red lotus, please conduct a thorough examination of these resumes and identify any discrepancies.”

“of course, master. the vetting process is underway.”

in just under three minutes, red lotus had flagged 28 problematic resumes.

this did not imply that their resumes and credentials were fraudulent.

those who had submitted their documents had already undergone stringent government scrutiny, and their educational backgrounds were undoubtedly legitimate.

but there were some intricacies that everyone was well aware of.

to put it simply:

during his college years, there was a remarkably well-connected individual with a penchant for pushing the boundaries. his inherent academic prowess was average, not a complete underachiever, but far from an academic prodigy.

despite his modest capabilities, he managed to secure a first-place victory in the national university physics experimental competition.

no need to ask.

the answer was teamwork, with the brilliant leading the way.

as long as it wasn’t a solo competition, group dynamics allowed some exceptional individuals to infiltrate, and objections were futile.

the majority of the resumes and information flagged by red lotus fell into this category, with a few exceptions related to published research papers.

after tang rui reviewed these resumes and documents, he promptly excluded these individuals.

following this, he began to systematically review the resumes that red lotus had compiled, one by one.

the front-runners were all exceptional talents.

a considerable number of them had left behind tales of their extraordinary achievements during their college days.

a single night’s effort.

with red lotus’s assistance, tang rui sifted through hundreds of resumes, ultimately selecting 165 individuals.

these candidates then underwent a more in-depth investigation by red lotus, leading to the elimination of 19 individuals by tang rui.

in the end, 146 candidates successfully secured a place in the project team.

“please forward this list to lin chao.”

“understood, master.”

checking the time, tang rui noticed that it was already 11:42 p.m.

he hastily returned to his quarters for some much-needed rest.

the next day, tang rui arrived at the company and instructed the logistics team to procure the necessary supplies.

previously, the company had not accommodated such a large number of employees. despite numerous dormitories, they had remained vacant, resulting in insufficient supplies.

now, with over a hundred people set to arrive, it was imperative to equip the premises with all necessary items.

moreover, the procurement had to be swift. some of the faster-moving items might even arrive by the following day.

failing to have the dormitories prepared in time would be nothing short of an embarrassment.

tang rui had been overly optimistic. even the quickest candidates didn’t wait until the next day; some individuals had already arrived at the company’s entrance in the afternoon.

however, they were stopped by the vigilant soldiers on duty.

“please remain here and refrain from making any movements. 1 will contact crimson to verify your information. until then, kindly avoid any hazardous actions.”

on the road outside the company’s premises, located within the military jurisdiction, several soldiers kept a watchful eye on the newcomer.

“yes, i assure you, 1 won’t budge.”

the researcher from the shanghai optoelectronics institute found himself somewhat overwhelmed and stood still, resembling a soldier at attention.

after some time, gao yang arrived at the gate and escorted the newcomer away.

upon reaching the company’s entrance, gao yang instructed the newcomer to place their belongings through the inspection equipment and follow through the designated security passage.

“beep… inspection complete, identity confirmed. researcher zhang xiaotian, welcome to crimson.”

once zhang xiaotian emerged from the specialized security passage, he remained somewhat bewildered. the level of scrutiny there was extraordinarily advanced.

“this is your wristband. please put it on, and do not remove it. this is the company’s internal office assistant; simply scan the qr code and download it to your phone. later, i will take you to your dormitory. if you have any queries, feel free to consult the office assistant.”

with that, gao yang left the newcomer to acclimatize to their surroundings.

in the dormitory, zhang xiaotian was left alone, still feeling somewhat puzzled.

did he have any questions that could be directed to the office assistant?

the software had already been downloaded.

upon opening it, the system recognized the wristband’s identity information and allowed zhang xiaotian to access a newcomer’s announcement.

the announcement provided comprehensive insights into crimson corporation’s internal rules, including guidelines on areas that were accessible and off-limits, as well as how daily life and work routines were structured, and the associated benefits and perks.

every detail was meticulously outlined.

upon perusing the document, zhang xiaotian ventured to ask, “red lotus?”

“researcher zhang xiaotian, do you have any queries?” red lotus’s voice echoed within the dormitory.

“i’d like to inquire if i can ask you anything.”

“only questions related to work and daily life, please.”

“what if i wish to venture out to make a purchase, is that permissible?”

“no need to go outside. simply open the office software, access the delivery page, and make direct purchases. deliveries will be coordinated centrally.”

“what if i want to dine out?”

“yes, please request leave in advance and adhere to the designated time.”

“do i need to request leave after working hours as well?”

“yes, going out necessitates reporting; it’s a company policy.”

“am i allowed to stay out overnight?”

“yes, but you must return to work punctually the next day.”

“aren’t you concerned about potential breaches of company secrets?”

“you’re welcome to try.”

after hearing this, zhang xiaotian smirked. he had no intention of experimenting with that prospect.

however, through his conversation with red lotus, zhang xiaotian soon discovered that crimson possessed extraordinary prowess in the field of artificial intelligence.

engaging with red lotus, he would never have guessed it was an al if he hadn’t been forewarned. at most, he might have mistaken red lotus for a poised and aloof lady.

“red lotus, what are your criteria for selecting a partner?” after chatting for a while, zhang xiaotian’s curiosity prompted him to pose a question to red lotus.

“questions unrelated to work and daily life consume computational resources and result in a five-point deduction.”

zhang xiaotian could only respond with a bemused expression..
