The Fantastic Little Farmer

Chapter 189: Chapter 189: Thank You

With a few condoms in hand, combined with Feng Ru’s ”threat,” Zhang Yun completely lost interest in the rest of the movie. His mind was entirely focused on figuring out what to do tonight.

Previously, no matter which of them was joking around, he just assumed they were teasing him. He hadn’t actually been foolish enough to go out and buy condoms. But now, she had even prepared the condoms for him. Backing down now would make him seem like a total coward. Besides, playing the ”perfect gentleman” at this point would frankly just be insulting to them.

But these were given by Feng Ru, and the target was Yang Xiaoyun. They had talked about this in the morning; even if Xiaoyun took the initiative, it would mostly be out of gratitude mixed with a desire to let loose.

Zhang Yun still couldn’t bring himself to let go!

Amidst his inner turmoil, the movie quickly ended. Couples left hand in hand. The three of them walked among the crowd, and this time, no one paid them any attention.

”Oh! Something came up at my shop. I need to head back for a bit...” Feng Ru checked her phone and immediately came up with an excuse.

”Don’t!” Yang Xiaoyun grabbed her. ”Hehe, don’t even think about slipping away. The shop is already closed, so what could possibly be going on? You’re coming back with me!”

”Stop messing around. I really have something to do. I’ll just come back early later to keep you company.”

”No way. Without you here, it’ll just be Zhang Yun and me. It’ll be awkward.” Yang Xiaoyun saw right through her intentions.

Zhang Yun already had no idea how to handle the situation, so he hurriedly urged her to come along too. Feng Ru simply rolled her eyes at him and followed them back.

Upon returning to the guest room, Yang Xiaoyun immediately ordered Feng Ru to go take a shower!

”You go first!”

”No, if I go first, you’ll run away! Get in there. Put on a bathrobe when you’re done!” Yang Xiaoyun cut off her escape route and shoved her inside.

Now that it was just the two of them left, Yang Xiaoyun asked directly, ”Did Feng Ru say something to you earlier?”

Zhang Yun fished the condoms out of his pocket and answered honestly, ”She gave me some balloons and told me to use them with you tonight.”

Yang Xiaoyun didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. She thought Feng Ru had merely given him a pep talk and found an excuse to leave. She never expected her friend to have prepared even this.

”How thoughtful of her!”

”Haha, she probably figured there was no way I’d dare to go buy them myself.”

But Yang Xiaoyun immediately asked, ”So, do you want to use them?”

”COUGH...” Zhang Yun nearly choked.

Seeing his flustered appearance, Yang Xiaoyun let out a PFFT and laughed. ”Your upper brain is very rational, but your lower brain is very honest.”

”Ah?” Zhang Yun hurriedly covered himself, only to realize a moment later that nothing was actually pitching a tent down there!

”HAHAHA...” Yang Xiaoyun was thoroughly amused by his reaction. ”I meant that part of you wants to try, but another part is held back by your principles.” Then she let out a soft sigh. ”Miss Ouyang must know you very well to be so at ease with you.”

Zhang Yun was taken aback. He wondered if Ouyang Mingruo simply hadn’t expected them to stay the night.

”Alright, stop overthinking it,” Yang Xiaoyun said earnestly. ”Feng Ru just wants to help me. She feels that only by accepting someone else into my life can I completely banish my ex’s influence.”

Zhang Yun instantly sobered up. That was right. Feng Ru had probably been encouraging her this whole time, but there just hadn’t been a suitable target. He merely happened to be at the right place at the right time, checking all the boxes.

”So, don’t blame her, and don’t worry about us having questionable morals,” Yang Xiaoyun explained on Feng Ru’s behalf.

”I didn’t mean that...”

”As for us, I already told you this morning. I’ll hold onto this for you, and whenever you figure things out, you can have it. I won’t interfere with your life, and it doesn’t matter who you choose to date.” Yang Xiaoyun pulled Zhang Yun over and hugged his head against her chest.

”Thank you...”

”Thank you too, Sister Xiaoyun.”

Zhang Yun murmured. This kind of intimate contact was a first for him too. Strangely, even as his cheeks felt her soft, yielding curves, neither his body nor his mind felt aroused. Instead, a deep sense of tranquility washed over him.

”Do you want to experience it again?”

Hearing Yang Xiaoyun’s gentle voice, Zhang Yun remembered what had happened that morning. The warm and peaceful atmosphere from a moment ago was instantly replaced by a sudden surge of arousal.

Yang Xiaoyun grabbed his hand, pressed it down slightly, and then laughed. ”I’m going in to shower. Have fun sorting yourself out!”

”...”

The moment she went in, Feng Ru immediately squealed. The two of them laughed and roughhoused inside. Feng Ru even began describing the scene she had allegedly walked in on, deliberately raising her voice so Zhang Yun could hear.

Zhang Yun listened helplessly, a vivid image already forming in his mind. But could he really just sort himself out right now? That would leave a smell! They were both experienced women; they would definitely notice. To avoid being teased by them, Zhang Yun decided to just get into bed and go to sleep!

However, he hadn’t brought any pajamas, and the guest room only had two bathrobes. He could only bury himself under the covers. As long as they didn’t come over and flip the blanket, he wouldn’t have anything to be embarrassed about.

He checked WeChat and saw messages from quite a few people. Ouyang Mingruo was checking in on what he had for dinner and asking if he wanted to get morning tea together with Ming Tian. That girl from Xiaobei Village had tried to add him again. Chen Hui was asking when he would visit Teacher Cao.

Xu Jin and the others had also reported on their situation. There had been no troublemakers at home, and they were helping with the farm work. Fu Yudie had finished her check-ups and observation periods without any issues; Ming Tian could officially discharge her.

There was also He Xiong, who was staying in the guest room across the hall, asking if he was free tonight to grab a drink at the hotel’s rooftop lounge. Since there was nothing urgent or mandatory, Zhang Yun couldn’t be bothered to reply after reading them.

The bathroom door opened, and Feng Ru and Yang Xiaoyun walked out wearing bathrobes.

Feng Ru flipped her hair and said flirtatiously, ”Yun! I like this bed. You sleep on the other one!”

Zhang Yun chuckled. ”Not giving it up, and I’m not sleeping on the floor either. I’ll have to ask you two sisters to squeeze into one bed!”

”Guess whether we’re wearing underwear underneath?” Feng Ru made a show of grabbing her bathrobe as if to flash him.

Yang Xiaoyun looked a bit helpless. ”I can’t believe these bathrobes don’t have belts.”

They had to hold the robes closed with their hands; otherwise, they would slip right open.

Zhang Yun felt a wave of embarrassment. The belts did exist, but they had been pulled out by Qi Luo to tie him up earlier. Later, he had sliced them up with the Blood Testing Demon Blade and tossed them into the trash can. He simply widened his eyes and stared at them, putting on an expression that clearly said if they dared to open them, he dared to look.

Feng Ru, on the other hand, pretended to lunge for Zhang Yun’s blanket. ”Let me inspect you...”

”Please don’t...” Zhang Yun hastily gripped the covers tighter.

Yang Xiaoyun hurriedly pulled her onto the other bed to defuse the situation. ”Let me interview you for a second. There are two women lying less than a meter away from you. How are you feeling right now?”

”Grateful for the trust of my two sisters!” Zhang Yun replied solemnly.

”Tch! I wasted my time creating this opportunity for you.” Unable to sit still, Feng Ru continued, ”Let me give you a riddle. Xiaoyun and I are hugging each other face-to-face. Guess a type of beverage?”

”A beverage?” Zhang Yun struggled to keep up with her thought process. He almost blurted out ”green tea,” but that would be construed as an insult.

”A double milkshake! Alright, try this one: a man wearing really tight pants. Guess a food.”

”A meatball sub! Is there also one for a woman in tight pants? A pink taco? I’ve heard these before!”

”Honestly, you two, can you please stop with the dirty riddles?” Yang Xiaoyun chided with a laugh.

Just as Zhang Yun was about to reply, a WeChat video call popped up on his screen. This was something Ouyang Mingruo frequently did, so Zhang Yun instinctively went to hang up. However, he paused when he realized the caller was Qi Luo.

That wasn’t right. The female subordinate of that professional assassin wanted absolutely nothing to do with him. For her to frantically video call him at this hour, there had to be an emergency!
