The Fantastic Little Farmer

Chapter 187: Chapter 187: Make Her Take the Fall

Ouyang Mingruo arrived with a complicated state of mind. She was worried that Zhang Yun might be injured, and equally afraid that he would refuse to see her. However, the situation far exceeded her expectations—there were actually two young women in his room!

Following her previous suspicions, this would mean Zhang Yun was just an old womanizer who never forgot to look for women wherever he went. But after learning the truth from Coco, Ouyang Mingruo no longer believed that. She even suspected that Zhang Yun had guessed she was coming and set this up on purpose!

Why else would Zhang Yun rush over at noon and eliminate Liu Yandao? Was it just because he was bored?

Of course not; it was for her! This was ironclad proof of his love!

After they met, whether it was the presence of those two women, the way he spoke, or his deliberate emphasis on his lip being bitten by a woman—in Mingruo’s eyes, all of these were intentional acts meant to push her away!

For someone born with a silver spoon in her mouth like Ouyang Mingruo, men had always tried their hardest to please her. They would flock to her side just for a chance to court her and secure a bright future for themselves.

Yet, Zhang Yun had constantly resisted her. While his past behavior could have been interpreted as playing hard to get, by now, she was absolutely certain that he loved her. That was the only reason he would risk his life for her time and time again.

The more he distanced himself now, the more it proved his love! He definitely felt that his poor family background made him unworthy of her, which was why he was trying to leave her.

As these thoughts flooded Mingruo’s mind, she felt incredibly moved and thrilled. When they were in the elevator with no one else around, she boldly leaned in and kissed him!

His stunned reaction, the shy blush on his face, and the way his hand trembled when he held hers... Everything served as proof to Mingruo that Zhang Yun loved her deeply!

Because of this, she was extremely happy. Since she had figured out his true feelings and expressed her own, she decided not to put any more pressure on him. She didn’t even talk much about the matters concerning the Ouyang Family and the Liu Family before quickly taking her leave.

She didn’t demand that Zhang Yun return to her place, either. She simply told him that if he stayed to have fun, he could reach out to her, and if he wanted to head home, he should just let her know.

After she left, Zhang Yun sat alone in the coffee shop, staring blankly for quite a while.

He wondered, ”What exactly did she mean by that? How did her attitude change so fast?

”Besides, what does she even want from me? Is it just because I’m handsome?

”It’s not my fault I’m this good-looking!”

Reflecting on the serious matters at hand, Ouyang Qilin must have sent out a signal before his death last night. Since Liu Yandao was his ally and partner, it was only natural for him to mount a comprehensive response.

However, taking out Liu Yandao today was largely due to Zhang Yun’s intervention; even the Liu Family wouldn’t have had time to react. Meanwhile, Ouyang Kunpeng had already taken action. If he couldn’t handle the aftermath well, he wouldn’t deserve his position as the patriarch of the Ouyang Clan.

Zhang Yun no longer needed to act as Ouyang Mingruo’s personal bodyguard. Her residence was already heavily guarded, and Ouyang Kunpeng would undoubtedly beef up the security even further.

He decided to stay for the night and just head home tomorrow.

Only then did Zhang Yun have the free time to observe the coffee shop. He really couldn’t escape this place; he had failed to come here earlier, but ended up back here anyway. He ordered a few ready-made pastries and headed upstairs after finishing them.

Zhang Yun kept a smile on his face as he opened his hotel room door. While taking a shower earlier, he had already beaten his ”little brother” into submission, so he didn’t have to worry about getting aroused by the women’s teasing anymore.

”I’m back,” he announced.

”Sister Xiaoyun has decided to go home with me right now,” Feng Ru said, getting straight to the point.

”Huh? Didn’t you say your toilet is broken?” Zhang Yun asked deliberately.

Feng Ru rolled her eyes. ”First some random woman came looking for you, then another one. Heaven knows if more will show up. What if we get beaten up again...”

”I doubt it. Oh, right! Could that person you mentioned... have heard you call me Zhang Yun outside the elevator, followed you here, and pretended to be my friend? Check if you’re missing anything right now. What if she was a thief?!”

Zhang Yun felt absolutely zero psychological burden framing Qi Luo as a thief. How advanced could a killer be, anyway?

”You don’t think so, do you?” Yang Xiaoyun and Feng Ru were taken aback.

Zhang Yun shrugged. ”I haven’t posted any location tags on my Friends Circle. Who would know I’m here? Besides, with you two beautiful women keeping me company, I’d have to have lost my mind to tell other women.”

Hearing this, the two women found it reasonable. If that woman was truly his girlfriend or a fling, there was no reason for Zhang Yun to invite her over to catch him in the act.

”Not necessarily! Maybe she tracked your phone’s location?” Feng Ru countered. ”That second woman managed to find this place just fine, didn’t she?”

Zhang Yun shook his head. ”That’s different. Miss Ouyang is a very important figure. It wouldn’t be a problem for her to find out exactly where I’m staying, right down to the room number. Did that first woman ring the doorbell to get in as well?”

A look of realization dawned on Yang Xiaoyun’s face. ”No wonder! She kept her head down the whole time. After you left, she followed us into the elevator without pressing a floor button. She just trailed behind us to the door and mentioned your name...”

”Now that you mention it, that’s exactly what happened. We were tricked! Let’s quickly see if anything is missing!” Feng Ru also fell for his story.

Yang Xiaoyun took a look around. Her suitcase didn’t seem to have been opened, and she hadn’t brought any valuables anyway. The only things she had bought earlier were underwear, and none of it was missing.

”Strange. She didn’t take off our jewelry, she didn’t steal our phones, and she didn’t transfer any of our money. So what was her goal in knocking us out?” Yang Xiaoyun was utterly baffled.

Feng Ru’s expression turned a bit strange. ”When I woke up earlier... I felt like my underwear was fitting weirdly, as if it had been tampered with. I didn’t want to bring it up in front of Miss Ouyang...”

Yang Xiaoyun looked slightly embarrassed and whispered, ”I felt the same way...”

Zhang Yun instantly felt incredibly awkward. Just as he feared! He was a man with no experience, after all. Even though he had carefully dressed them, something was bound to feel off. He might not have adjusted their breasts properly in their cups, or their panties might have been riding up... the wearers would notice immediately.

”What more can I say?” Zhang Yun spread his hands.

Yang Xiaoyun smiled sheepishly. ”We’re not asking you to prove your innocence.”

”It couldn’t have been you. You wouldn’t even dare touch us if we let you! We probably ran into a female pervert! She must have knocked us out, groped us, and then run off.” Feng Ru sounded somewhat indignant. To think they had been molested by a female pervert!

Yang Xiaoyun frowned in slight concern. ”As long as it wasn’t someone sent by that idiot Tang Zhiwei. Otherwise, they might have taken photos or something...”

”Don’t worry, Tang Zhiwei is in the hospital. He’s too busy looking after himself to dare cause us any trouble,” Feng Ru assured her, before turning to Zhang Yun. ”Just look at yourself. You’re not even as bold as a female pervert!”

”...” Zhang Yun didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Was he making Qi Luo take the blame for this? Wait, no... She was the one who had stripped them naked in the first place. Who knows if she had felt them up? She really was a female pervert!

Zhang Yun said seriously, ”It’s fine now. Since the toilet still needs fixing, you guys shouldn’t go back. If you’re worried, I’ll book another room for you two, and I’ll stay here...”

He thought to himself, ”I’m already prepared to face the test, and now you want to leave? If nothing else, He Xiong will think I’m too weak and couldn’t handle you both...”

”Then we’ll stay. You don’t need to book another room. You have to stay here and protect us!”

Zhang Yun immediately nodded. ”No problem! Since you trust me enough not to try anything funny, I’ll definitely protect you both.”

”Tch! We’re only afraid that you *won’t* try anything. You’re just setting up a persona to give yourself excuses! If you have the guts, try something with Sister Xiaoyun! I can even give you live commentary on the spot!”

”...” Both Zhang Yun and Yang Xiaoyun were rendered speechless.

”By the way... Yun, you’re acting so calm. Did you do something naughty while you were taking a shower just now?”

”...”
