puff…

air spurted out from both sides of the fighter jet at the same time.

the air pressure in the cockpit instantly dropped to zero.

beep!

tang rui opened the cockpit cover, unfastened the seatbelt, and picked up the box from the back seat.

it was only then that he realized that red lotus had sprayed the logo and text of china post on the other side of the box.

good heavens.

this was a delivery, wasn’t it?

tang rui carried the box, and the micro-plasma engine behind his suit started. he slowly flew out of the cockpit and floated toward the space station.

the three astronauts in the space station were dumbfounded when they saw tang rui’s sci-fi look and the china post box in his hand.

“is it time to send supplies?”

“no, didn’t the higher-ups say that president tang was here to pick old sun up? why did it become a gift?”

“let’s not talk about this for now. hurry up and open the hatch.”

after a few words, the astronauts quickly ran to the system mainframe and opened the hatch.

by the time tang rui flew over, the space station’s hatch had already opened, and he directly flew in.

as the cabin door closed, the cabin was pressured.

the safety warning light inside the space station turned green. the hatch inside opened, and three astronauts appeared at the hatch entrance.

tang rui’s two feet kicked, and he rushed over by relying on the reaction force.

one he was securely in the inner cabin, he took off his helmet.

“happy new year, big brothers and sisters.”

tang rui greeted the three people with a smile.

“happy new year, president tang.”

“happy new year, president tang.”

“president tang, you came quite suddenly.”

“surprises are always sudden. oh right, i also brought some fruits for everyone.”

after tang rui finished speaking, he opened the box.

crack!

the box was opened, and a finely cut fruit platter appeared in front of their eyes.

to be honest, the value of this fruit plate was at most 180 yuan on the ground, but in the space station, it was priceless.

“thank you, president tang.”

“you really came all the way, president tang.”

“this is all rather refreshing.”

the three astronauts were all professionally trained. under normal circumstances, they could definitely control the expressions on their faces.

but now, they really couldn’t hold back their astonishment.

paying a casual visit to the space station was truly a first.

meanwhile, at the ground-based space command center, a large screen displayed a video of the four of them enjoying the fruit platter inside the space station. it was quite amusing.

the bureau chief laughed when he saw this.

then, he shook his head speechlessly.

they ate happily, but they were on tenterhooks.

after all, the fighter jet and the space station were not docked together. they were flying at the same speed in the same orbit.

it looked fine now, but in space, any small problem could become a big one.

therefore, after a few people ate some fruits.

so, after the astronauts enjoyed some fruit, the space command center called the space station to urge them to finish up and prepare for the return.

“the people below are urging us. then let’s go, brother sun.”

“okay, let me put on my spacesuit.”

spacesuit?

tang rui was dumbfounded when he saw the spacesuit sun lihai took out.

the white emperor could not dock with the space station, so he had to do a spacewalk. of course, he had to wear a spacesuit.

however, the space in the backseat was not enough to fit him in his spacesuit.

“wait a minute… brother sun, it doesn’t look like you’re going to fit.”

“all…” sun lihai was also dumbfounded.

he looked at the sci-fi exosuit on tang rui’s body, then looked at the thirty-layered cotton-padded jacket in his hand, and didn’t even want to speak.

“something happened. brother sun put on his spacesuit, but 1 don’t think he’s going to fit in the plane,” tang rui came in front of the screen and said to mission control.

mission control was also speechless.

previously, they had only considered the issue of safety and had not considered whether they could sit down.

now that he thought about it, the cockpit of a fighter jet was indeed not big enough to accommodate astronauts in spacesuits.

even an empty spacesuit would not fit in the cockpit of a fighter jet, let alone one with an astronaut.

this was the first time a fighter jet had flown into outer space.

they had no experience either.

previously, they had subconsciously treated the fighter jet as a re-entry capsule.

this matter was a little awkward.

“it’s fine. there’s nothing wrong with me. i’ll just return as planned,” sun lihai said to the camera after putting down the spacesuit.

“alright, that’s the only way…”

“no need. i’ll just bring a set of clothes up after i go down. it’s not too far away. the round trip will take me less than half an hour,” tang rui interrupted mission control.

another flex?

did he think space was his own backyard?

err…

it seemed that it was not impossible with a space-faring fighter jet.

“wait a moment, let’s discuss.”

“come, let’s continue eating. it’ll be a pity if we don’t finish eating.”

“that’s right, this fruit plate is not cheap.”

tang rui and the others started eating again.

the space command center began to study how to maximize the benefits of this trip.

after all, it was space, and it was their expertise.

after all, it was space travel, and they were accustomed to considering every gram of weight.

now, tang rui had to make two empty trips, and they couldn’t afford that. they had to come up with a plan.

when tang rui and the astronauts finished the fruit platter and started chatting, the space command center had a plan in place.

after tang rui returned from space, he would go to xichang to pick up sun lihai and some supplies. then, he would return home to get the spacesuit. afterward, he would go to the space station with the replacement astronaut and the station’s supplies and bring sun lihai back.

except for this trip back being empty, all other trips would be fully loaded.

“okay, then it’s settled. brother sun, wait a moment. i’ll pick you up at eight.”

tang rui said to sun lihai after receiving the mission.

“alright, 1’11 wait for you.”

sun lihai couldn’t help but laugh and cry; he was at a space station.

it felt like waiting for a plane at an airport.

looking at the beautiful earth outside, it felt surreal.

tang rui put on the helmet, entered the isolation cabin, and then began to de-compress and open the cabin door.

whoosh!

flying out of the space station, tang rui returned to the cockpit and closed the hatch.

[cockpit pressurizing complete.]

“calling fish pond, return trajectory calculation completed. please return along the trajectory.”

“fish pond copies. returning now.”

tang rui pushed the throttle and pulled the control stick.

the white emperor space fighter turned around nimbly and began to accelerate, approaching earth along the orbit.

you couldn’t just casually fly back to earth from outside the atmosphere.

if the angle of entry was wrong, or the speed was wrong, you’d bounce off the atmosphere and fail to re-enter earth.

this was something that a senior had experimented on.

tang rui didn’t do anything fancy. he followed the set trajectory and honestly returned to orbit.

as he passed through the atmosphere, he entered the blackout phase once more.

this time, his speed was even faster than when he ascended.

visible plasma streams danced on the surface of the fighter jet.

when the altitude dropped to fifty thousand meters, communication with the ground was restored.

tang rui flew straight toward the xichang satellite launch center..
