My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 3073 -1023: Sometimes, Letting Your Values Follow Your Senses Isn’t Such a Bad Thing…

“Damn!”

When Mou Niqiong looked into the fishman’s eyes in his dream, he was terrified by the eerie gleam in those bulging eyes. With a jolt, he jumped up from the chair and plopped into the pool beside him.

The scariest part was that after falling into the water, Little Brother Fu not only didn’t feel disoriented from being submerged, but he actually felt a strange sense of calm? As if he had returned to the warmth of home.

Shit!

This is getting more and more ridiculous!

After crawling out awkwardly, the first thing Little Brother Fu wanted to do was schedule an appointment with a reliable psychologist, but after thinking it over, he decided to call Crow Brother instead.

“Wait! Don’t rush. Tell me everything from the start.”

Crow was equally puzzled when answering the call.

However, after listening to Little Brother Fu’s description, Crow’s tone became noticeably serious, and he said:

“You live close to me, don’t postpone this, come over tonight! I’m not a professional in this field, but during my doctoral years I studied similar subjects, I’ll take a look, but don’t worry too much, the cognitive filtering program of the game helmet is very sophisticated, at most it’ll leave some harmless mental suggestions.”

“Even if left alone, these nightmares will dissipate within a few days.”

“Huh?”

Little Brother Fu asked in surprise:

“Why are you so calm about this! And how do you know so much? Have you experienced something similar before?”

“Oh, in the past, for research on the effects of different divine powers, I went to the Baphomet Underground Palace specifically to lure Goat Man cultists into using Nightmare Tyrant’s divine arts to attack me, so if you insist, you wouldn’t be wrong to say I’ve been through it.”

Crow said with a calm tone:

“Based on my experience, you will have more nightmares tonight, but tomorrow morning the situation should be much better, and by tomorrow night it will have little to no impact. So if you want a good night’s sleep tonight, come to me.

I’ll perform hypnosis on you.

How’s the condition of the others who were affected by Daguan’s divine arts with you?”

“Except for Belly Brother, everyone else chose to refuse the blessing.”

Little Brother Fu honestly replied:

“Everyone thinks the merfolk are too ugly and lack any appealing strength, compared to other races, it offers no advantage, so the situation of the others should be much like mine. But Belly Brother chose to accept the blessing, he wouldn’t really have a problem, would he?”

“No.”

Crow provided a definite answer and explained:

“The transmission of divine power requires a vessel, we are only psychic projections over there and can’t truly bear too much divine power, and the distance between the two worlds is far enough to make someone like Daguan despair, let alone with the game helmet as the last line of defense.”

But I’m not really clear about your specific situation in the environment of Abyssal blessing, so if possible, we need to visit Belly Brother.

His active acceptance of Abyssal blessing means Daguan has established a direct connection with him, although a mental transformation isn’t possible within a few minutes, his susceptibility to mental suggestions is definitely far more severe than yours.

In other words, without psychological intervention, it would be difficult for him to overcome the constant nightmares on his own in a short period, and he might even develop symptoms like mental fatigue.

But that’s as serious as it gets.

You needn’t worry about Belly Brother turning into a croaking merfolk in the real world…”

“Isn’t that serious enough?”

Little Brother Fu jumped up and said:

“I’ll drive over to pick you up right away, I know where Belly lives, let’s go find him together, damn! Playing a game and ending up with mental fatigue is too dangerous, isn’t it?”

“A game? Haha, you’re a seasoned player, no need for self-hypnosis at this point, right?”

Crow said in a relaxed tone:

“This counts as a lesson to remind our player brothers and sisters not to casually accept unknown powers in their otherworldly adventures for some random purposes.”

Additionally, call Loyal Brother on the way to inform him.

He needs to know about situations like this and prepare in advance, Belly’s case won’t be the first or the last.

As the player community gets closer to various sneaky subspace creatures and those odd mental suggestions in the current narrative structure, to prevent something like ‘The Hidden Worship of Daguan’ or similar from actually appearing in our future, they need to make corresponding preparations.”

“Oh, okay, I’ll contact Loyal Brother then.”

Little Brother Fu obediently hung up the phone, Crow Brother sitting in the wheelchair grinned, then put the helmet beside him on his head and returned to the chapel dormitory in Transylvania.

He sat back at the desk, looking at the marked plans in front of him, and after a moment picked up the gold coin beside him, spinning it at his fingertips, watching the unique halo created by its spinning, Crow Brother whispered:

“Well then, Lady Dutna, are you also attempting something similar? Extending your influence into another world through the thoughts of us ‘different world people’… Hmm, I’d advise you not to do so.

A pure god like you would be drained of every last bit of value and consumed entirely in our cruel world.”
