The Fantastic Little Farmer

Chapter 192: Chapter 192: Surrounded

”Don’t move!”

Just as Zhang Yun was waiting for the three people to appear, a blade pressed against his back.

”We know you have a gun. Before you can even pull the trigger, you’ll be skewered!”

He heard it clearly—it was the voice of the bearded man from earlier!

Then Zhang Yun saw them. Three men approached from the front, their footsteps intentionally loud to draw his attention, while the bearded man ambushed him from behind! The bearded man gestured for Zhang Yun to step forward. The three men in front drew their daggers, completely surrounding him.

”Did you think you were being smart? Using the Blood Demon Blade as bait to lure me into a trap and kill me?” The bearded man looked at Zhang Yun with a mocking expression.

Zhang Yun felt helpless. Damn it, he still lacked Experience! He had come up with a trap, but the others had quickly seen through it and beaten him at his own game! It made sense. Since they could sense the Blood Demon Blade, there had to be a noticeable difference between it being stationary and it moving closer. With a little analysis, anyone could guess it was a trap.

”Who are you people?”

”Don’t move!” The bearded man stepped forward and snatched the gun from Zhang Yun’s hand, finally feeling relieved. He aimed the weapon at Zhang Yun and motioned for two of the men to search the vicinity for the Blood Demon Blade, while the third kept Zhang Yun at knifepoint.

”To let you die with a clear understanding, we are Disciples of the Donghuang Sect! You killed our martial—”

Zhang Yun interrupted, ”Wait a minute! I’ve heard of the Donghuang Bell. Isn’t that a legendary ancient artifact? You’re people of the Donghuang Bell?”

”Fuck! Did you drop out of school? You can’t even tell the difference between a ’Z’ and a ’Zh’ sound! We are the Donghuang Sect, ’Sect’ as in a faction!” the bearded man cursed angrily.

Zhang Yun looked puzzled. ”Are you sure? What did it sound like to you? Are you certain your pronunciation isn’t the problem? Do you think his pronunciation is standard?”

The last question was directed at the Donghuang Sect Disciple holding the knife beside him.

The man froze. In the middle of a tense standoff, suddenly discussing phonetics felt completely baffling. Being unexpectedly asked who had the standard pronunciation totally short-circuited his brain.

At that exact moment, Zhang Yun grabbed the man’s arm, yanked him forward, and shoved him directly into the bearded man’s line of fire!

”Fuck!” The bearded man was furious. The kid had deliberately spouted nonsense to distract them! They were so close. With his own man suddenly blocking the gun barrel, he couldn’t fire and instinctively tried to step aside.

Zhang Yun’s pull, drag, and push were executed in one fluid motion. Immediately after, he delivered a vicious kick to the Disciple’s back! The sudden momentum sent the man crashing into the bearded man, completely entangling him.

Where did he go? Before the bearded man could even shove his subordinate off, he realized Zhang Yun had vanished from behind him!

”Catch him! Don’t let him escape!”

He had barely shouted this when he felt a sudden sense of disorientation... Wasn’t Zhang Yun right in front of him? Separated only by the man between them, less than a meter away. The bearded man silently praised his own brilliant decision to disarm Zhang Yun early on; otherwise, he would be in deep trouble right now!

”Get off!” he roared, shoving his fellow Disciple—who was pressing against him—back toward Zhang Yun! As long as he could pin Zhang Yun down for a second or two, he could widen the gap, and then it would be an all-out assault with guns and blades! The other two were already rushing back! It would still be like shooting fish in a barrel!

”ARGH!”

However, his push was met with a miserable shriek, and an instant later, the bearded man felt a sharp, agonizing pain in his own body!

During that brief moment of disorientation, Zhang Yun had indeed vanished. He had entered his Personal Space to retrieve Yang Zhao’s sword. He was getting so proficient at it now that to an observer, it just looked like a trick of the light. Maintaining his posture and position, he thrust the longsword forward!

By shoving the Disciple, the bearded man impaled the man on the longsword, driving the blade straight through him and directly into his own body! With his vision blocked, the bearded man hadn’t even attempted to dodge. By the time he realized what was happening, the sword was already buried in his abdomen.

He couldn’t wrap his head around it. Zhang Yun had only been holding a gun, which he had already confiscated. Where could he possibly hide such a long sword? The rest of them were only armed with short daggers and knives! Did the kid hide it in his pants? But he hadn’t even seen him draw it!

Zhang Yun forcefully pressed forward. With the impaled Disciple sandwiched between them, he drove the bearded man straight into the rock wall behind him!

”Chop him to death!” the bearded man bellowed in a frenzy.

With a person skewered in front of him, he couldn’t attack Zhang Yun, and with his back pinned against the rock, he had nowhere to retreat. And the bastard Zhang Yun seemed to be twisting the sword! While roaring, the bearded man extended his gun over the shoulder of the man in front of him, but...

The moment he brought it out, before he could even aim, Zhang Yun snatched the gun right out of his hand!

Zhang Yun’s series of attacks had been executed seamlessly. He was both nervous and pumped with adrenaline. But now, with the gun back in his possession, he felt much more secure.

The two Disciples who had gone to search for the Blood Demon Blade rushed over, only to see Zhang Yun turn the gun on them. They immediately froze in their tracks. The space was cramped, surrounded by large boulders that made running or dodging incredibly difficult. A random shot would easily hit them!

”I won’t say it twice. Drop your knives!”

Terrified, the two Donghuang Sect Disciples didn’t dare disobey. They quickly tossed their blades aside.

”The Blood Demon Blade is over there, bring it to me! You, get on your knees!”

Under Zhang Yun’s orders, one of them went to the crevice in the rocks and retrieved the Blood Demon Blade, while the other dropped to his knees.

”Throw it here!”

Seeing that the Blood Demon Blade had been retrieved, the bearded man immediately let out a loud shout! He quickly grabbed the sword that was stabbing him, allowing the blade to slice his palm open, and raised his bleeding hand, waiting to catch the Blood Demon Blade.

The Disciple stared at the unlocked handgun. At a distance of barely a meter, it could easily blow his brains out! In sheer terror, he ignored the bearded man’s command. Pinching the tip of the blade, he handed the Blood Demon Blade over to Zhang Yun.

”You two useless pieces of trash!”

The bearded man cursed furiously. With a violent roar, he shoved the man in front of him, trying to crash him into Zhang Yun! If he couldn’t hurt Zhang Yun before, pushing an impaled man certainly wouldn’t do any damage now. But he needed to buy time!

This shove not only caused the Disciple in front to scream, but the bearded man also cried out in agony. Shoving him away meant forcibly pulling the sword out of his own body!

Hold on! Blood gushed out, accompanied by excruciating pain, but he had to endure it! He had to succeed in a single counterattack!

His shout just now was also a signal to the two useless trashes in front of him, commanding them to attack Zhang Yun together!

But Zhang Yun didn’t even turn his head. Keeping his gun trained on the two men, he delivered a devastating backward kick!

What room for resistance did the impaled Donghuang Sect Disciple have left? No matter where Zhang Yun kicked him, the sheer force sent him flying backward... As a result... the man the bearded man had just pushed away came flying back at an even faster speed.

”ARGH!”

This scream was filled with absolute despair!

Another stab!

When the pushed man was kicked back, it was impossible for them to align perfectly. This time, the sword pierced right beside the original wound, creating a brand new hole!

”Old Qi! What are you waiting for! Shoot!” the bearded man bellowed.
