this city was not a major town or industrial center, just a small city with few stationed troops.

but then, he wasn’t worried anymore.

crimson corporation was simply too powerful.

their long-range fire support was unbeatable.

the war reporters on the rooftop were also at a loss for words then, unsure of

what to say.

their previous arrangement hadn’t included the annihilation of these tribal armed forces.

now she was in an awkward position.

the tribal armed forces she had hyped up as freedom fighters were done for.

didn’t this mean that freedom was doomed too?

“oh… god, this is simply a massacre, deliberately orchestrated by the dictatorial government. they had known about the movement, but just waited for the tribes to make their move, then wiped them all out.

-it is utterly terrifying. is this still the 21st century? how can such blatant massacre, a sheer crime against humanity, still occur?

true to her profession as a reporter, her reaction was quick.

she started to spin the story again.

after she finished speaking, she quickly turned off the camera.

in the studio, the host took over from the reporter, continuing to spin the story from the perspective of ‘ying-chan’, contemplating on behalf of the people of the asu family.

“brother han, what should we do next?”

after the tribal armed forces were wiped out, tang rui spoke up again to inquire.

“next, we move on the flanks. there’s an elite enemy unit there, and they’ve also infiltrated a special forces team.

“but under our detection, any infiltration is meaningless. now we need to take

them out.”

han shu pointed out, referring to a special forces unit on the flank.

“i’ll take care of this. let me take command,” tang rui immediately said.

“okay, then that special forces unit is yours to handle. i’ll go contact the sudanese military; they’re in a bit of danger over there.

“alright.”

tang rui indicated that he could go, and he would take care of things here.

it was just a special forces unit.

no big deal.

he looked at the sand table, found a special operations squad closest to the special forces unit, clicked on the screen, and opened a communication link.

“this is tang rui, can you hear me?”

“crimson security squad 12 reporting.”

“good, your squad will be under my command. now leave and head to the location i’ve marked.

there’s an enemy special forces unit, three times your number. the real-time battlefield map has been sent to you. move out now.”

tang rui issued the order to the special operations squad.

it didn’t matter who they were.

now, they were under crimson security.

“understood.”

after receiving the order, squad 12 didn’t raise any objections and acted according to tang rui’s commands.

forty minutes later, squad 12 reached the marked location.

“report, squad 12 has arrived at the mission location. awaiting instructions,” the squad leader reported to tang rui.

“alright, i order that, except for the snipers setting up cover on both sides, everyone else prepares for close combat.

the enemy has no heavy weapons and cannot pose any threat to you, so your mission is to capture them alive.

next, use your pistols, aim to wound the targets primarily, but you may also kill the enemy based on the situation on the battlefield.

the same goes for snipers, if you see any dangerous actions from the enemy, shoot to kill.”

“understood.”

after hearing tang rui’s orders, they knew what to do.

the enemy might be special forces, but they weren’t worried.

it wasn’t that they were necessarily more skilled than the enemy.

it was mainly the gap in equipment.

their equipment might not be more expensive than the enemy’s, but its performance was definitely much better.

based on the scanning function in their helmets, they had already confirmed that these people had no heavy weapons.

the only thing that could harm them was the anti-infantry mines in their backpacks.

but who would use that in a frontal battlefield?

so, there was basically no threat.

ten minutes later.

the ten members of squad 12 were already in ambush.

speaking about an ambush, they could only kill five or six enemies.

after all, the enemy also maintained formation.

even while moving, they would watch all sides, not just their front, but also their rear.

“captain, this is the quality of the green berets… it doesn’t seem so great. how were their jungle and guerrilla warfare hyped up to be top-notch in the world?” watching the special forces soldiers not far ahead, a member of squad 12 said discontentedly.

“because in actual combat, we have to admit, they’ve experienced more real combat than us,” the captain said while hiding.

now with new equipment, they didn’t have to worry about the enemy intercepting their signals during combat.

so talking and such weren’t as strictly regulated.

“we’ve also had our fair share of real combat recently, it’s just that our equipment is too good, making the fight uninteresting.

“why don’t you fight without your gear then?” another squad member said.

“only a fool wouldn’t use good equipment. i was talking about the lack of challenge, not about not using equipment.”

“alright, enough talk, prepare for battle.”

“understood.”

at this time, the enemy was less than too meters away from them.

but the enemy couldn’t find them.

it wasn’t that the green beret soldiers were incompetent; it’s just that they were hidden and wouldn’t show themselves.

they relied entirely on the battlefield map for observation.

in this situation, unless the green berets had x-ray vision, they really couldn’ find them..
