God's Imitator

He Xiaojun subconsciously clenched his fists. Although this instant death punishment had nothing to do with him, in such an atmosphere, he still felt extremely suffocated and oppressed.

He saw ’↑The Lovers’ and ’↓The Hanged Man’ fall down, and besides them, there were another 4 players.

He Xiaojun had once faced off against ’↑The Lovers.’ Although the olive branch the other party extended to him carried malice and deception, seeing ’↑The Lovers’’ death at this moment, He Xiaojun still felt an inexplicable sense of desolation.

Players’ fates in the Gallery were impermanent.

Even the strong might exit earlier than the weak due to a fatal oversight.

The other players didn’t show any reaction. They had long since grown accustomed to such scenes: game results announced, someone or some people falling to the ground without a sound.

Perhaps in the next game, the one lying on the ground would be oneself, but so what?

[One player from Community 15 in the game will suffer instant death punishment. Please complete voting through ’verbal confirmation.’]

He Xiaojun heard some players seem to say something, but because their voices weren’t loud, by the time they reached He Xiaojun’s ears, they had become indistinct noise.

But this noise was like an incantation, permeating through this room full of mystical colors.”Wang Weidong.”

These three words ultimately prevailed over other possibilities.

He Xiaojun saw ’↑The Devil’ already leaning against his own door, prepared to meet his fate.

At the final moment, Wang Weidong instead appeared somewhat calm.

”Everyone, I’ll go ahead.

”I hope you can come find me a bit later.”

Then, his head silently tilted to one side.

No one used a Death Exemption Ticket to avoid death.

Community 4 hadn’t activated a Death Exemption Ticket, and Community 15’s Death Exemption Ticket hadn’t recovered yet.

Time-wise, the last time Community 17 used a Death Exemption Ticket was in ’Shelter Game,’ and after that, Community 15 unlocked their Death Exemption Ticket and used it in a judgment-type game.

Before the ’Tarot Game’ began, Community 17 had just obtained their next Death Exemption Ticket by reducing the cooldown time.

And if they were later than Community 17, they definitely wouldn’t have a Death Exemption Ticket available in this game.

If Wang Weidong had completely controlled the right to use the Death Exemption Ticket and forcibly preserved the ticket when it was last used, perhaps his outcome in this game would have been different.

But there were no ifs.

The game rules’ punishment of Core Communities had ended, but this didn’t mean no other players would die.

Because whether Peripheral Communities would all suffer instant death still depended on how players left from the Exit Areas.

[Exit Areas are now open.]

[Please freely choose your Exit Area.]

[After 10 minutes, players will be arranged to exit in four batches according to ’total wealth value in Exit Areas from high to low,’ with 5-minute intervals between each exit.]

After the broadcast on the large screen ended, the players immediately took action, walking quickly toward the Exit Areas to take their positions.

However, they quickly realized there was no need to rush.

Because the Exit Areas designated in the game were very large. Even if all players crowded into one Exit Area, it would be sufficient to accommodate them.

Which specific area players exited from didn’t depend on the speed of their actions.

Soon, some players voluntarily changed Exit Areas.

Area A had the fewest players remaining, while Area D gathered the most players.

He Xiaojun scanned the masks of the players remaining in Area A.

’↑Wheel of Fortune,’ ’↓The Hermit,’ ’↑The Fool,’ ’↑The Star,’ ’↑The Empress,’ ’↑The Emperor,’ ’↓The Emperor.’

These several had gathered in Area A relatively early, a total of 7 players.

Although most players couldn’t match these masks to specific names, just from these masks’ performance in the game, one would still feel a powerful sense of oppression.

Without doubt, this must be Community 17, the strongest in this game.

Each Core Community had 6 players participating, yet 7 players decisively stood in this area, and the others showed no obvious rejection.

This meant that one player had already been accepted by this community during the game.

In subsequent player movements, many players originally standing in Area A voluntarily withdrew and chose other Exit Areas.

However, there were also three players who carefully remained at the outer edge positions of Area A.

This also reflected two different attitudes among some Peripheral Community players.

Those players who withdrew didn’t want to embarrass themselves.

Because Community 17 was full of strong players, as long as they wanted to bring all members back, they would definitely make corresponding arrangements. So even the players with relatively fewer Wealth Vouchers among these 7 should still be slightly higher than average players.

Of course, in cases like He Xiaojun’s, with an absolute advantage in Wealth Vouchers, one could also choose to forcibly squeeze in.

But the problem was, squeezing out Community 17’s original players was itself a malicious act. If after entering the community one was disliked or rejected by all of Community 17, just thinking about it was terrifying.

Although the strong players of Community 17 had shown goodwill in some games, that didn’t mean they would tolerate everything.

So many players retreated in the face of difficulty.

But there were also some players who, for various reasons, still tried to stay, wanting to try their luck.

After all, being successfully accepted by Community 17 was equivalent to winning the lottery. Players with even a bit of a gambling nature found it hard to refuse such temptation.

In Area B, there were ’↑The Magician’ and ’↓The Star,’ though the gathered players were obviously more numerous than in Area A.

The leading players in Area C were ’↑The High Priestess’ and ’↓Wheel of Fortune.’ Here the gathered players were slightly more than in Area B.

This was obviously Community 15. Because of ’↑The Devil’s’ death, many players would subconsciously believe that Community 15 would have more vacant positions and more players who could exit.

According to the game rules, the number of players who could exit from each area was different.

Suppose Community A stood in Area A, and Community A now had a total of 10 players. Then Area A could allow 8 players to exit. This included the 6 participating players and the community’s original 2 vacancies.

And suppose Community B stood in Area B, and the community now had only 6 players total with all participating in the game, then Area B could allow 12 players to exit.

Those Peripheral Community players would also roughly estimate which area had the higher probability of exit based on this rule.

It was precisely because of this reason that Area D gathered the most players, with at least half of the remaining players standing in it.

Because Community 4, originally a Core Community, suffered instant death for all members, meaning at least 6 vacant positions appeared in the community.

The probability of exiting through this area was much higher than other areas.
