when the special forces finally arrived at the office building, the sight of li molin lying on the ground, having difficulty breathing, came into view.

fortunately, the team was proficient in first aid, and they managed to revive him in a few moments.

otherwise, their rescue mission would have failed.

why would it fail?

the hostage choked on his own vomit.

if this were to be known, it would be outrageous.

the special forces team escorted li molin down from the building to the evacuation point, waiting for the small transport plane to return.

and at that moment, the small transport plane had already started to return. two minutes ago, under red lotus’s control, it struck the enemy’s support forces.

there was no intense battle.

red lotus directly fired four rocket pods from the air and then returned.

the result?

only the support forces were completely wiped out.

the situation at that time was exceptionally harmonious; the enemy’s reinforcements didn’t even have time to react.

the small transport plane landed and the rescue team quickly boarded it.

it was only now that li molin regained his senses. those few minutes were like a nightmare to him.

now that he had woken up, it felt really good to be alive.

“thank you for coming to rescue me. i’m really grateful,” li molin said to the special forces members.

“no need, just stay still. we still have other tasks to complete.”

“all right, i promise not to cause any trouble,” li molin said and then closed his mouth, sitting quietly in his seat.

five minutes later, to li molin’s astonishment, all the special forces team members stood up, and their seats began to rise, revealing the rappelling channel.

swoosh… swoosh… swoosh…

all the special forces team members, holding onto the ropes, rappelled down at lightning speed.

upon reaching the ground, the ropes automatically retracted, and the seats returned to their positions.

inside the cabin, li molin watched all of this in bewilderment.

how many hidden treasures does our country have, after all?

two minutes later, the small transport plane landed on the open ground in front of the warehouse. after the rear hatch opened, the special forces team members, along with a few others, ascended the transport plane and took their seats near li molin.

“hello, were you rescued too?”

“yes, and you?”

“we’re from china railway third division.”

“pleased to meet you.”

li molin nodded. no wonder one of the female employees looked so pretty; it turned out they were from the third division. that was reassuring.

the small transport plane took off again.

three minutes later, it landed once more.

this time, there was no parachute drop, as it was in a remote area where it could land directly without any hassle.

they quickly resolved the situation in two minutes, just as before.

this time, three people were rescued, and they were from china construction.

after completing this rescue, their mission was finished.

following that, the small transport plane refueled at a secret location and then flew back to the country.

the drone followed the small transport plane, acting as a wingman, providing protection.

the combined weaponry of the two aircraft, with over a dozen air-to-air missiles, was sufficient for most scenarios.

there were no incidents along the way.

the radar didn’t even detect the presence of the two aircraft.

when the small transport plane landed at the airport and came to a stop, the special forces team members were the first to disembark and approached tang rui and han shu.

“report, the rescue mission is completed. our objectives were unharmed, and our side suffered no casualties. report complete.”

“rest, tell me…”

slap!

everyone stood at attention.

han shu began to evaluate and summarize their mission; after all, he had been observing the entire operation from the command center.

tang rui paid no attention to this.

he took li shuyao away to li molin.

“bro, are you alright?”

“i’m fine, really. you don’t know, at that time, i was prepared to fight back.”

li molin comforted li shuyao, not forgetting to exaggerate.

“big brother, you’ve been through a lot this time.”

“it’s alright. this was a rare life experience, and believe it or not, after this experience, i have some deep insights,” li molin mused reflectively.

as for what he had realized, tang rui didn’t inquire.

let him savor the moment.

having no ptsd was all that mattered.

as for the other people who were rescued incidentally, after signing a confidentiality agreement, they were escorted away by military personnel.

“brother han, brother lin, don’t leave yet; we haven’t had dinner. let’s eat together.”

“nah, i’m not eating; i still have a report to complete,” han shu shook his head. he wanted to eat, but he didn’t have the time.

as for lin chao, he didn’t have to write a report. he just needed to watch over tang rui, so he happily went to have dinner.

that evening, after dinner and some chatting, tang rui had gao yang drive to take his elder brother back home.

he didn’t engage in any other activities; after taking a shower, he hugged li shuyao and fell into a deep, sound sleep.

on the other hand, things started heating up in the online world.

it wasn’t due to the congo operation, but the internet.

while the special forces team was conducting the rescue operation outside the city, rescuing the employees of the china railway third bureau trapped in the warehouse, someone had coincidentally fast-roped from the small transport plane, entered the warehouse to rescue people, then evacuated.

this person used a professional camera to capture the scene, and even did some editing.

the result was that netizens began inquiring if it was a trailer for an upcoming movie.

the war scenes looked incredibly realistic

of note were the soldiers, who were wearing some sort of exoskeleton armor that looked extremely cool.

the video blogger explained in his account that this was real footage.

unsurprisingly, nobody believed it.

netizens took the video as a movie trailer, but the special departments of various countries couldn’t think the same way.

after receiving the local intelligence reports and viewing the video, they were all taken aback and even questioned the accuracy of the intelligence.

in simple terms, the congolese report stated:

a special tactical team led by the chinese, using a state-of-the-art vertical takeoff and landing transport aircraft, crossed half of congo in twenty minutes, eliminating 427 enemy combatants at three different locations and rescuing nine people.

after the intelligence department received the report, they thought about making a phone call to ask, “what the heck were you smoking?”

was this footage part of a movie?

even hollywood scriptwriters wouldn’t dare to write such a plot; they’d be afraid of being ridiculed.

and the outcome…

as more and more reports were compiled and reached the desks of the leaders of various countries, phone calls and video conferences became more frequent..
