additional ten days. Hearing this news, Tang Rui rolled his eyes.

What a mess.

Bored, Tang Rui opened the lunar geological exploration map.

It had been several months, but the mechanical dogs were still continuously detecting the geological data of the moon.

It couldn’t be helped.

The moon was too big.

Even though the mechanical dogs worked 24 hours a day, it would take a long time to completely explore the geological conditions of the entire moon.

“Red Lotus, how many suitable locations have we found for building underground bases?”

Tang Rui asked while looking at the geological map.

“Master, according to your requirements, locations with water resources, abundant mineral resources, and stable geological structures, we have found 19 sites in total.” Red Lotus said, displaying those locations on the holographic projection screen.

Tang Rui looked at the red dots on the map, zooming in on one.

It was a mountain range on the moon.

The moon’s mountain ranges were mostly formed by impacts, but they were entirely sufficient for base construction.

According to the geological detection data, there were about 520,000 cubic meters of solid water storage under this mountain range, and there were also abundant mineral resources inside the mountains.

Building a base here would be simple and convenient, not to mention very sturdy.

After reviewing this location, Tang Rui checked others.

All met his requirements.

He was very satisfied with the locations selected by Red Lotus.

“Red Lotus, mark the mountain range location with the company’s logo, then upload the current geological data map to the database.”

Tang Rui staked a claim for a future Crimson lunar branch.

As for the location of the future Guanghan Palace base, he left that for the higher-ups to worry about.

After all, the moon was so big, with so many suitable locations for base construction, they could choose any for mining operations.

“Red Lotus, is the helium-3 extraction complete?” Tang Rui suddenly thought of the fuel rods.

“Master, the helium-3 extraction is complete, and three fuel rods have been inserted into the nuclear fusion reactor, ready to be ignited at any time.”

“Alright, let it be for now, no rush to ignite.”

Tang Rui’s current power supply was more than sufficient.

The nuclear fusion reactor in his base could supply the entire Yangtze River Delta region.

However, he hadn’t opened up the power supply.

After all, how much would you charge per kWh if you supplied power to the grid?

Should a special high-voltage network be brought in?

Or should the national high-voltage transmission network be scrapped in favor of wireless transmission?

If the whole country could wirelessly charge, should fuel cars be banned and replaced with electric ones?

These were all issues, and there were plenty of red tape.

Tang Rui didn’t want to get involved.

Anyway, the neighboring Dongfang Chao Huan was almost ready, and he didn’t need to do anything extra.

And since he had a nuclear fusion reactor, the higher-ups knew about it.

Since they hadn’t asked, and foreign countries were pretending not to know, he had no need to jump out and promote it to the world, so for the outside world, nuclear fusion was still 50 years away.

But what Tang Rui didn’t know was the nuclear fusion reactor in the neighboring city was actually built earlier than his. After he brought out those black tech materials, Dongfang Chao Huan had already been upgraded.

But now, the nuclear fusion reactor was just one step away from completion.

The control system of the reactor core had stumped the entire nuclear fusion team for half a year.

With superconducting magnetic fields and neutron-resistant inner wall materials, nuclear fusion could be ignited at will.

There was no need to worry about any issues.

But as the number of ignitions increased and the core temperature rose, a problem became apparent.

How could ultra-high temperature plasma be controled?

You say not to control?

That’d be like throwing a nuke inside.

The key in controlled nuclear fusion was ‘controlled,’ not just ‘fusion.’

Part of this was safety control, needing strong magnetic fields and neutron radiation protection while the other was reaction control, being able to control the reactor temperature, energy output, and ignition and extinguishing at any time.

If these two controls couldn’t be achieved, then it wasn’t a real controlled nuclear fusion reactor.

What Dongfang Chao Huan currently lacked was the control program for the reactor core, and the hardest part of this program was the real-time simulation and precise control of fluid dynamics algorithms.

Simulation and control weren’t difficult, but accelerating in real-time was different.

The computing power and intelligence level of the host machine had to reach a certain standard.

That’s exactly what they were lacking now, and it was exactly the thing that was holding them back.

“Professor, the Quantum Supercomputing Research Institute has sent us the latest 50W supercomputer, asking us to test whether this supercomputer can run the core control algorithm.”

“Good, connect the host and prepare to run the experiment.”

The whole team began to get busy.

Soon, the Dongfang Super Ring was ignited, and everyone stared at the data on the big screen.

The 50W, true to its quantum supercomputing nature, was much stronger than the original host in real-time computation.

But as time went by…

After running for three hours, the 50W had accumulated too much erroneous data. It kept optimizing the algorithm and calculating data, but the results were poor, and the computation speed was also affected.

After 12 hours, the computing speed of the 50W had decreased by 20%, and the reduced computing power was all used for error correction.

But due to the fluid dynamics algorithm, no matter how it calculated, there were errors.

As errors accumulated, the data discrepancy grew larger.

Until in the end, its control instructions and simulation results conflicted, and then it became completely useless.

It wasn’t that it lost its computing power.

But while it was continuously calculating and producing results, it was negated by the real-time feedback data, then recalculated and negated again, in an infinite loop.

“Professor, the Quantum Institute says they are researching a new neural architecture, which is currently very fast. It won’t be long before a 150W is developed, we just need to wait a couple more days.”

“I know, but… never mind, if the 150W still doesn’t work, I’ll go to Jinling and ask Professor Tang for advice.”

Tang Rui was not aware of the predicament of the Dongfang Super Ring.

If he knew, he would have given them a low-level quantum supercomputing architecture.

That thing was not valuable to him.

In terms of versions, that architecture was three versions behind the Red Lotus and didn’t come with artificial intelligence.

Unfortunately, Tang Rui was unaware of this situation.

For the next period of time, Tang Rui spent his days playing games, stroking cats, occasionally flying his plane around Tianshan, dealing with matters for at most an hour a day, afraid to do more.

The higher-ups thought there was something wrong with Tang Rui’s mindset.

How could he start slacking off like this?

Lin Chao was concerned about this and asked Tang Rui if he had any thoughts or if he was unhappy.

Tang Rui was completely baffled.

His life was so good, how could he be unhappy?

Later, when he understood, he told Lin Chao directly.

The New Year was approaching.

It’s not good to work hard.

That day, Tang Rui was competing with Little Dumpling for bamboo shoots.

But he received a message from Red Lotus, saying there was movement from America’s side.

Three of America’s best strategic nuclear submarines suddenly left home and was headed toward the Korean Peninsula..”
