43: Chapter 43 Nuclear PropulsionLin Sheng decided to let this Biological Energy Factory go for now.

After he had enough strength, he would see whether or not to come and devour this factory.

However, although he didn’t want the factory, Lin Sheng still needed the nuclear energy it produced.

That Giant Scorpion from before was able to grow so large likely because it absorbed the underground nuclear raw materials.

Lin Sheng naturally didn’t want to miss out on this endless supply of evolution points.

”Would it be dangerous if my main body came here?”

Lin Sheng muttered to himself.

He was still very concerned about the information Omniscience had given him earlier: ”The factory will attack creatures that approach it.”

[Except for ???, creatures that steal the Biological Energy Factory’s bodily fluids will be regarded as hostile creatures by the factory]

Lin Sheng felt fortunate for his own caution.

If he hadn’t asked and had just charged over blindly, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Since he couldn’t make a move on the nuclear raw materials, Lin Sheng thought for a moment and decided to leave the Small Scorpions here alone as well.

He wanted to turn this place into his ranch.

Since it was known that the Giant Scorpion grew so large because of the nuclear energy here, then these Small Scorpions could surely grow as large as the Giant Scorpion too.

As long as Lin Sheng harvested those Small Scorpions after they grew to a certain size, he would have a stable ranch for evolution points.

This was a great idea, and Lin Sheng already planned to do so.

Controlling the Sand Worm, he slowly left the Biological Energy Factory’s body, intending to return to the Ground.

But while passing through that area of nuclear raw materials, Lin Sheng suddenly realized a problem.

It seemed his Sand Worm body couldn’t get out.

This was hundreds of thousands of meters underground, and the surrounding rock walls were incredibly hard, definitely not something this Sand Worm could break through.

At such a depth, unless the Sand Worm grew wings, he wouldn’t be able to get out at all.

Lin Sheng turned back the way he came and returned to the underground space where the factory was located.

He approached the factory once again.

He parked the Sand Worm’s body next to the factory and then withdrew his attention from it.

...

Lin Sheng’s consciousness returned to his main body.

He had only been wandering underground for less than a day, and his main body’s Evolution had just begun. After his consciousness returned, Lin Sheng chose to fall into a deep sleep.

Time passed quietly while Lin Sheng slept.

Lin Sheng’s body underwent rapid changes during these days.

From head to tail, from claws to wings, everything without exception was remodeled.

47 days passed quickly, and Lin Sheng slowly climbed up from the Ground.

The first thing he did was project his consciousness out of his body to observe his post-Evolution form.

Lin Sheng’s Evolution this time was truly earth-shaking.

His original three pairs of transparent wings with a glass-like texture still retained that texture after this Evolution, but they were now filled with black-purple blood vessels.

These blood vessels were like living things, wriggling from time to time, appearing incredibly eerie.

Lin Sheng’s scales had completely opened after this Evolution, and the tentacles emerging from beneath them made it impossible for the scales to close again.

In this Evolution, the biggest change was Lin Sheng’s tail.

Four bone spurs had grown at the end of the tail, centered around the tip, with all four tips pointing toward the very end of the tail.

Lin Sheng felt this arrangement of bone spurs was somewhat familiar, but he didn’t think much of it, so Omniscience didn’t provide any prompts.

After observing his body, Lin Sheng had the system open the system panel.

Combined with the system panel, he could gain a more comprehensive understanding of the changes after his Evolution.

[Host: Lin Sheng

evolution points: 13,524,614

Talent: Immortal Consciousness (Truth Level)

Omniscience (Pseudo) (Truth Level)

Devour (Concept Level)

Evolution (Concept Level)

Immaculate Body (40%) (Balance Grade)

Stellar Energy (Natural Grade)

Flesh Parasitism (Natural/Truth?)

Semiconductor (Natural Grade)

Strong Acid Breath (Natural Grade)

Regeneration Cells (Natural Grade)

Nuclear Thruster (Natural Grade): Your tail can fire Nuclear Energy Ray, which can assist in flight.

The use of the Nuclear Thruster consumes energy within the Host’s body; when energy is insufficient, evolution points can be used instead.

Mark Tracking (Natural Grade): 400,000 kilometers

Biochemical Pollution (Natural Grade): You can release highly toxic gas with polluting capabilities.

Releasing toxic gas consumes energy within the Host’s body; when energy is insufficient, evolution points can be used instead.

Weak Control over Electrical Energy (Natural Grade): You can control lightning.

Releasing lightning consumes energy within the Host’s body; when energy is insufficient, evolution points can be used instead.

Acidic Exoskeleton (Low Grade)

Evaluation: You already possess the capability for short-duration space travel, but because you still need to breathe, you cannot manage long-duration space travel.]

”Wait, system, did you make a mistake?”

Seeing the new talent he had evolved, Lin Sheng couldn’t help but question the system.

”The Giant Scorpion was using Nuclear Energy Ray before; that’s a combat talent.”

”How come as soon as it gets to me, this Nuclear Energy Ray becomes an auxiliary talent?”

”Even if it’s auxiliary, you could at least have it in a different place, right?”

”What do you mean by putting it at the tip of my tail?”

[Ding]

After Lin Sheng rambled on for a while, the system finally replied:

[If the Host is unwilling, this system can help the Host relocate the thruster to the Host’s rear end]

As if worried Lin Sheng wouldn’t agree, the system thoughtfully added:

[Please rest assured, Host, this system will cover the evolution points for you]

Lin Sheng: ...

”It’s nothing, system grandfather, I was just a bit excited, just a bit excited.”

Lin Sheng waved his hands repeatedly.

He had come to his senses now.

Putting it at the tip of the tail was actually quite good; it could be used as a thruster and also as a weapon by simply changing the tail’s direction.

But if it were placed at his rear end...

Lin Sheng imagined:

While flying in the sky, his rear end would be spraying ”crap.”

”Hiss~”

Lin Sheng sucked in a breath of cold air, not daring to think any further.

He felt that the reason his tail grew longer and thinner this time was likely so that the Nuclear Thruster could be used as a weapon.

Lin Sheng gave it a try and found it was indeed the case.

The flexibility of his tail had improved significantly compared to before the Evolution.

He aimed his tail forward, and then...

”Zzt!”

A Nuclear Energy Ray countless times thicker than Lin Sheng’s tail shot out from its tip. The ray hit the Ground, and the surface sand melted rapidly.

Seeing the damage from the Nuclear Energy Ray, Lin Sheng nodded inwardly with satisfaction.

Then, he flapped his wings and flew into the air, wanting to test his flight capability.

His tail exerted force again, and before Lin Sheng could react, a strong sensation of being pushed from behind surged through him, and his body charged forward as if out of control.
