My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 3054 -1017: Oh, Three Five Battles, So You’re Playing This Ghostly Love Game, Right?

Mermaids are beings blessed by the Sea God, the Sea Abyss Deity Leviathan. Their affinity with water elements and aptitude for Torrent Psychokinesis are maxed out. Even young mermaids can skillfully use a series of water element spells. As they grow older, they begin learning the intricate magic of Torrent Psychokinesis, and their combat effectiveness is further enhanced in water environments.

The Kingdom of Mermaids can withstand the attacks of Daguan Fishmen in the Misty Sea thanks to this extraordinary talent.

Given a favorable terrain, every Mermaid Priestess is a mobile casting turret. Thus, Three Five Battles soon embarrassingly discovered that Katerina was not actually his burden, but rather, seeing the miraculous torrent offense from the little mermaid, he realized he was her burden.

“Ah, I can’t manage; I’m still in a weakened state after Sir Morphy’s purification, and my spiritual energy can’t replenish quickly, Three Five Battles! Think of something!”

The little mermaid, while impressively unleashing two blasts of ice storms to freeze the surrounding Daguan Fishmen, urgently shouted, making Three Five Battles roll his eyes, thinking he had ghostly ideas.

He wasn’t like Brother Meow, the Red Knight, who could nurture a carnivorous plant army by fighting. As someone determined to follow the White Knight path, Witch-hunting Master Three Five Battles was specialized in guarding but lacked sheer destructiveness. Thus, he could only invoke Avalon’s Heavenly Kingdom Barrier to buy time and await rescue.

However, he soon noticed something peculiar about the fishmen nearby.

These Daguan Fishmen had subtle differences from the barbaric sea tribe that previously attacked the Port District. They were covered in strange purple-black stripes, emitting an eerie light in the dark, and they were generally uglier and more sinister.

They generally possessed limb mutations, and some had bizarre tendrils on their foreheads, ending in dimly glowing bulbs.

“Damn! Angler Fishmen?”

Three Five Battles cursed:

“These freak things are truly uniquely ugly, making your heart skip a beat with just one look.”

“No, Three Five Battles, these fishmen are Abyssal Chosen of Daguan…we seem to have…discovered something incredible!”

Katerina whispered:

“I’ve heard my elder sisters say that Abyssal Chosen only follow the Daguan Holy Child, and Daguan Holy Children naturally possess storm-riding talents. The evil guy who cast spells to trap the sisters is nearby!

Quick, contact your comrades and have them come quickly, killing it will quell the storm.”

“You sure are daring, sister.”

Three Five Battles quipped:

“That Holy Child sounds hard to deal with, doesn’t it? Might be a Gold Stage monster. Who could make it here to help now? I think we should break through first…Hmm? Why is my shadow…no, watch out!”

Avalon’s Witch-hunting Master keenly noticed his shadow darting strangely beneath him—but in this environment, without a glimmer of light, where would the shadow come from?

It must be some kind of evil art!

Three Five Battles pushed Katerina away and expanded Avalon’s Divine Arts Barrier.

In the next instant, amidst strange deep-sea wailing, his shadow transformed into a “fish” leaping from the darkness, opening a mouthful of sharp teeth and swallowing Three Five Battles whole, accompanied by ear-piercing chewing sounds and Three Five Battles’s screams.

Katerina, pushed aside, was terrified.

She saw the abyssal fish monster devouring her land friend and instantly recalled certain eerie evil arts recorded in the Temple of the Giant Rock belonging to The Hidden Worship of Daguan.

The one before her was among them, projected as an abyssal reflection on the shadow to erode body and mind. Once entirely devoured by this ghostly thing, Three Five Battles’s mind would be drawn into Daguan’s Abyssal Divine Kingdom for complete corruption.

“Land dweller! Hold on!”

The little mermaid shouted, desperately calling forth pure ocean power to create an extraordinarily large Torrent Trident Illusion, and gritting her teeth, she hurled it at the evil force field trapping Three Five Battles.

This strike left her drained, without time to check her success before a cunning fishman sprang from the side and slashed at her.

Three Five Battles was already drawn into chaotic illusions, seeing with bare eyes that lonely “lantern” emitting faint light in the Abyssal Divine Kingdom.

It appeared as the only light in darkness, guiding him to move forward.

He walked dazedly toward the lighted “lantern” amidst muddled voices echoing and calling, but then he realized it was a strange glowing entity, with the enormous abyssal fishman eyeing him in the shadows with bulbous eyes.

That thing had a hunched, sinister fishman body, clad in dim scales adorned with unsettling white-red mottles resembling decay, plague, and disease.

Daguan!

Is this an illusion of the Father of Fish?

“Bang”

Just as Three Five Battles’s sanity neared collapse from directly staring at the Evil God, a loud bang and waves of pain snapped him back to reality, sharply biting his tongue to painfully escape the mental illusion. He called Avalon’s name and reactivated Divine Arts.

Bright green light erupted from his battered body, forming a burning gale that shattered all surrounding shadow fish. As he crawled out from the shadow zone, he looked up to see the exhausted little mermaid enduringly wielding a scavenged fishman long knife, struggling against the Abyssal Chosen’s onslaught.
