“president, there’s a problem.”

“what’s the matter, all flustered? get out.”

the president of samsung group, looking at his secretary who rushed into his office without even knocking, was quite displeased.

“president, nasa says there’s a problem with the batteries we provided. it caused a navigation satellite to explode, and they’re demanding we compensate for all the losses.”

“our batteries?”

the president was baffled after hearing this.

he was aware of the explosion of the american satellite, but he never imagined it could be linked to their group.

“what kind of batteries did we provide for the satellite?” the president inquired, frowning.

“it’s a button battery used on the mainboard,” the secretary answered.

what battery?

a button battery?

a battery smaller than a fingernail cap caused a satellite to explode?

ridiculous.

this was clearly a deliberate attempt to make samsung take the fall.

“president, should we issue a statement to clarify?”

“release a statement… confess it was a technical issue with our batteries that caused the satellite explosion, and we’ll take full responsibility for the losses.” what else could samsung do?

they had no choice but to accept this blame, even though they didn’t want to. who would have thought that this responsibility would be thrust upon them by uncle sam? they had no option but to accept it.

ten minutes later, samsung group issued a statement, accepting responsibility for nasa’s losses and announcing plans to upgrade their battery technology.

the next morning, tang rui, eating breakfast, was stunned when he saw the news. it took him a while to react.

well then.

the satellite exploded due to a battery problem.

that seemed plausible.

with this, the repair costs he demanded would be paid by the americans, though not directly.

regardless of who paid, being able to blow up an opponent’s satellite and also make some money on the side felt exhilarating.

for the first time, tang rui ate two extra meat buns for breakfast.

he arrived at the company after breakfast.

a large transport plane was already parked on the runway. red lotus was controlling robots to continuously transport supplies to the plane’s cargo hold.

this plane was one tang rui had previously manufactured for the military. although its appearance had changed, its performance had not diminished.

it just didn’t have a seg unit and couldn’t leave the atmosphere, but otherwise, its capabilities were comparable to his private jet, capable of intercontinental flights without any issue.

“red lotus, how many trips will it take to transport all the supplies and materials?”

“master, based on the current amount of materials, it will take five round trips to transport everything.”

tang rui nodded after hearing this and left the rest to red lotus to manage.

he then went to lin chao.

inquiring about personnel arrangements and how to proceed with subsequent matters.

“don’t worry about the personnel issue; they have already left on commercial flights. they will take a tour there and then return by plane. even if someone notices, it’s too late.

as for the contract between crimson corporation and sudan, here’s a copy of the agreement from above, all signed and finalized.”

tang rui smirked when he saw the copy of the contract.

the signature on it bore his name.

even the company’s official seal was there.

alright then.

he couldn’t tell it was forged anyway.

“is there anything else from above?”

“that’s all, the rest is up to you.”

“alright, i got it.”

after leaving lin chao’s place, tang rui headed to the blue army command center.

“brother han, how do you feel about the newly upgraded communication system and battlefield support system?”

after initiating communication with han shu, tang rui asked with a smile. “nothing to complain about, especially that battlefield support system. it’s practically full-map x-ray vision. it’s just a pity our electronic sand table isn’t up to par.

“if we had a holographic projection sand table, the effect would be even better. it’d be like playing a video game,” han shu commented, not expecting tang rui to leverage information advantage to such an extent.

it was like a high-dimensional perspective, just like playing a game.

“a holographic projection sand table, huh? no big deal. i’ll bring one over with the next shipment. it’s better for us to use holographic projection for meetings. otherwise, connecting via video feels a bit awkward.”

tang rui didn’t mind han shu’s request for holographic projection. future warfare without such technology would indeed be inadequate.

to fully utilize the capabilities of the neutrino information capture radar, holographic projection equipment is necessary.

2d display for 3d imaging always felt off.

even if it looked 3d, it was just pseudo-3d, and some obscured areas were invisible.

with holographic projection, however, it was like having a god’s eye view, looking down on the whole situation.

if that person had holographic projection back in the day, remote micromanagement would have been possible. the positioning of machine gun nests could have been commanded down to centimeters, but unfortunately, such equipment wasn’t available at the time.

“by the way, i noticed a problem. the utilization rate of our mainframe has dropped several notches. there’s no issue, right?” after some small talk, han shu suddenly remembered something.

“don’t worry, that’s because i’m providing computing power remotely through the satellite, reducing the energy consumption of your equipment’s mainframe,” tang rui said with a laugh after hearing this.

with the black-tech communication satellite, han shu’s equipment could share the computing power of red lotus.

naturally, the consumption of the equipment’s built-in mainframe system is reduced.

through this, the performance of the equipment would be enhanced again. “remote computing power? can this power be used on weapons, like missiles and cruise missiles?” han shu asked immediately after hearing this.

if missiles could use remotely provided computing power.

their precision would increase more than just a notch.

after all, the chips on missiles have limited computing power.

if they could provide massive computing power and information processing ability to missiles, wouldn’t that make their accuracy sky-high?

“um… that’s certainly no problem, but the missiles made previously can’t use

it, as they don’t have the reserved functional module.”

“no worries, our missile accuracy is already sufficient. but if this can be applied to cruise missiles, then send us a batch of upgraded cruise missiles.”

“no problem, i’ll upgrade the cruise missiles right now.”

tang rui felt this idea was indeed excellent.

previous cruise missiles relied on onboard systems to process data and had to add various functional components, so the carried explosives were limited, and the power was not very strong.

but if all these devices are removed, leaving only the remote control system and flight control system, using the rest for explosives, the effect would be incredible.

tang rui got excited as he thought about this.

his first line of armaments was cruise missiles.

now it seems, cruise missiles still have value for enhancement, especially in terms of cost-effectiveness.

after hanging up the communication, tang rui returned to the lab and instructed red lotus to make a cruise missile without any optoelectronic devices.

in less than ten minutes, the cruise missile was completed.

the structure of the entire missile didn’t undergo unnecessary modifications, still maintaining that unsightly cylindrical shape.

but the front camera was gone, and about 80% of the various devices and accessories inside were cut, leaving only the information transmission interface and flight control system. the space freed up was filled with explosives.

the original carrying capacity of five kilograms of explosives tripled to fifteen kilograms.

this was after increasing the battery size to improve speed and flight range; otherwise, even more could be added.

tang rui glanced at the cruise missile.

a click to enhance.

swipe!

a blue light flashed.

enhancement complete.

the newly enhanced cruise missile resembled a small supersonic missile, equipped with four tail fins.

[item: high-energy cruise missile]

[experience: 0/1600)

[enhancement: integrated combat energy core)

[attribute: explosion power increased by 180%]

[origin points: 985.48]

tang rui looked at the data on the system panel and found that this device was indeed simple and crude, even the attributes were the same.

as for the integrated combat energy core, it was essentially a battery.

the entire cruise missile was a large high-energy battery.

during the flight, it drew energy from the battery.

upon encountering the enemy, the battery would transform into a bomb, detonating instantly with enormous power.

a high-explosive battery?

this must be samsung’s technological tree..
