My Players Are So Fierce

Chapter 3060 -1019: Triss & Murphy’s Dark Past +1_2

“Oh my, please stop fighting.”

As she watched the sisters start to tear into each other, Sister Nikita stepped back expressionlessly, avoiding involvement in these everyday quarrels of jealousy.

Speaking of mermaid societies, composed entirely of females, it’s quite normal for playful squabbles that only the sisters can understand to occur in daily life. Even in a nation of women, while they advocate for faithful relationships, there are still bold and passionate mermaid ladies, and there were instances in the past where mermaids ran off to be someone’s lover.

After all, the upper echelons of the Kalem Ancient Country appreciate elegance, and having close confidantes is quite normal. Moreover, with the backing of the Atlantean Kingdom, even if the mermaids ran off to become mistresses, there’s no need to worry about being bullied.

There are even some “seniors” who have successfully ascended and published high-end techniques like “Mansion Fighting Technique” for their compatriots to learn from.

In short, never delve too deeply into matters concerning the mermaid ladies, or you might easily discover some eye-opening details.

Nikita swayed her serpent tail, adorned with gemstones and metal scales, as she entered the old lighthouse stronghold. Mr. Murphy and his partner were here chatting with Lady Dena. The sisters sent out for backup, Sister Katerina, served nearby, but her eyes were red as if she had cried.

“Huh?”

The expression of the Tidal Hunter Commander immediately turned somber.

She couldn’t stand seeing her compatriots being bullied, especially since Katerina is a “descendant of a former acquaintance.” She had to inquire about it, both emotionally and rationally, but that would have to wait until the conversation with the distant Governor was over.

“Nikita, come over quickly!”

Lady Dena saw her trusted assistant and enthusiastically called her sister forward, then said to Lady Triss:

“This is the new Tide Sword Saint of the Avenger’s Temple, the most promising rising star among the followers of Vicanos. Her mother is none other than your acquaintance Lord Felina, as I mentioned earlier. Lord Felina has now been transferred to the Moon Province as the Storm Governor.

She certainly won’t be able to return in time to reminisce with you, but I suspect Lord Felina has spoken to her only daughter about you.”

“Nikita, this is Lady Triss, a former friend of your mother.”

“Are you the legendary ‘Scarlet Witch’?”

The Tidal Hunter was taken aback, instinctively blurting out the nickname, causing Triss to shrug and step forward with a “kind” elder demeanor, saying to Nikita:

“How is your mother? Has she told you stories about me and her? If she hasn’t, I would be very disappointed, as I don’t consider many people friends.”

“Of course, before my mother left the Large Reef Province, she reminded me to take the chance to visit Transylvania to search for your whereabouts on her behalf.”

Lady Nikita looked at Triss with a peculiar expression and whispered:

“Every time my mother got drunk, she would talk about the seventeen years she spent with you on that desolate island deep within the Misty Sea wilderness. She praised you as the most outstanding Psychic she had ever met and said… well, I won’t repeat that.

In short, when I wasn’t so mature, I often thought that if it weren’t for my birth, I’d definitely suspect my mother preferred romantic feelings on a spiritual level, and her rumored romantic interest was evidently you.”

“Uh, this…”

Triss was immediately flabbergasted.

Felina, you sly one!

I considered you a friend, and you actually wanted to sleep with me!?

Beside her, Murphy couldn’t figure out what expression to make either, managing only an awkwardly gentle smile while internally his toes dug three rooms and a living area into the ground.

This Triss!

Why does she always entangle herself in such peculiar matters?

First was the mother-obsessed Luna, then the seemingly romantic interest mermaid governor Felina; how much do you, the Scarlet Witch, have hidden from me in the past!!!

“Um…”

Lady Dena was also very embarrassed at that moment.

She truly didn’t expect Sister Nikita to be so straightforward, saying these things right to people’s faces. Rumors said Sister Nikita didn’t get along with her influential mother, adamantly staying in her hometown, the Large Reef Province, when Storm Governor Felina moved to the Moon Province. Now it seems their relationship is really bad.

Otherwise, who would say such nonsense face to face?

Well, of course, it’s possible Nikita’s emotional intelligence is just low…

“So… let’s talk about the bounty issue.”

Murphy actively broke the silence.

He stepped forward to hold Triss’s hand, unsure of where to put it, and looked at the two mermaids, saying earnestly:

“Sorry for not informing you in advance, but to motivate my warriors’ enthusiasm for battle, I initiated this war under the name of the Temple of the Giant Rock and promised rewards. However, I discussed with the Wanderers before announcing this. Old Turtle… er, Lord Triton didn’t show any opposition; Miss Katerina can attest.”

“It’s okay, Mr. Murphy.”

Lady Dena said very seriously:

“Regardless of what rewards you promised your warriors, our Large Reef Province’s Temple of the Giant Rock will take full responsibility for the aftermath. Your selfless aid today made us clearly aware of your sincerity.

Moreover, repelling the Daguan Fishmen’s siege doesn’t mean the end of the war.
