president tang, i don’t know how to fly a plane,” lin chao, who was seated in the co-pilot seat of the private jet, said to tang rui with a dumbfounded look.

“i know. i didn’t ask you to fly a plane. just sit there and wait,” tang rui said while adjusting various parameters.

“no, if you don’t want me to fly the plane, why do you want me to be the co-pilot?” lin chao was even more dumbfounded when he heard that.

“it’s a little ceremonial. it’s boring to drive alone without someone sitting in the passenger seat,” tang rui said casually.

lin chao was speechless.

what else could he do? he could only sit obediently in the passenger seat and stare blankly at the display screen in front of him.

he really couldn’t understand, even though the parameters on it were only numbers and chinese characters.

however, he did not know what the parameters were for.

“master, the rv in the warehouse has been secured,” red lotus reported to tang rui.

tang rui glanced at the situation in the warehouse. the rv was already secured. he pressed the switch of the cargo hold and closed the rear hatch.

“fishpond to tower, requesting take-off.”

“control tower received, permission to take off.”

hearing the tower’s reply, tang rui activated the seg unit. the huge private jet slowly floated up. he retracted the landing gear, pushed the throttle, and pulled the control stick. the huge private jet adjusted its direction agilely and took off slowly.

this was not a fighter jet, and there was no need to fly so fast. very quickly, the private jet reached an altitude of 20,000 meters. tang rui turned on the automatic cruise. after he turned on the auxiliary driving mode, he took off his helmet.

“brother lin, let’s go to the lounge and have some tea,” tang rui pushed his seat back and got up to speak to lin chao.

“what? who’s flying the plane?” lin chao was shocked.

“what are you concerned about? do you understand the autopilot? this isn’t a fighter jet. there’s no need to monitor it continuously. other civilian aviation pilots take breaks after takeoff. my private jet is much safer than a civilian passenger plane,” tang rui reassured lin chao.

tang rui proceeded to pull lin chao’s seat back and usher him out of the cockpit, returning to the lounge where han shu and gao yang were seated.

“this isn’t civil aviation. you don’t need to sit here and stare blankly. unbuckle your seatbelts,” tang rui advised, unsure whether to laugh or be concerned.

then, he asked red lotus to arrange for a robot to bring the tea leaves so that everyone could make tea.

“president tang, is it really okay that no one is flying the plane?” lin chao couldn’t shake off his unease.

“don’t worry, brother lin. 1 value safety as much as you do,” tang rui responded with a hint of exasperation.

the group engaged in conversation while sipping tea in the lounge. today, tang rui flew a private jet to the northwest to witness a live ammunition test. his tanks, rockets, and other creations had undergone rigorous testing for over ten days, and this live ammunition test marked a crucial step in the equipment’s development.

after landing at a military airport, they continued to the test site using the rv, taking in the convenience of the private jet for group travel.

upon arrival at the remote testing ground, they found the tanks and armored vehicles created by tang rui neatly arranged on an open area with no structures within 100 meters.

“president tang, this is our secure facility. you will be able to observe the results of the live ammunition test clearly from here,” the testing ground’s official informed tang rui.

as a professional testing facility, the safe house was an essential part of their operations. the concrete walls were nearly half a meter thick, offering reliable protection.

“what are the tests for today?” tang rui inquired, curious about the live ammunition tests he was witnessing for the first time.

“we’ll start with testing the ricochet value using a heavy machine gun. then, we will use various armor-piercing bullets, cannonballs, individual rocket launchers, and other anti-tank weapons to assess the tank’s defensive armor,” the official explained with a smile.

tang rui couldn’t help but sense a touch of excitement in the official’s demeanor, possibly due to the use of a real tank in these tests.

“understood. can we begin the tests now?” tang rui asked, eager to proceed.

“of course, you may,” the official responded, then proceeded to give the order for the tests using a walkie-talkie.

da da da da…

the heavy machine gun began to fire at the tank to test the ricochet.

why did he have to do such a test?

after all, our infantry and tank coordination was also our specialty back then.

however, this tactic was no longer practical.

however, this test was still retained.

normally, it was impossible to take a complete tank for the defense test.

but the problem was that this was not a normal situation.

other people’s tank research and development had to be designed first, and then the defense components would be taken out and developed separately.

after that, the defense test was to take out the defense components on these tanks and conduct a live ammunition simulation test.

when the time came, he would be able to pass the inspection of these defensive components.

to determine the tank’s defense.

but when it came to tang rui, he didn’t make extra parts, so the test could only bring the tank up.

after a simple heavy machine gun scraping.

only then did the real test begin.

the tank’s defense test was mainly divided into armor protection, body protection, camouflage protection, active protection, after-effect protection, and three defenses.

the first test was about armor protection.

this armor protection was the side reaction armor.

it was the armor that wrapped around the tank’s tracks.

whoosh!

100 meters away, a 125mm fin-stabilized armor-piercing bullet was fired, attacking the tank’s side armor.

boom!

with a loud explosion, the armor-piercing bullet hit the tank’s side armor.

the next moment, the smoke dissipated.

the side of the tank’s armor seemed to have been blackened by the smoke.

however, the tank itself was painted black, so it was not very clear.

the people on the test field quickly ran to the side of the tank and began to take photos.

the photos were sent to the computer screen in the safe house.

yes.

the reaction armor was intact.

other than a small dent on it and some scratches from the metal jet, there were no other problems.

after tang rui saw the photo, he was quite satisfied with this defense.

the reaction armor was not the frontal armor or the turret armor.

if it had been the front turret that had been hit, he reckoned that there wouldn’t even be a dent.

the photo was taken.

the people in the field withdrew and began the second test.

defense against non-barrel chemical armor-piercing bullets.

in human terms, it was to defend against anti-tank rockets.

a soldier appeared on the screen of the safe house.

he was holding an anti-tank rocket launcher in his hand.

tang rui took a glance.

he knew what type of weapon it was.

it was the homemade model of the tf-98 120mm anti-tank rocket launcher.

wasn’t this a little crazy?

the ammunition you used for the test, is it a high-explosive anti-tank rocket (heat)?

don’t give me the entire individual air explosive missile (fae). if that were the case, the outcome would be hard to predict.

it was alright.

it was just a test. it wasn’t that crazy.

whoosh!

an anti-tank rocket was fired.

boom!

the bullet directly hit the front turret armor of the tank.

after the first explosion, the inside of the warhead would explode a second time, spraying out a highly penetrating metal jet.

there were so many types of tanks in the world, but not many types of tank armor could withstand such an attack.

the smoke dispersed.

the front armor of the tank was blackened again, and there were radioactive scratches around it.

however, the front armor was not damaged.

tang rui looked at another screen next to him, which showed the data of the tank’s internal dummy.

the bodies of all the soldiers were green.

it was obvious.

the attack just now did not cause any damage to the tank or the driver inside the tank.

that was good enough.

with such performance, tang rui had thought of many ways. in the case of simple configuration, using composite coating technology, plus composite armor structure, coupled with powerful nanotechnology, the armor was created.

individual weapons and artillery shells with a caliber lower than 200mm were basically unable to pose a threat to the armor of the tank..
