tang rui thought about it and finally decided to make electromagnetic weapons.

forget about lasers.

after making his decision, he asked red lotus to design a gun model according to the requirements of the special forces soldiers and manufacture it.

before dinner, he had already made a few.

they were assault rifles, sniper rifles, and ultra-long-range anti-material sniper rifles.

tang rui took the assault rifle and came to an empty warehouse, letting red lotus control the robot, lifting a steel plate as a target.

he raised his gun and immediately, the auxiliary aiming system was activated.

on the screen of the smart glasses in front of tang rui, a crosshair appeared.

whoosh!

he pulled the trigger and a bullet was fired.

clang!

this was followed by a crisp echo.

red lotus projected a steel plate at the side.

the piece of metal had been completely penetrated.

there was definitely nothing wrong with its power.

there was no problem with the trajectory calculation.

the only issue was the weight; the rifle weighed 5.6 kilograms. most rifles in various countries weighed between 2 to 4 kilograms, with few exceeding 4 kilograms, let alone reaching 5 kilograms.

even a fully equipped rifle would not be this heavy.

but this was already the result of tang rui trying his best to reduce the weight of the materials, mainly because the battery was too heavy.

both the handguard beneath the barrel and the upper rail were battery packs, and these two battery packs were modular. when the battery was depleted, it could be removed and replaced directly. just the two battery packs and a fully loaded magazine exceeded 3.5 kilograms. no matter how he lightened the weight elsewhere, it couldn’t be reduced much.

that was all for now.

for now, this would have to do.

they would let the special forces test it tomorrow, and if it didn’t work out, they would make changes.

tang rui tossed the rifle to the robot and returned to the villa to finish his dinner.

after dinner, he lay on the sofa, playing with his phone and reading the news. both domestic and international news were present.

with red lotus’ existence, no online information could be kept a secret for him, as long as he wanted to know.

eh?

he saw a piece of news and found it interesting.

[the saudi’s proposal to lift the un sanctions and blockade against yemen, and to remove the report designating the yemenese government as a terrorist organization, has been vetoed domestically.]

upon reading this news, tang rui had only one thought: “the middle east’s purchases haven’t been in vain.”

at a critical moment, they also took action.

after all, the consortium of wealthy countries had spent over 20 billion us dollars on equipment.

“red lotus, investigate why saudi is in such a hurry to stand up for yemen.”

tang rui was a little curious. under normal circumstances, saudis wouldn’t be so anxious. even if something happened, they would let the u.s. stand up for him. they rarely made a move themselves, wishing that the whole world would forget about them.

there must be something wrong with their urgent application to the united nations.

“master, red lotus has found some news. the middle east is forming an alliance army and preparing to attack yemen again.”

no wonder.

so this was the problem.

if this wave of middle easterners really took down the yemeni, then there was no need to say who they would form an alliance army to deal with next.

“red lotus, let me know when the middle east makes its move.”

ii

don’t worry, master. red lotus will remember.”

after tang rui finished speaking, he continued to watch the news.

hmm?

was there going to be another war in the caucasus?

that shouldn’t be the case.

wasn’t the united nations ‘peace-keeping force there?

if there was a fight in that place, europe would be lively.

russia was not done yet.

the middle east had broken into another uprising.

if a war broke out in the caucasus, the few remaining hairs on the americans* heads would probably be plucked out.

“stop playing with your phone. it’s time to go to the gym.”

li shuyao came to tang rui’s side and pulled him up from the sofa.

tang rui looked up and found that li shuyao had already changed her clothes. however, from his angle, her face was blocked.

“okay, let’s go.”

tang rui immediately jumped up from the sofa and went into the house to change his clothes.

two hours later, the two of them came out of the gym with sweat all over their heads. after a simple shower, they went to bed.

“collect your equipment by name, and then get dressed in an orderly manner,” tang rui distributed the exoskeletons and weapons that red lotus had manufactured to each member of the special forces.

only via a full-dress rehearsal could they test the overall performance and see if any improvements were needed.

a few minutes later, all 24 soldiers of the special forces were dressed and stood in formation.

there wasn’t much to be said. they looked like they were more than ready to battle aliens.

as a connoisseur of aesthetics, the equipment tang rui had created was highly appealing to the masses.

the 24 soldiers in front of him looked like they had come from the future, and the overall visual effect was absolutely stunning.

“next, you will undergo daily training, use the various capabilities of this equipment, and personally experience the results,” tang rui said before handing over the stage to han shu.

after a brief introduction from han shu, the two special forces teams split up and started simulating urban warfare and jungle warfare.

after a day of training, the two teams tested the performance of the entire set of equipment under various circumstances. the feedback was excellent, and everyone was very pleased.

the battlefield visibility sharing, real-time battlefield map, and other functions were like cheating.

they also experienced what it was like to be attacked by flashbangs, concussive grenades, and tear gas.

the result could be summed up in one word: awesome.

under the protection of the exoskeleton, these three types of weapons couldn’t harm them in the slightest. the optical system automatically blocked flashbangs, the exoskeleton armor protected them from concussive grenades, and tear gas was no longer a concern when wearing the exoskeleton armor.

of course, there was a problem.

their shooting habits were the only issue. they were used to aiming with firearms and scopes, but now they had to rely on their sight for aiming. although it was more convenient, they were having trouble adjusting.

however, this was not a significant issue. after a couple of days, they would get used to it, adjust their shooting actions, and become more accurate.

a week and a half passed.

after three rounds of modifications, the special forces’ equipment was now finalized.

tang rui and han shu were currently discussing how to allocate the personnel of the five regiments. however, they hadn’t reached a conclusion due to differing opinions.

the only consensus they had reached was the necessity of a mechanized infantry regiment.

in modern warfare, the army couldn’t do without a mechanized infantry force.

regardless of how powerful your air force and navy were, territorial control still ultimately fell to the army.

therefore, one of the five regiments’ personnel had to form a mechanized infantry regiment.

the two of them, along with several staff members, were discussing the equipment for this mechanized infantry regiment to maximize their combat capabilities.

while they were still in discussion, han shu’s phone rang.

“what’s going on? is there an emergency?” han shu asked when he picked up the call.

“nothing else, i just wanted to ask how things are going on your end,” the person on the other end of the line asked.

“report, everything is going as planned. tang general has already improved the equipment for the special forces, and the feedback from the soldiers is very positive.”

“good. what new equipment are we talking about?”

“the exoskeleton armor and the new electromagnetic rifles.”

“1 see. how much did that cost?”

n

it cost…” han shu couldn’t provide an answer. he didn’t know the exact cost, so he covered the phone and asked tang rui.

tang rui was also at a loss. he didn’t know the exact cost, but that wasn’t a problem. red lotus had all the financial records.

“red lotus, how much did it cost to make the equipment for the blue army so far?”

“master, a total of 675 million, and i won’t bother with the decimals.”

tang rui nodded after hearing the answer. “675 million.”

after hearing the amount, the person on the other end of the line was also taken aback. “a single exoskeleton armor costs 6.75 million each?”

“that’s right, and i haven’t made any profit from it,” tang rui stated, knowing the cost price because red lotus had reported it to him.

h

so, where did the rest of the money go?”

“1 also made a special stealth transport plane for the special forces.”

tang rui thought for a moment and then remembered the small transport plane he had produced earlier. aircraft production was quite expensive, especially for high-performance transport planes like the one he had made.

“sir, president tang said he also produced a small transport plane specifically for the special forces.”

upon hearing that tang rui had invested in a transport plane, it all made sense. the price of a single aircraft was astronomical, much higher than the expenditure on the special forces’ equipment.

after the call ended, han shu turned to tang rui. “president tang, you made a transport plane for the special forces. why didn’t you mention it earlier?”

“i forgot about it,” tang rui admitted. he had indeed inquired about the production of the small transport plane from red lotus, which had reported that it had been completed the night before, but he had been focused on other matters at the time.

the next day, when red lotus reported it, he was contemplating something else and hadn’t paid much attention.

“can we go see the transport plane?”

“sure, i’ll take you.”

tang rui got up and headed for the hangar with han shu.

however, on their way to the hangar, tang rui’s phone rang. it was li shuyao calling.

what could be so urgent?

li shuyao rarely called him, and she wouldn’t disturb him unless it was a matter of urgency.

“what’s going on? has something happened?” tang rui asked when he answered the call.

“my brother’s mine seems to have been attacked by a local tribe. 1 just called, but no one answered my brother’s phone,” li shuyao said anxiously..
