at nasa’s satellite monitoring center.

as the white emperor spacefighter left the atmosphere, they began tracking it. after all, monitoring launches and space objects was their department’s job. whoever launched a satellite or sent something into outer space, you could bet your money that they were monitoring it.

presently, they were looking at the white emperor releasing the box on its back. the box then opened, and a mechanical arm grabbed the satellite and placed it outside.

they were no longer interested in the white emperor.

they had seen it too many times.

they were, however, very interested in that cylindrical satellite.

this was because the satellite didn’t deploy solar sails and just quietly floated in place after it entered orbit.

“what kind of satellite do you think this is?”

“it’s not a navigation satellite; it must be a communication satellite. at this orbital height, it’s definitely not a remote sensing or scanning satellite,” an engineer remarked.

“do you think this could be some sort of space weapon?” someone suddenly asked.

“impossible, judging by its shape, it doesn’t look like a space weapon. besides, this is the geosynchronous orbit, who would it attack?”

everyone found this reasoning sound.

armed satellites need to change orbits to strike most targets; no one would place an armed satellite in a geosynchronous orbit.

“boss, the satellite the military asked us to reposition has completed its maneuver, and everything is normal now.”

“understood, relay the message to the military.”

“will do.”

after the task was completed, the worker in charge of the satellite repositioning joined the discussion.

everyone was curious.

what kind of satellite had tang rui sent up?

on the other side, tang rui, having received the message from red lotus, watched the american satellite through the white emperor’s radar, feeling annoyed.

that spot was reserved for his laser-armed satellite.

and it had been snatched up by the americans.

what could be done?

it was easy enough.

just make it disappear.

however, tang rui didn’t plan to act rashly. even if he had to act, he wanted to keep it clean, leaving no trace.

this was different from running over and dismantling someone’s satellite.

that would just be a navigation error.

if you rushed up and blew up someone’s satellite, that would be a big deal.

so tang rui decided on a different approach, a more covert one.

after retrieving the box, tang rui pulled the control stick, directing the white emperor to turn around and head back to the company.

on the way back, tang rui contacted the space agency to see if they had any supplies to send to the space station. he would be going back up and could take some items with him.

the space agency thought it was a good idea.

since he was going up anyway, it’d be unsurprising if he carried along some stuff with him.

when tang rui returned to the company, red lotus controlled a robot to refuel the white emperor, meanwhile placing the second satellite in the box.

during this time, tang rui went to the lab.

he took out a fist-sized electric propulsion engine and, after attaching a kilogram of explosives with a detonator, welded it to the engine.

then he spent three origin points to enhance the device.

[item: stealth self-detonating space bomb]

[experience: o/o]

[enhancement: invisibility, engine]

[origin points: 970.46]

after reviewing the data on the system panel, tang rui slightly curled his lips, then packed the device in a bag.

once red lotus finished refueling and setting up the satellite, he set off again.

but this time he didn’t go straight to outer space.

instead, he made a trip to xichang.

after picking up two external pods there, he flew out of earth.

he soon arrived outside the space station.

when tang rui unloaded the supplies, he attached the self-detonating bomb under one of the pods.

after delivering the items to the space station, he returned to the geosynchronous orbit and placed the second satellite into orbit.

but at that moment, the both optically and radar-invisible self-destruct bomb quietly flew out, slowly heading toward the american satellite.

all this went unnoticed, even by nasa’s satellite monitoring center who had their eyes locked on tang rui.

no anomalies were detected.

after deploying the satellite, he returned again.

on the way back, red lotus reported to him.

the self-destruct bomb was close to the american satellite and ready to rush up and explode at any moment.

“red lotus, wait for my command. when i say fire, you detonate the bomb.” “okay, master.”

after refueling at the company, tang rui, with the laser-armed satellite, ascended once again.

just as the white emperor was about to breach high orbit, tang rui, seeing the trajectory calculated by red lotus, gave the order.

“red lotus, detonate the bomb.”

“okay.”

300 kilometers from the white emperor space fighter, the american satellite suddenly exploded, instantly turning into debris.

the mess of tiny pieces scattered, some of them following the orbit, heading straight for tang rui’s location.

300 kilometers on the ground was a great distance, but in space, especially when both objects were moving very fast, it happened virtually instantaneously.

crackle… pop…

a bunch of tiny debris struck the white emperor’s fuselage but did no damage.

even the surface coating remained intact.

this debris wouldn’t stand a chance against the nanocoating.

this was all part of tang rui’s plan.

naturally, he wouldn’t create trouble for himself and put himself in jeopardy..
