The Fantastic Little Farmer

Chapter 168: Chapter 168: Super Counter-Kill

Zhang Yun sneered. ”What did I say earlier?”

Brother Long recalled Zhang Yun’s threat to blow his brains out if he dared to play tricks. Cold sweat poured down his face; he was in a state of absolute panic.

For a gang boss like him—who had a whole crew of thugs under his command yet constantly prepared to cut himself to bluff others—he was remarkably cautious. From personally guarding the hotel to spilling everything the moment Zhang Yun was lured over, he had been putting on a masterclass performance to win Zhang Yun’s trust.

But the moment they arrived at the factory district, Zhang Yun’s suspicions rapidly multiplied, to the point where he directly restrained him. Brother Long hadn’t expected this at all. If he had known, he would have made an excuse beforehand that the factory was on holiday.

It was too late to say anything now. Figuring out how to escape was his top priority!

”Boss, I had no idea! This was their arrangement. I’m just here to lead the way!”

Brother Long begged bitterly, but at the same time, he lifted one foot while his hand seamlessly slid toward his belt buckle. Just as his plea was ending, he swiftly stomped on Zhang Yun’s toes. His hand pulled out half a razor blade hidden inside his belt buckle, slashing it violently backward right at Zhang Yun’s face!

”Hack him to death!”

The men charging out of the stairwell wielded machetes, swarming forward with bloodcurdling screams.

Zhang Yun sneered. Brother Long’s petty tricks couldn’t escape his observation! Nor did he care about the machete-wielding thugs rushing out of the stairwell. These guys were just the vanguard, mere cannon fodder prepared for sacrifice. The real threat he needed to watch out for was a hidden sniper.

Blowing up the entire factory building to take him down was unlikely. Unlike the mountain villa, setting off explosives in an industrial park would cause too much commotion and could even trigger a chain reaction of explosions and fires in neighboring factories. They wouldn’t be able to cover that up.

Furthermore, this wasn’t like Ouyang Qilin’s long-term, meticulously planned scheme. The factory district was much larger than the villa; they couldn’t have prepared enough explosives on such short notice.

This wasn’t some hitman silencing a witness over a gun purchase. The mastermind behind this pointed directly to Liu Yandao!

When Brother Long used his begging as a cover to launch a surprise attack and stall for time, Zhang Yun directly hoisted his entire body into the air and swung him around!

Not only did his kick hit nothing but air, but the razor blade in his hand wildly flailed about. Zhang Yun was literally using him as a human weapon, smashing him into the charging thugs!

Instantly, Brother Long shrieked in agony. He often strapped silicone patches and blood bags to his legs just to put on a heroic, tough-guy act at crucial moments. But today, his legs were subjected to very real, brutal slashes!

He couldn’t play the tough guy anymore. He screamed and shrieked desperately, begging for mercy in the hope that Zhang Yun would let him go.

Since Zhang Yun was using him as a weapon, his legs were directly clashing with those machetes. As a result, while his vital organs remained untouched, his legs were practically being hacked down to the bone!

The thugs hadn’t expected Zhang Yun to use a person as a weapon. After their first wave of strikes, they hesitated. But if they didn’t hack away, they would be bludgeoned by his flailing limbs. With more people rushing in from behind, they had nowhere to retreat and were forced to keep hacking!

DING!

The elevator doors opened, and another wave of men poured out!

The reinforcement troops coming up the elevator were originally meant to cut off Zhang Yun’s escape route, but now they found themselves trapped inside. The moment they tried to poke their heads out, a pair of swinging legs forced them right back in.

The first wave of thugs had held back slightly, only striking when absolutely necessary. But the guys in the elevator, desperate to break out... slashed frantically with everything they had!

Eventually, Brother Long couldn’t even scream anymore; he was reduced to whimpering and crying. He was swung around until he was dizzy, yet every time a blade dug into his legs, the jolt of pain kept him agonizingly lucid, preventing him from escaping the torment.

Who knew how many slashes he had taken? At first, the blades just opened up gashes, but as the wounds multiplied, strips of flesh were literally torn from his body. Thankfully, he was wearing leather shoes, otherwise, all his toes would have been severed and sent flying.

”Is this it?” Zhang Yun let out a hearty laugh as he swung Brother Long like a club, charging straight into the wave of thugs by the stairwell!

Before, he was merely acting in self-defense, but now he was taking the offensive. He swung Brother Long even faster, sending anyone he struck tumbling to the ground. As he closed the distance, the thugs’ targets shifted from his calves and feet to his knees and thighs!

By this point, Brother Long only wished for a swift death! Unfortunately, the whiplash between dizziness and jolting pain made it impossible for him to even pass out.

”Attack together!”

”Hack him to pieces!”

”He won’t last more than a few seconds!”

The thugs in the elevator finally broke out, shouting battle cries as they charged at him.

They weren’t wrong. A grown man weighed at least a hundred and forty pounds. Throwing him once was one thing, but continuously swinging him around consumed a massive amount of stamina.

Zhang Yun only did this for two reasons: first, to buy some time to scan his surroundings and spot any potential sniper ambushes; second, of course, to punish this Brother Long!

This bastard had put on quite the act. In reality, it was precisely because of the gun incident that he was exposed, leading Liu Yandao and the Liu Family to seek him out. Who knew what massive reward they had promised him to set up this trap.

When Zhang Yun first arrived at the industrial park, he had still believed the story. But when he saw that the factory wasn’t operating and there wasn’t a single person in sight, his suspicions had immediately flared up.

More importantly, he had spotted a BMW in the parking lot!

It was the BMW Zhang Youcai had borrowed. Zhang Yun had only driven it for half a day yesterday, so he wasn’t exactly familiar with it. He had even forgotten about it afterward, and when he was at He Xiong’s place, he couldn’t remember if it had been among the cars blown up at the villa.

However, he still retained a vague impression of it. A quick glance at the license plate revealed it was from his hometown, making it extremely conspicuous.

Yesterday, Uncle Zhong had arranged for someone to drive the car away. It had either been taken to the villa or somewhere else. For it to appear in this parking lot now, there was only one possibility!

Uncle Zhong was Ouyang Qilin’s confidant, and Ouyang Qilin was in league with Liu Yandao. Right now, Liu Yandao was mobilizing his forces, drawing thugs from all over to converge here. The thug who had treated the car as his personal property had shown up as well.

At this point, Brother Long’s legs had been hacked so badly there was barely any flesh left on them. Zhang Yun didn’t want him to take any more hits—he would die too quickly. He needed to let the man slowly die of agony!

With one final swing, Zhang Yun released his grip, hurling Brother Long’s body into the wave of thugs pouring from the elevator!

When a hundred and forty pounds of dead weight came crashing down, not even a synchronized barrage of machetes could stop it. Several men were instantly bowled over.

”Kill him!”

Seeing that Zhang Yun had lost his human weapon, the first wave of thugs grew excited.

But their excitement quickly turned into despair!

If he could wield a man weighing over a hundred and forty pounds as a weapon, what would happen if he only held a machete? How much faster would he be?

Before they could even see clearly, Zhang Yun had already charged forward. He snatched a machete and began hacking away at lightning speed! His movements were blindingly fast, and his strength was overwhelming. Every strike inflicted a devastating wound!

Against such a large group, Zhang Yun didn’t even need to aim. He could swing in any direction and guarantee a hit. On the contrary, the thugs had to tread carefully to avoid striking their own men.

What made it even more unbelievable was that Zhang Yun was as slippery as an eel, weaving through the crowd with ease. One second he was right in front of them, but before they could even swing their blades, he had vanished behind them, already delivering a fatal slash.

In an instant, the excited battle cries were replaced by a chorus of agonizing screams!

After Brother Long was tossed aside, the thugs from the elevator were left dumbfounded. This guy was routing a dozen men all by himself?

While they were still debating whether to carry out their mission or rely on their instinct to flee, Zhang Yun had already cut down the last man and was charging furiously toward them!

Taking down dozens of armed men all by himself? Just what kind of monstrous badass was he?
