di di di…

the computer beeped, and the email icon flashed.

hardy, who was drinking, opened the email impatiently.

when he saw the contents of the email, he became somewhat sobered and he was more energetic.

“any of you guys there?” then, he shouted outside.

“boss, what’s the matter?” a burly man pushed open the door and walked in.

“what’s the matter? it’s a life-threatening matter. hurry up and inform everyone.”

“run away? boss, we just received the mission.”

“we’re running because you guys accepted the mission. don’t talk nonsense. hurry up spread the news!” hardy roared.

in less than twenty minutes, the mercenary group of over a dozen individuals hauled their equipment and made a run for it. they didn’t even take some of the supplies that had just been delivered. the tribesmen would soon come to scavenge it anyway.

“boss, why are we running?”

on the way, the members of the mercenary group asked very nicely.

“this is a message from the boss! you can take a look for yourselves.”

hardy opened the email for everyone to read.

damn!

in an instant, a series of shocked gasps came from inside the car.

running wasn’t an option.

it was simply too terrifying.

the hellfire mercenary group, which was much more powerful than them, had sent out a tactical team, but all of them had died in the congo mine.

death was normal for mercenaries.

how could there be no deaths in war?

but the problem was how they died.

if one failed to kill its adversary on the battlefield, theywould simply be considered as the inferior force. there was no two ways about it.

however, the tactical team of the hellfire mercenary group was different.

they were aggrieved.

according to the site investigation, all the tribal militia in the mine had been shot in the head before they could even move.

as for hellfire, they were directly shot through the wall.

they met their maker before they could even see their assailant.

still, it wasn’t a situation to be gawked at. the key was that at the scene, they also found traces of missile bombardment.

if that were the case, it would be fine. the problem was that they found traces of missile bombardment at the scene.

what kind of game was this?

mercenaries like them could handle black uncles, but fighting a war with missiles and a regular army? wasn’t that insane?

needless to say, this time, it was obvious that the chinese had made their move.

that invisible transport plane that could take off and land vertically and carry anti-ground weapons was simply a nightmare for the mercenaries.

let someone else do the money-making work.

no one signed up for the job that was essentially sending themselves to their deaths.

originally, they had come to the congo to find work, but now that they saw the message sent by their manager, who felt compelled to directly confront the chinese, all they could do was to run as fast as they could.

a late escape would only mean certain death.

actually, at that moment, they were not the only mercenary group to run away. at least a dozen mercenary groups who had accepted the congo mission also chose to run away.

everyone in this line of work knew.

don’t attack the five great powers, and don’t even think about an encounter with their troops. the consequences were not something they could bear.

originally, they had accepted the mission on the alliance website. they thought that it would be the same as the usual missions.

in the end, it seemed that something was wrong.

the f*cking mercenary alliance was using them as cannon fodder to deal with the chinese.

only a fool would accept such a mission.

“boss, didn’t it say that the person who attacked was a security guard from a private company?”

“security? private company? which eye did you see that this is a private company?”

“the logo on their transport plane is the logo of a private company. it’s the company that sold the robotic dog.”

“alright, just treat it as a private company. but even if it’s a private company, it has to be some private arms company like lockheed-martin.”

“boss, you’re right.”

not to mention the fact that the mercenaries had retreated after receiving the news, the video on the internet was already extremely popular.

however, ordinary people did not treat this video as a real video at all.

they considered it more like a movie.

nowadays, there were many film enthusiasts, and among them were die-hard fans of war flicks. not to mention, many of these sci-fi and war-themed niche movies were diehard fans.

they didn’t care which country the movie was filmed in, all they wanted was a good film and a good time.

the video that spread over the internet quickly caught the eye of foreign security experts. it concerned them so much that they immediately sent their technical teams to china for more clues.

they asked chinese netizens which movie it was and where they could download the whole film.

they were movie lovers, and everyone understood.

in our country, there were also many fans of romance and action movies, and they would ask for such things from other countries every day.

so when these people came, our netizens warmly welcomed them.

what movie trailer? let us see it.

which entertainment company actually released the promotional video overseas? i’ve never heard of it.

in the end, after watching the trailer, the domestic netizens fell silent.

this thing didn’t seem to be a trailer.

it was more like a documentary.

the cameraman was definitely american—the video was very hawkish, and it felt like a blockbuster.

they then uploaded the video online.

the netizens were resourceful.

soon, they found the paintball in the video and identified the logo on the transport plane as the crimson corp.

crimson corp, had been popular once before.

before the new year, when the mechanical dog showed off its might in the middle east, crimson corp, had been on the trending searches.

there were still many netizens who remembered crimson corp.

the discovery shocked everyone.

the netizens dug as far as they could and found that the person being rescued in the video was from china railway’s third bureau.

someone recognized the person in the video.

things were getting interesting.

some netizens used technical means to trace the source of the video and even asked the person who shot it for the original video.

as the original video was posted online, the entire internet exploded.

even though it was late at night, excited netizens couldn’t stop themselves from spreading the news to their friends.

tang rui got up the next morning, ate breakfast, and played with his phone.

he suddenly realized that something was wrong with the trending searches.

the first one read…

“what kind of company is crimson corp?”

what was going on?

why was his company trending?

“red lotus, what the heck is going on?” tang rui asked.

“master, it’s like this…”

red lotus recounted the cause and effect of the entire matter to tang rui and emphasized that the main reason was that the foreign netizens treated yesterday’s rescue video as a movie trailer.

tang rui pursed his lips after hearing this.

this was quite miraculous.

however, he did not take it seriously. it was just a trending topic.

if the higher-ups didn’t care, it meant that nothing had happened.

after breakfast, tang rui left home and prepared to find han shu to continue discussing the mechanized corps.

as soon as he walked out of the mountain, he heard the roar of the fighter jet engine.

he looked up and saw j-io, and from its flight attitude, it seemed to be preparing to land..
