tang rui’s interest was piqued upon hearing what mr. yu said.

“mr. yu, why has huawei suddenly decided to enter the gaming industry?” tang rui was curious.

this style didn’t seem to match huawei.

“mr. tang, have you not been following the developments in the domestic semiconductor industry recently?”

“no, i’ve been focussing on my research. anything significant?”

“well, earlier this year, the ministry of information released a statement saying that they planned to upgrade the semiconductor industry this year. at that time, we didn’t know the details. but just over twenty days ago, the ministry held a conference to showcase the technology related to graphene semiconductors.

“that’s when we understood. after the conference, we took the technology catalog back for research and analysis. we realized that with these breakthrough technologies, we could enter the era of wearable devices. however, promoting wearables isn’t easy, so we thought of venturing into the gaming industry.”

mr. yu briefly explained the situation.

tang rui understood.

it turns out that the source of all this was the graphene material he had developed.

during a conference at the harbin institute of technology, professor yu mentioned that the country had gathered a group of talents in the field of microelectronics and was making significant progress.

these achievements weren’t entirely new research; they could be considered leveraging the exceptional physical properties of graphene, though it wasn’t exactly a technological breakthrough.

still, using the properties of graphene material effectively could lead to remarkable results.

“does this mean that the entire semiconductor industry is undergoing an upgrade? that covers a wide range of fields.”

tang rui realized he was about to become very wealthy.

the raw materials were in his possession.

many patents were also under his control.

this wave of industrial upgrading meant he was going to skyrocket.

“yes, the ministry of information’s plan this time is to make the upgraded semiconductor industry a national pillar industry.”

“it indeed makes sense; this wave will likely lead to a decrease in housing prices.”

“cough… mr. tang, what about the technology development part?”

“no problem; i already have that. i can license it to huawei, but not exclusively.”

tang rui wasn’t naive. exclusive licensing would mean huawei monopolizing the market. mr. yu also understood this; he didn’t even bring up the idea of exclusive licensing because even if tang rui dared to offer it, huawei wouldn’t accept it.

the two of them quickly discussed the terms of their cooperation, and the remaining details would be handled by their respective teams.

after their discussion, mr. yu left without even having lunch. tang rui realized why he had left in such a hurry.

before mr. yu arrived, many companies had been waiting for him. tang rui’s status was unique, and his company, crimson, was not an ordinary one. however, now that atr. yu had visited, the other companies couldn’t afford to be complacent. they needed to take action.

“red lotus, create a website and list all the technologies one by one. include the licensing fees for each technology. then send the link to these companies. they can select the technologies they need and pay online. also, get the administrative department to find a law firm to create a template for technology licensing contracts, so these companies can sign contracts online.” tang rui had seen the messages from the companies and decided to create a unified licensing platform. meeting each company individually would be too time-consuming.

“master, the website has been set up.”

meanwhile, tang rui’s office door was knocked on.

“come in.”

gao yang walked in.

“brother yang, what’s up?”

tang rui was surprised to see gao yang because he knew that gao yang wouldn’t come without a reason.

“mr. tang, a representative from a foreign investment bank is outside and insists on seeing you to discuss financing.”

“investment bank? just turn them away; i don’t want to meet them.”

tang rui was amused. he was on the verge of becoming the richest person, and they wanted to talk about financing. these foreign investment banks apparently lacked basic intelligence.

“alright, i’ll handle it.”

gao yang nodded and left the office.

“by the way, brother yang, when you go out, send me the video from your phone via wechat. 1 want to see what they have to say.”

tang rui thought he might as well see if they had any unique propositions or tactics.

however, he had no intention of meeting them in person. after all, who knew if they might send some kind of super assassin? while the possibility was extremely low, there was no need to take any risks. video calls would suffice.

“okay.”

a few minutes later, gao yang sent a video call request. tang rui asked red lotus to control the camera, and he accepted the call.

“hello, mr. tang. i’m from goldman sachs…”

“don’t bother with all that. just state your purpose. with your information, you should know 1 won’t consider financing. so, what’s your real objective?”

“we are genuinely inviting you to join the united states, mr. tang. you can make any demands you want, and as long as we can fulfill them, we will.”

“is that all?”

tang rui listened and shook his head. it was all just empty talk.

“mr. tang, we are very sincere. even if you want to establish a financial consortium in the united states, there won’t be any issues. we can make available up to 25 congressional seats.”

“the same old tactics, huh?”

tang rui listened and shook his head. it was all just empty talk.

“brother yang, go ahead and end the call.”

“wait, mr. tang, please reconsider. this is the most sincere offer we can make, or else…”

the video call was abruptly terminated by gao yang.

tang rui shook his head in disdain.

it wasn’t worth his time.

he had hoped to hear something novel or a different approach, but this was just the same old nonsense.

what then, try to threaten him? didn’t they realize he was running an extraordinary company? he could dole out sanctions or even obliterate them. these people who couldn’t even get through the door were still boasting.

“red lotus, upload the design diagrams for my smart glasses to the database and add a note for them to help register the patents.”

tang rui couldn’t be bothered with these trivial matters and instructed the supercomputer to take care of it.

wearable devices, especially his smart glasses, were superior.

once the technology patents were registered, he would license them to a few companies for promotion, and he could sit back and collect patent royalties from the comfort of his home.

success was meant to be enjoyed..
