The Fantastic Little Farmer

Chapter 190: Chapter 190: Someone Is Coming to Kill You

After a moment of thought, Zhang Yun quickly headed to the bathroom. Only after closing the door did he answer the call.

”What’s wrong?”

The moment the video connected, Qi Luo saw that Zhang Yun wasn’t wearing any clothes. She couldn’t help but roll her eyes. ”Did I interrupt your fun?”

”Get to the point!” Zhang Yun grumbled.

”Someone is coming to kill you.”

”Who?”

”Not the Liu Family. The Liu Family is in chaos right now and has to deal with Ouyang Kunpeng, so they don’t have time to pay attention to you. Yang Zhao had his head blown off by you too quickly to relay any information, so it should be someone connected to Huang Tianbi.”

Zhang Yun frowned slightly. It seemed Qi Luo’s information was limited, and she had pieced this together through analysis.

”Do you know exactly who?”

”No,” Qi Luo continued. ”I’m already back at your hotel. I’ve been keeping an eye on the lobby for a while. If I can flush them out, I’ll take care of them for you. If one slips through, you’re on your own.”

”You’re downstairs? You can’t just sit there forever, or you’ll become the suspicious one.”

”I’ll wait as long as I can. I already checked—the rooms opposite and adjacent to yours are all occupied.”

Qi Luo’s words gave Zhang Yun an idea. ”Wait a second. Let me see if I can get the room opposite mine. If you protect me from there, we can coordinate much better.”

Zhang Yun hung up and immediately dialed He Xiong.

”Haha, my brother Zhang Yun, all done?” He Xiong let out a knowing chuckle.

”Boss He, are you back at the hotel?”

”I’m already back. I was just about to ask you...”

Zhang Yun interrupted the excited He Xiong. ”Can I borrow your room? I have a friend who needs a place to stay. You can just book another one for yourself.”

He Xiong was taken aback, but he immediately caught on. ”A woman?”

”Yes, a woman...”

”I get it! No problem. Mine is a twin room too, and one of the beds hasn’t been touched. You guys can... haha!”

”Let’s swap right now. Just leave the key card on the carpet outside your door.”

”You got it!” He Xiong let out another suggestive chuckle. Since Zhang Yun couldn’t even come out to grab the key card, it was easy to imagine what kind of scene was playing out in his room right now.

Zhang Yun immediately notified Qi Luo, telling her to come up first and keep an eye on his door from the room across the hall.

A short while later, he heard a door open outside. Looking through the peephole, he saw He Xiong leaving with his luggage, leaving the key card on the ground. Soon after, Qi Luo arrived. As if knowing Zhang Yun was watching, she flashed an ”OK” sign at his door before entering the room opposite.

With Qi Luo protecting him from across the hall, he wouldn’t be ambushed. Feeling reassured, Zhang Yun walked back into the bedroom.

Seeing Feng Ru and Yang Xiaoyun staring at him, Zhang Yun spread his hands and gave a brief explanation. ”A friend had something important to discuss with me...”

”Must be a woman,” Feng Ru chuckled.

Zhang Yun laughed and openly admitted it. ”Exactly! That’s why I couldn’t let her see I had two beauties right next to me.”

Feng Ru whistled. ”Nice body.” Beside her, Yang Xiaoyun was also giggling softly.

Only then did Zhang Yun realize his situation. In his earlier rush, he had thrown off the covers and bolted for the bathroom without putting on any clothes.

”Ha, I forgot...”

Zhang Yun covered himself with both hands, ready to dive onto the bed, but then he realized something was wrong!

Both of them were in bed, but Feng Ru had moved to the bed he was previously sleeping in. Now they were occupying one bed each!

While he was figuring out how to handle the situation, he had completely overlooked this detail.

Feng Ru whistled again. ”Handsome, it’s time to make your choice. Do you want Sister Xiaoyun’s side, or mine? Or... only kids make choices?”

Zhang Yun smiled wryly. ”Sister Ru, don’t do this...” He would obviously choose to put on his clothes!

But when he looked around, he didn’t see his clothes. It seemed Feng Ru had pulled them under the covers with her!

He cursed inwardly. Did she have to be this ruthless?

”Oh my! I’m going to sleep. I don’t care which bed you get into... But this bathrobe is too rough. I don’t like sleeping in it,” Feng Ru said as she tossed the hotel’s white bathrobe out from under the covers.

Zhang Yun was speechless. She had completely blocked his path to finding clothes.

And even though Feng Ru said she was going to sleep, she was still staring at him with a smiling face.

Zhang Yun was in a tight spot. Even if he wanted to go to the room across the hall, he needed to get dressed. If he went out like this, the surveillance cameras would capture him, and who knew what people would think he was doing? Plus, Qi Luo definitely wouldn’t let him inside looking like this.

His only other option was the bathroom, but he couldn’t hole up in there all night.

”Alright, stop joking around...” Yang Xiaoyun quickly chided Feng Ru, afraid that Zhang Yun would get angry.

”You guys can squeeze in together!”

Feng Ru’s tactic of completely cutting off his options felt a bit excessive to Zhang Yun. So what if they had to squeeze in together? It wasn’t like he was the one losing out! And he definitely wasn’t going to squeeze into her bed!

Giving up on covering himself, Zhang Yun strode boldly over to Yang Xiaoyun’s side.

Yang Xiaoyun was momentarily stunned, not expecting him to actually go through with it. She hurriedly scooted over to make room.

”Good job!” Feng Ru was practically ready to clap. ”I know you guys are shy, so I’ll turn off the lights for you! I’m the kind of person who falls asleep in seconds, and I sleep like a log...”

Seeing her lean out to turn off the lights, Zhang Yun quickly averted his gaze.

As the room plunged into darkness, both Zhang Yun and Yang Xiaoyun breathed a sigh of relief. Without the glaring lights, things were significantly less awkward.

At that moment, Feng Ru tossed over the few little items she had prepared earlier.

”Damn you, Feng Ru, what are you doing?!” Yang Xiaoyun grabbed them, ready to throw them right back.

”Stop dawdling! Just get to it. If you throw them back, I’ll assume you don’t want any protection.”

Yang Xiaoyun fell silent.

Once Feng Ru stopped talking, the only sound left in the room was the breathing of the three people.

Zhang Yun didn’t say a word or make a single move, simply lying motionless on the edge of the bed.

But... the fact that he had come up onto the bed in a fit of pique signaled to Yang Xiaoyun that he had finally made up his mind!

She had already taken the initiative before. Now, with Feng Ru’s vigorous pushing, the lateness of the hour shielding her from shyness and embarrassment, and the darkness providing an extra surge of courage...

After Zhang Yun heard her breathing grow heavier, he felt a rustling sensation. A moment later, a fiery warmth pressed against him. His mind instantly went blank, and his defenses completely crumbled!

...

Over half an hour later, Zhang Yun felt his entire body coursing with strength!

It seemed the union of yin and yang had allowed the energy of the Mysterious Petal and the Spiritual Qi of the Ancient Artifacts to fuse and undergo an upgrade, nourishing him completely from body to soul.

Instead of the weakness that typically followed physical exertion, he felt a profound sense of fulfillment, as if he had just completed an intense cultivation session.

In the dim room, Yang Xiaoyun headed to the bathroom. As the sound of running water echoed, Feng Ru’s faint, grumbling voice drifted over.

”You weren’t faking it earlier, were you?”

Zhang Yun coughed dryly. ”It’s probably because I showered and slept this afternoon...”

Feng Ru immediately caught the underlying meaning. ”Wow, you’re something else! Were you afraid your stamina wouldn’t hold up, so you did a dress rehearsal in advance?”

Zhang Yun was speechless.

”Have you entered sage mode?”

”What?”

”Do you need a friendly hand to put out the fire?” Feng Ru’s voice grew slow and languid.

Zhang Yun smiled wryly. Those words were practically starting a fire. ”You should... just go drink some cold water!”
