God's Imitator

Shen Xing seriously considered for a moment and felt this condition was acceptable.

At this stage of the game, since players within communities had gradually recognized each other and formulated countermeasures from the community’s standpoint, then players between different communities had definitely also started discussing cooperation.

It was just that each community gave different prices.

Shen Xing temporarily hadn’t yet encountered other players seeking cross-community cooperation, so she wasn’t certain about other communities’ specific cooperation plans, but just judging from the content, ’↓Wheel of Fortune’s’ plan was relatively fair.

For Shen Xing and players from Community 5, the primary prerequisite for discussing cooperation was ensuring the interests of their own community, and Wealth Vouchers were the direct manifestation of interests.

So as long as the other party mentioned requirements for transferring Wealth Vouchers, they would basically be directly identified as a scammer and there would be no cooperation.

Moreover, they also had to consider the capability of the cooperation partner. After all, there were 4 Core Communities and 4 Peripheral Communities. Players from Peripheral Communities also weren’t without choices.

The condition ’↓Wheel of Fortune’ proposed was just sharing information, which was an acceptable plan.

Of course, no one would foolishly share all sensitive information. There would definitely be some reservations.

But at least in terms of rules, both parties were equal. How much information one could obtain from the other party would depend on their own abilities.

Shen Xing nodded. ”Alright, I personally agree with this plan, but I can’t make guarantees on behalf of other people in the community. I may need to discuss with them subsequently.

”However, we can at least exchange community numbers first, right?”

’↓Wheel of Fortune’ nodded, then pointed at wooden box number 15, ’The Devil.’

This meant the other party was a player from Community 15—if he wasn’t lying.

Shen Xing thought about it and still chose to point at wooden box number 5.

Reporting a false community number didn’t seem to have much benefit at present, and once exposed it would have a counterproductive effect, so Shen Xing still chose honesty with an attitude of cooperation.

’↓Wheel of Fortune’ nodded. ”After entering the free matching phase, I’ll choose an appropriate time to invite you. I wish us a pleasant cooperation.”

...

The long 5 hours passed, and the first phase of the game had ended.

In his own lounge, He Xiaojun bought some simple food and water, quickly eating and drinking to replenish his energy.

Although the game time up to now wasn’t very long, under constant thinking and emotional fluctuations, energy consumption was very large, making one obviously feel hungry and dizzy.

However, He Xiaojun only dared to have a simple snack to prevent digestion of food from causing insufficient brain energy supply.

Upon entering the second phase, the screens beside the three doors also underwent some changes.

On the display screens beside the ’Sage’s Door’ and ’Thief’s Door,’ players could see the 22 tarot cards of each of the Upright and Reversed camps. Their own card was in a grayed-out state.

They could actively click on a certain tarot card to send a game invitation to the corresponding player.

Sending an invitation at the ’Sage’s Door’ defaulted to starting a match in the Sage identity. At the ’Thief’s Door,’ it defaulted to starting a match in the Thief identity.

Similarly, other players could also send invitations to He Xiaojun, but invitations sent with the ’Sage’ identity would only display on the screen beside the ’Thief’s Door,’ and vice versa.

Likewise, one could also choose ’Match Game’ on the screen.

But matched games didn’t necessarily encounter suitable players.

If a player didn’t have a match, they could freely choose to enter the ’Spectator Room’ to observe, or could choose to stay in their own lounge.

At this stage of the game, the vast majority of players should have already realized that every match was extremely important, and there absolutely couldn’t be a situation of ’not playing games.’

Because the number of game rounds was the same, not participating in matches meant no Wealth Voucher returns at all.

He Xiaojun had already confirmed that ’↑The Moon’ was Huang Ming from the same community, so according to their previous agreement, he immediately sent a game invitation to Huang Ming with the ’Thief’ identity, and the other party quickly agreed.

If there were no special circumstances, the two would try to keep matching as much as possible.

As long as Huang Ming carried the maximum Wealth Vouchers each time and deliberately lost them all to He Xiaojun, it could ensure that during the subsequent game process, He Xiaojun obtained sufficiently high returns.

But this would also bring two problems:

First, this kind of matching would cause both of them to be locked down, unable to match with other players anymore, and unable to seek out other players from the same community to discuss strategies and pass information.

Second, Huang Ming himself would almost be unable to obtain any returns in this game.

Therefore, after He Xiaojun and Huang Ming discussed it, they believed they should at least try to find one more player from the same community. This way, two people could take turns transferring Wealth Vouchers to He Xiaojun, and when the other player was free, they could match with other players, pass information, or execute other strategies.

The Thief’s Door opened. This meant Huang Ming had completed his setup as Sage. He Xiaojun hurriedly entered the room.

...

At the same time, in another room.

’↑The Lovers’ also began a match with ’↓The Emperor.’

”How have you considered my proposal?

”I can guarantee you that after coming to our community, you can obtain extremely high say.

”Even if you perform well enough, I can give up the core position in the community.

”Think about it. This is almost impossible in your community.”

In the eyes of many spectators, both of these players were players with relatively strong presence.

’↑The Lovers’ had previously extended olive branches to many players including He Xiaojun, but also hadn’t fallen behind in game match returns.

Except for the unexpected situation in that match with He Xiaojun, the returns from other matches were all quite good.

And ’↓The Emperor’ performed equally excellently. He proposed a new set of rules, and currently players seemed to still not have figured out the optimal solution.

Worth noting was that both the Upright and Reversed ’Emperor’ players performed excellently, but the feeling they gave people was somewhat different.

’↑The Emperor’ hadn’t proposed any new rules. His strategy looked very simple, but he always won.

While ’↓The Emperor’ appeared more aggressive. Whether formulating rules or in the attitude displayed in games, he showed a kind of pressing confidence.

Many players were looking forward to the Upright and Reversed ’Emperor’ players being matched together, but such a match hadn’t appeared.

After all, in the first half of the game, the number of matches was limited, so there was inherently a relatively large luck component.

For players like He Xiaojun, at this time they might still be struggling to explore and would find it difficult to determine the specific identities of these players.

But for some well-informed players, they had already locked onto the identities of some key figures very early on.
