My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 3080 -1026: Anglers Are Simple Folk, Right, Prince His Highness? [6/10]

“The elves’ battleship is here, damn! Why aren’t they using naval guns?”

On the edge of the combat sea area, aboard the low-flying command airship, Wheel-operator Five pairs gazed through the periscope at the sea battle below. He quickly saw the Armastasha Fleet entering the battleground under the mermaids’ guidance, executing bombing divisions, but the weapons used by these elves puzzled the veteran Five pairs.

On those rather peculiar integrated wooden warships, the elven sailors manipulated some fixed deck weapons that resembled naval guns but were made entirely of wood. Five pairs adjusted the resolution of the periscope and could see those elves stuffing strange seeds into the weapons.

This series of operations left the veteran from another world completely baffled, unable to understand the elves’ tricks.

Until he saw firsthand the elves’ battleships firing.

With the armored elf commander brandishing the command sword downwards, the weapons on both sides of the warship fired simultaneously.

Without any gunpowder to accelerate, the natural energy from the wooden hull was enough to propel seeds from the “gun barrels” toward the sea surface. The kinetic energy seemed decent, but there was no explosion upon reaching the water.

Five pairs watched the seeds sink into the sea, unsure of the elves’ intentions at first, but soon noticed underwater commotion.

The fishmen scattered across the sea acted erratically, grouping and dispersing away from the “seed guns” dropped into the water, while those large seeds sprouted upon contact with water, resembling wooden octopuses frantically hunting.

The veteran from another world saw very clearly that one of the seeds nearby swayed in the water like a vampire vine with barbed roots, pierced each approaching fishman, and sucked their body fluids. In just a few minutes, the seed guns had transformed into something resembling sea urchins covered in spikes.

Seeds launched by the elves quickly formed these “wooden mines” floating on the sea surface, killing and absorbing any fishmen who dared to approach as nourishment.

As the elves’ battleships sailed past, the blood-fed seed guns wilted rapidly upon contact with the hull, providing stored energy back to the sea elves’ warships, allowing them to continuously forward fire these bizarre and malicious devices.

“Whoa! Biological weapons? No, plant weapons! Today truly opened my eyes.”

Watching the Armastasha Fleet smoothly execute the encirclement tactic to divide the Daguan fishmen, Five pairs exclaimed:

“These elves really have a way with playing with seeds.”

“But they’re just getting started.”

The half-body first mate providing operational assistance aboard the airship shook his head and said:

“The Armastasha Fleet hasn’t yet deployed their most famous and terrifying weapon of war. They have a special seed that, once launched, can rapidly grow into war treants at the landing point.

These things are very powerful and extremely fierce. I heard they are the vanguard of the Mother of Forest’s wrath. If pirate ships get hit by such seeds, they will be ravaged by war treants, and even the ships themselves become nourishment for the tree of war.

The elves have many other special seed munitions, but they typically do not use them in ordinary intensity battles.

From what I’ve seen, they have another type for capturing enemies, a spore shell that releases thousands of sleep spores upon hitting the target, causing anyone other than elves to fall unconscious upon inhalation.

The only weakness of the Armastasha Fleet is fire.

After all, their warships are pure wooden ships grown from seeds, but this fear of fire is relative only, as their ships can self-heal. Without being hit by enough shells, forcing them to stop is impossible.

The sea elves also have the protection of the Storm Queen, so they are entirely unafraid of the Daguan Fishmen’s storm tactics, and when necessary, these sea elves can even take control of the fishmen’s storm for their use.

In short, don’t underestimate the number of elf fleets, they dominate the Misty Sea with their elite demeanor, and what limits the Armastasha Fleet isn’t the number of ships, but the number of sea elves.

If they want, they can mass-produce these seed ships anytime, but elves are rare and precious, so the Armastasha Fleet rarely leaves their kingdom’s waters unless necessary.

Naturally, there’s no foolhardy individual who would dare provoke them, as these sea elves are famously united and vengeful.

That idiot Babro offended them over a hundred years ago and is still being heavily hunted. But the Bloody Captain truly has skills; he is one of the few men on this sea to have made the elves suffer and yet remain unharmed.”

“Is it really that awesome?”

Five pairs listened and marveled, saying:

“So even though there are few factions in the Misty Sea, they are all heavyweight, right? For us newbies trying to make a name at sea, the difficulty is great.”

“It’s practically hell difficulty.”

The half-body first mate laughed heartily, counting his fingers:

“The sea area of the Castia Peninsula is the territory of the sea elves, Origin Land has the mechanical navy of the Sanghai People, and going north to Stormy Sea there’s the Goldenrod Kingdom’s Royal Psychic Fleet; none of these factions are easy to provoke.
