Devouring Evolution: Devouring Nuclear Bombs at the Start

44: Chapter 44 Is Lin Sheng Dead?”Wuhu!”

Lin Sheng let out a comfortable roar of ambiguous meaning.

After flying for a while, he adapted to this mode of flight.

The scenery beneath Lin Sheng’s feet was changing rapidly.

Because the speed was so fast, after flying for just a short while, he had already left the desert.

Beside the desert was a vast wasteland.

Looking down from high altitude, Lin Sheng discovered that the wasteland was densely covered with crawling ”small black dots.”

These ”small black dots” were of various shapes; some were long and slender, some were oval, and there were even square ones.

Aside from these small black dots, the wasteland was almost completely silent and dead.

There were no animals, no plants, and not even a single pool of water.

A chill couldn’t help but rise from the bottom of Lin Sheng’s heart.

He had already discovered what those dense ”small black dots” on the Ground were.

They were all insects!

Lin Sheng’s movements in the air were not small. After the insects on the Ground discovered Lin Sheng in the Sky, they one after another raised the appendages of their front bodies and roared silently at Lin Sheng in the air.

Seeing this, Lin Sheng tried out his new talent, ”Weak Control over Electrical Energy.”

Flapping his wings, six bolts of lightning thicker than ordinary small buildings flew out from beneath them, smashing toward the insects on the Ground at half the speed of light.

”Boom!” * 6

Six explosive sounds rang out almost simultaneously.

The Ground struck by the lightning turned scorched black, and the insects that were hit had their severed limbs flying everywhere; some were even blasted into ash the moment they touched the lightning.

”Hiss, hiss!”

”Da da da!”

Lin Sheng’s move was like poking a hornet’s nest; a chorus of roars suddenly rose and fell from all around.

Although these roars sounded faint individually, when the entire Zerg Swarm roared together, the sound was enough to pierce the clouds.

Hearing this roar, Lin Sheng struck several more bolts of lightning downward.

”Rumble!”

The lightning was very fast, having reached half the speed of light; the Zerg Swarm had no way to react at all.

But once Lin Sheng stopped his attack, the Zerg Swarm moved quickly.

As if they suddenly had a commander, they abandoned their previous chaos and began to organize their defenses in an orderly fashion.

The square insects with the hardest shells formed a massive plane several layers thick, which could perfectly cover the insects with weaker defenses.

Lin Sheng watched the scene below from high in the Sky.

Holding the aerial advantage, he didn’t care about the insects’ behavior, merely watching with interest to see what they intended to do.

But as he watched, Lin Sheng started to feel a bit uneasy.

He discovered that the insects below were rapidly approaching him.

Every insect in this wasteland seemed to have heard a call, surging toward the area beneath Lin Sheng in a dark mass.

Countless insects piled on top of each other, with the square insects at the top, building toward Lin Sheng in the air.

Lin Sheng noticed that, at some point, some winged insects had appeared in the field.

Among these insects were Dragonflies he recognized, but more were insects Lin Sheng couldn’t even name.

They were as if controlled by some will, flying in unison toward Lin Sheng’s direction.

Now Lin Sheng was completely unable to sit still.

With so many insects, if he were entangled, even if each insect only took one bite, Lin Sheng wouldn’t be able to protect his body.

Lin Sheng struck downward again with lightning worth 100,000 evolution points, then used his tail to fire a Nuclear Energy Ray worth 100,000 evolution points forward.

The thick ray forcefully tore an opening in the Sky filled with the Zerg Swarm.

Taking advantage of the opening before it could be filled by insects, Lin Sheng pushed the ”Nuclear Thruster” to the absolute limit his body could withstand.

Thunderous light flared intensely around him; the flying insects trying to approach him had their wings scorched the moment they touched the light, unable to withstand the electrical damage.

Lin Sheng didn’t dare stop for a moment; the ”Nuclear Thruster” was being used to the maximum limit his body could endure.

The burning sensation from the tip of his tail constantly reminded Lin Sheng, making him not dare to stop for even a second.

Lin Sheng’s speed became faster and faster.

At some point, Lin Sheng had passed through the clouds; during this process, he felt the surrounding air becoming thinner and thinner.

It wasn’t until Lin Sheng noticed something strange about his body that he suddenly snapped back to his senses.

He lowered his head, and the outline of a deep blue planet appeared in his eyes.

Lin Sheng’s first reaction wasn’t shock at having flown out of Earth; his first instinct was actually to look back and see if the insects were still chasing him.

Seeing no sign of the insects behind him, Lin Sheng breathed a sigh of relief and stopped the ”Nuclear Thruster.”

However, something unexpected happened to Lin Sheng.

Even though he had stopped the nuclear projection from the tip of his tail, his body was still flying at an extremely high speed.

This couldn’t help but startle Lin Sheng.

In the next second, ”Omniscience” brought the information he wanted to know into his mind.

”I was flying too fast just now and have already reached the First Cosmic Velocity.”

”Now I am moving in a circular orbit around the Earth.”

When the term ”First Cosmic Velocity” arose in Lin Sheng’s heart, he already understood.

At this moment, he looked at the deep blue planet beneath his feet, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

The thin atmosphere in the satellite orbit made Lin Sheng’s breathing very difficult.

His current body had not yet reached the level of the ”Balance Grade.” Although he could stay in space through ”Immortal Consciousness,” the lingering sense of suffocation made Lin Sheng unwilling to stay there for even a moment.

”...”

Just as Lin Sheng intended to stop himself, he suddenly felt his body grow heavy.

Lin Sheng’s intrusion broke the balance in orbit, and a small Meteorite about 500 meters wide suddenly crashed into his body.

It was a Meteorite captured by Earth that had been flying steadily in Earth’s orbit for hundreds of years, but today, Lin Sheng’s arrival shattered its stability.

The moment he collided with the Meteorite, Lin Sheng first felt his body sink, followed by a sensation of his body falling apart.

Afterward, Lin Sheng saw the Meteorite that had hit him, and he also saw his body embedded within it.

”I ***!”

This collision directly knocked Lin Sheng’s consciousness out.

If Lin Sheng didn’t have the talent ”Immortal Consciousness,” he would have died an unnatural death this time.

Watching the Meteorite and the small fragments around it falling rapidly due to the impact, Lin Sheng’s consciousness hurriedly chased after them.

After all, his body was still embedded in the largest fragment of the Meteorite.

In the process of chasing his body, Lin Sheng suddenly discovered that even though his body was falling so fast, his consciousness could actually keep up with it.
