“report, the 5th division of the sudanese military is advancing towards the southwest. camps 5, 7, and 9 have suffered heavy losses and cannot hold out. requesting evacuation.”

“report, the 6th division of the sudanese military is launching an attack on area 11. the tribal armed forces have suffered heavy losses and cannot hold out.”

“report, the crimson armored forces are about to enter the hada region, only 37 kilometers away from our position.”

three rounds of sweeping bombardment.

it left the american side completely bewildered.

the tribal armed forces were almost wiped out, and the mercenaries also suffered heavy losses.

it’s not that they were unprepared, it was just that this wasn’t how war is fought.

this wasn’t a positional battle; such bombardment was unheard of.

if it were just conventional bombardment, that would be one thing, but the enemy’s rockets seemed to have eyes.

they were striking with incredible accuracy.

not to mention those cruise missiles, these were simply a nightmare for the mercenaries. even the most skilled in individual tactics have no way to counter these missiles and could only endure the bombardment.

“do the enemies have an awacs?” asked the rehired general in confusion.

“no, satellites have not detected any awacs. in fact, the enemy hasn’t even deployed any air units.”

no awacs?

then how were their rockets so accurate?

especially changing direction in the air, these were almost like missiles. who had rockets that could turn corners?

the most crucial part was, how did the enemy know their every move? that was the most terrifying part.

modern warfare was all about information warfare.

but how did the enemy find out their information? especially the hidden information.

did they have a traitor on their side?

but that didn’t make sense.

unless he himself was the traitor, no one else could have access to all their information.

this was a truly desperate situation.

the enemy knew his every move. how could he fight?

he used to mock the enemy in his mind.

throwing so many rockets and cruise missiles, none were aimed at their command center, airport, power plant, radar, or other vital facilities, all targeting combat units.

that was foolish.

but as the enemy’s rounds of bombing continued, he felt foolish, and his forces were almost driven insane.

“report, the armored forces request air support.”

“i know.”

the rehired general took a deep breath, calmed himself, and looked at the electronic sand table in front of him.

it showed the direction of the enemy’s attack.

there was actually not much to see.

from the left, center, and right, they were just pushing straight forward, without any concealment or additional arrangement.

and their forces were now all crippled.

relying on individual mercenary squads to fight a well-organized army was impossible.

now their only hope for a turnaround was the armored force in the hada region.

that was the most elite ground force they had, all experienced veterans and equipped with the latest gear.

currently, they didn’t even know how the enemy is tracking their movements, so it was impossible to rely on flexible tactics to defeat the enemy. the only thing left was to make one last bet.

“notify the flight squadron, all fighters take off, head to the hada region, carry long-range precision-guided bombs, and attack the enemy’s armored units.

“notify the rear missile forces, lock on to the enemy armored forces, and conduct fire strikes.

“notify all mercenary squads, terminate current missions, and regroup in the hada region, double time.”

three consecutive orders.

he was going all in.

if they could eliminate the enemy’s armored forces, then there’s still a chance to fight. but if their own armored forces are wiped out.

then there was no need to fight.

just surrender.

although they still had the south sudanese army, the decrepit conditions of that force would render any actions useless.

one round of missile sweeping by the enemy, and they’d be wiped out.

they didn’t even qualify as cannon fodder.

on the other side, in the command center, tang rui and han shu, looking at the holographic projection sand table showing the enemy’s troop movements, both smiled.

finally, they’d gathered.

it was good that they’d gathered. if they hadn’t, we would have had to send out special forces squads to capture them everywhere, which would be very troublesome.

now the enemy had all gathered together.

just right for a sweeping push.

“order the armored forces to halt their advance, maintain alert on the spot, turn on all anti-air systems, and wait for orders.”

han shu gave the order to the armored forces, letting them rest on the spot for a while.

now, the distance between the two ground forces is just over thirty kilometers. if they continue to advance, they could meet in half an hour.

that would be too soon, as the enemy’s forces would not have fully assembled yet.

so there’s no rush, just wait a while.

even without hiding and disguising, a bunch of tanks stopped on the main road, quite arrogantly.

beep beep beep…

suddenly, an alarm flashed on the sand table.

more than twenty red dots, moving at high speed, were flying towards the armored forces.

tang rui clicked on the sand table to enlarge these red dots.

they were all missiles.

all heavy ground-to-ground missiles, capable of systematically annihilating an armored cluster.

both of them, upon seeing these missiles, were unconcerned.

a distance of more than three hundred kilometers.

for these missiles, that is quite close.

soon, the silhouettes of the missiles appeared on the horizon.

whoosh whoosh whoosh…

the anti-air missiles on the fire support vehicles began to launch, a series of short-range anti-air missiles quickly ascending.

in less than five seconds, a series of fireworks appeared in the distant sky.

all the missiles were intercepted.

not a single missile could approach within five kilometers of the armored forces.

this five-kilometer area was the absolute defense circle of the armored forces.

when han shu and his team were conducting exercises domestically, besides artillery shells, no type of missile could breach this defense circle.

firing anti-tank weapons within two kilometers was also pointless… because inside there is another layer of 500-meter close-defense artillery.

if the enemy had heavy artillery, han shu wouldn’t have dared to do this.

unfortunately, the enemy didn’t even have heavy artillery, let alone guns or missiles.

the only artillery they had was a howitzer.

that thing had too short a range and couldn’t reach them.

after the missile attack, the enemy’s fighter jets were also heading there, expected to arrive in five minutes.

“why don’t they send f-22s over, what’s the use of f-i6s, shooting them down feels no sense of achievement.”

looking at the enemy’s fighter jets, tang rui was displeased.

“maybe they saw that we don’t have fighter jets, so they didn’t bring out the fifth-generation aircraft,” han shu casually replied.

“if i had known, i would have brought a fifth-generation aircraft myself, but it’s too late now.

“by the way, those man-portable air defense (manpads) missiles you made, can they shoot them down?”

“of course, let the armored forces launch the manpads, and you’ll see how effective they are.”

“okay, let’s try the man-portable air defense missiles first, and if they don’t work, use the vehicle-mounted ones.”

after han shu finished speaking, he issued orders to the armored forces.

soon, the rear hatch of the armed transport vehicle opened, and a group of soldiers carrying manpads ran out.

they didn’t need to aim.

just fired towards the unobstructed sky at an upward angle.

after launching, the air defense missiles were automatically taken over by red lotus, locking onto the enemy fighter jets.

this lock wasn’t a fire control illumination but a satellite lock.

so the pilots didn’t even know that they were locked on.

only when the air defense missiles entered their radar scanning range did they realize that there were missiles ahead.

before that, they wouldn’t feel anything.

“clearly, the enemy doesn’t have air power, so why send us to strike ground forces? shouldn’t this be the job of those two ground-hugging pigs?”

“seems like the enemy’s anti-air weapons are advanced, so those two ground-hugging pigs are useless.”

“anti-air weapons? they don’t even have radar, where do they get anti-air weapons…”

beep beep beep…

at this moment, alarms sounded in the cockpits of all fighter jets.

the radar detected more than twenty missiles flying towards them… and right in front of them.

at that moment, all the pilots instinctively maxxed their throttles, then pulled up sharply to climb and released decoy flares.

unfortunately, by the time they noticed the anti-air missiles, there was basically nothing they could do anymore, decoy flares couldn’t save them, and even jamming was useless.

boom boom boom…

a series of explosions appeared in the sky.

countless fighter jet debris scattered from the sky.

under the control of red lotus, the air defense missiles perfectly completed their mission, shooting down all enemy aircraft..
