The Fantastic Little Farmer

Chapter 198: Chapter 198: Healing with Divine Medicine

Zhang Yun’s first reaction was to wonder if something had happened. Given the Donghuang Sect’s habit of leaving multiple backup plans, there could still be someone lying in ambush at the hotel.

However, since all their luggage was gone, that clearly wasn’t the case. What kind of kidnapper would be so considerate?

He hadn’t had time to check his phone since going to the park. Checking WeChat now, he saw that Yang Xiaoyun had indeed left him a message.

”Zhang Yun, Feng Ru doesn’t have time to hang out with me indefinitely, so I went back with her. Thank you so much for last night. You helped me regain my confidence and overcome my emotional hurdles. Now, I can finally open my heart and step into a new life. [Happy]”

”Also... you are amazing. [Shy] I am very happy. [Shy] Feng Ru is very thirsty... [Snicker]”

Zhang Yun had originally assumed that upon waking up sober and rational, Yang Xiaoyun had found the situation hard to accept or too awkward to face, which was why she left early.

Seeing her two messages, complete with emojis, told him she wasn’t burdened by it. The last sentence was clearly teasing, but he could feel the sincerity behind it. He just hadn’t expected that taking that step last night would actually help her overcome her emotional hurdles and regain her confidence! Before, he thought it was purely out of gratitude to repay him. It seemed neither of them had fully grasped the depth of the situation.

With that, Zhang Yun felt relieved. The pressure was gone, and he was happy to just let nature take its course.

He replied with a briefly worded message, telling Yang Xiaoyun not to hesitate if she ever needed help and that she could come to him anytime. Since they were gone, he could now focus entirely on saving Qi Luo.

”I’ve diluted the Elixir in the water. Drink it.”

Looking at the freshly opened mineral water, Qi Luo didn’t suspect a thing. Given the vast difference in their current physical conditions, if Zhang Yun wanted to force himself on her, he could easily pin her down. She wouldn’t even be able to put up a struggle, so there was no need for him to drug her.

”I’ll impart a bit of my Power to stimulate the effects. Soon, your entire body will feel burning hot. You won’t be able to bear it, so I’ll need to soak you in the bathtub.”

Qi Luo was still a little skeptical. ”Is that really necessary? I should be able to handle it. Look at me—I’m injured this badly, yet I haven’t even let out a single groan.”

”It’s not like I’m tricking you to take advantage of you. There is historical precedent! For example... when Yang Guo and Little Dragon Girl practiced their martial arts in the flower bushes,” Zhang Yun said, pulling a piece of evidence completely out of thin air.

Qi Luo was speechless. Did that really count as historical precedent?

”I’ve already changed my clothes, but you don’t have a spare set. You can either change into a bathrobe before soaking, or just soak directly and put the robe on afterward. Alternatively, you can tell me your sizes, and I can go buy you an outfit later.” Zhang Yun gave her three options.

Hearing him mention the bathrobe, Qi Luo knew his intentions were pure and that he wasn’t trying to take advantage of her. If her current clothes got soaked, they would be far more revealing than a thick robe. Furthermore, telling him all her measurements from the inside out so he could go shopping was far too embarrassing. ”Bring me the bathrobe!”

Zhang Yun grabbed a bathrobe and handed it over, then proactively went into the bathroom. The bathtub was already filled with cold water, though it was a pity there was no ice.

”Are you done yet?” he called out.

”Not that fast!”

Qi Luo huffed in frustration. She never expected that simply putting on and taking off clothes would become such a monumental task!

Half of her waist, thigh, and buttocks were completely numb. The other side of her waist felt as if it were broken, and her abdomen throbbed with intense pain. Even one of her wrists and its fingers were partially paralyzed. Relying on sheer willpower, she endured the agonizing pain of pulling at her wounds. However, she simply couldn’t bend her body. Forcing herself to fold and stretch would likely make her pass out from the pain.

”I’m done!”

In the bathroom, Zhang Yun was a little surprised. Hadn’t she just said it wouldn’t be that fast? How was she done already? When he came out to check, he found Qi Luo lying on the bed. Her clothes had been tugged at slightly, but they hadn’t been taken off at all.

”I can’t do it...” Qi Luo smiled bitterly. ”I’m basically a cripple right now. I can already feel the heat starting to build up. Help me...”

The severity of her injuries made it impossible to maintain her dignity. Being forced to beg Zhang Yun for help filled her with a deep sense of shame. Zhang Yun looked at her. For someone so prideful—a self-proclaimed cold-blooded assassin who killed without batting an eye—not even being able to undress herself must have been a massive blow.

”If you don’t want to watch, just close your eyes,” he said.

Qi Luo closed her eyes. It did help avoid a little bit of the shame and awkwardness, but... why should she be the one to hide? Even if she had no other choice, she could at least use her glare to keep him in line, right? Otherwise, wouldn’t he just be free to look and touch however he pleased?

She abruptly snapped her eyes open, only to find that Zhang Yun had already swiftly removed her outer clothes and casually draped the bathrobe over her. Everything else—from her underwear to her pants—was removed under the cover of the robe, with him trying his utmost to avoid touching her body.

Qi Luo stared at him with a complicated expression.

This man... this perverted guy hadn’t just refrained from taking advantage of her—he had respected her! He had seamlessly protected her dignity in the best way possible. Yet, being treated in such a perfectly gentlemanly manner couldn’t help but make her feel a twinge of dissatisfaction. ”Do I really have absolutely no appeal?” she thought. ”Look at you! You’re as calm and serious as a doctor, a forensic examiner, or a mortician at work.”

What she didn’t know was that Zhang Yun was currently marveling inwardly. Yesterday, after Qi Luo had tossed the other two women into the bathtub, dressing them had given him plenty of Experience. Putting clothes on was, of course, much harder than taking them off.

Fortunately, they had been unconscious at the time, allowing him to take his time without any awkwardness. He had used a bath towel to cover them then, too. If they had been awake, the process of dressing them would have been even more... wait! If they had been awake, would they even have needed his help?

Once he finished removing her clothes, Zhang Yun used a bath towel to cover her before carefully transitioning her into the bathrobe and tying the belt around her waist.

”See? It’s troublesome even for me,” he said. ”It’s not that you’re useless; your injuries are just too severe.”

Despite his comforting words, Qi Luo couldn’t resist asking a completely different question. ”Why are you so calm? Have you undressed a lot of girls?”

Zhang Yun lightly patted her. ”That’s your fault! You stripped them naked yesterday, so I had to cover them up like this while helping them dress.”

Qi Luo looked at him suspiciously. ”Why didn’t you just wake them up?”

”And how would I explain things if I woke them up?” Zhang Yun rolled his eyes.

”Pfft! You massive pervert. You definitely took the opportunity to look, touch, and maybe even... heh! Lucky you.”

Zhang Yun chuckled. ”Heh, so what if I did? Do I need to report to you that I had wild sex with them last night and went through several boxes of condoms?”

”Oh! No wonder you’re so calm. You’ve been drained dry and are stuck in sage mode.” Zhang Yun was rendered speechless.

He picked her up and placed her directly into the bathtub.

Since Qi Luo hadn’t swallowed the flower petals directly and consumed them diluted in water instead, the effects didn’t flare up quite as quickly. However, she was definitely starting to heat up now.

”Karma never misses, huh? Yesterday I threw someone else into a bathtub, and today I’m the one being thrown in.”

”Stop talking!” Zhang Yun sat on the edge of the bathtub and pressed his hand onto the top of her head, striking a pose as if he were transferring his Power to her.

While Qi Luo believed in the medicine, she remained highly doubtful of his ability to transfer Power. To her shock, the moment Zhang Yun placed his hand on her head, her body truly began to grow hotter and hotter. Even soaking in the cold water wasn’t enough to provide immediate relief.

Zhang Yun actually possessed a Divine Skill! And what kind of Divine Medicine was this?!

The ambient temperature of the cold tap water in a hotel was much higher than that of the water in Shantang. Coupled with the small confines of the bathtub, the water quickly turned lukewarm. Seeing that Qi Luo had entered a state of torment, Zhang Yun stopped putting on a show. He pulled the bathtub drain plug and turned on the faucet, allowing the cold water to flow continuously to accelerate the dissipation of her intense heat.

When he had gone through the process himself, he could only experience it, unable to properly observe the effects on his own body. Now, Zhang Yun had the perfect opportunity to use Qi Luo as an observation subject.

He quickly noticed a faint, dark substance oozing from her skin. ”TSK TSK,” he thought. ”Does this beauty not shower?”

Wait, no, it was probably just forcing out the toxins from the Poison Needle.
