Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 595: Chapter 638: Resolving Past Grievances

Although she still can’t forgive Xue Rong’s actions, none of that matters anymore!

Xue Rong’s series of wrongdoings were largely due to her twisted mindset stemming from long-term lack of love!

Fortunately, she completely repented and acknowledged her mistakes before doing anything irreparable, so it’s not too late!

Seeing Ye Anxin from beginning to end not giving him an answer, Nan Mingchuan couldn’t help but say again, ”Anxin, please promise me! The Nan Family is now dwindling in numbers; Sisi is dead, Jianning refuses to return from abroad, and I’m getting old and my health is failing, I can’t manage the company anymore! You are the only daughter of the Nan Family, and I sincerely hope you can acknowledge your lineage and take over the company, so I can peacefully accompany your aunt abroad and live our own lives!”

Ye Anxin worriedly said, ”But... but I don’t understand anything! Moreover, I’m in Jin City, this is Du City, and I’m pregnant, how can I manage the company?”

Nan Mingchuan comforted, ”No worries! Nanshang Group has senior management at every level, in every department. The president of the main company doesn’t need to manage all departments, just needs to review major projects, or make a monthly summary at the end of the month for you to look over!”

Ye Anxin still uneasily said, ”I wouldn’t know how to look at a summary! I don’t understand Nanshang Group’s operations at all, and my personality isn’t suitable for managing a company!”

Actually, acknowledging her lineage isn’t too challenging a task! After all, she refused to return to the Nan Family because of the complex relationship between Xue Rong, Jianning, and her mother! She knew Xue Rong was resistant to her, and her mother feared her leaving!

But now, all issues have been resolved! Xue Rong is leaving Du City for abroad, Jianning is disheartened and refuses to return! Even if she acknowledges her lineage, she won’t be separated from her mother, so whether she acknowledges Nan Mingchuan didn’t really matter.

But... going to manage a large group like Nanshang Group, just thinking about it seems unbelievable!

Nan Mingchuan continued, ”However, at this point, there’s no other way! If you don’t take over Nanshang Group, should we wait until my passing to hand Nanshang Group to someone else for nothing?”

”...!” Ye Anxin bit her lip, falling into a dilemma!

At this moment, Xue Rong spoke up, ”Ye Anxin, though you can’t manage a company, Mu Beiting can! He’s your husband, he can teach you. If you’re unwilling to learn, letting him manage Nanshang Group is also viable! Anyway, with his strong capability, taking over one more Nanshang Group isn’t a problem!”

As soon as these words came out, they received Nan Mingchuan’s approval immediately, ”Your aunt is right! As long as President Mu is here, he will certainly manage Nanshang Group perfectly!”

Yet Mu Beiting remained silent, his delicate thin lips pressed into a line, forming a charming arc!

Ye Anxin looked at Mu Beiting, worriedly said, ”Uncle is already so busy, if he has to manage another Nanshang Group, I’m afraid his health will suffer!”

Nan Mingchuan persisted with kind persuasion, ”Mu Group is a big enterprise, whereas President Mu has his own private businesses outside. He made Mu Group so successful, which shows his strength and ability. Besides, he has a competent assistant, Pete; you should trust his capability!”

”I...!” Just as Ye Anxin was hesitating, Mu Beiting directly spoke, ”Alright, I agree with you!”

Mu Beiting’s words visibly made Nan Mingchuan sigh in relief!

”Uncle!” Ye Anxin looked gratefully at Mu Beiting.

Mu Beiting reaffirmed, ”Since you’re not afraid I’ll merge Nanshang Group, then I promise you!”

”No, I know with President Mu’s feelings towards Anxin, he wouldn’t do anything to harm her!” Nan Mingchuan affirmed, a glint of scheming flashing in his eyes!

Upon hearing this, the curve of Mu Beiting’s lips widened, a hint of mockery appearing in his eyes!

Catching Mu Beiting’s expression, Pete understood instantly, gesturing to the two bodyguards holding Xue Rong, ”Let her go!”

The bodyguards obeyed, releasing Xue Rong!

Nan Mingchuan turned to Ye Anxin again, ”Anxin, since President Mu has no objections, you should agree!”

Ye Anxin hesitated, biting her lip, considering the current situation, and had no choice but to nod in agreement!

Now that things have reached this point, having father take Xue Rong away seems the best solution! If they continue to stay in Du City, who knows what changes might occur later; she fears today’s incident might happen again!

Rather than this, it might be better for father to take Xue Rong to find Jianning, and the three of them live a simple and happy life!

Seeing Ye Anxin finally agree, Nan Mingchuan showed excitement and said, ”Great! Once my health recovers, I’ll start preparing for you to acknowledge your lineage! Then formally hand over Nanshang Group to you! By then, your aunt and I can peacefully leave here and live the life we want!”

He hadn’t anticipated that what happened this time would fulfill his long-held wish!

From the moment he knew Ye Anxin was his daughter, he always hoped to hand Nanshang Group over to her!

Though she had no experience and couldn’t manage, her husband is Mu Beiting, and as long as Mu Beiting is around, he determined to believe that Nanshang Group would grow bigger and bigger!

Considering Mu Beiting’s importance to Ye Anxin, he definitely wouldn’t acquire or merge Nanshang Group! Nanshang Group still belongs to the Nan Family; he’s merely borrowing Mu Beiting’s hand to make Nanshang Group thrive!

”Alright!” Ye Anxin didn’t think much of the intricate details here and nodded in agreement!

At this time, one of the bodyguards standing at the door walked in, said to Pete, ”There’s a doctor in a white coat outside who says he came because you called him!”

Pete nodded, ”Let him in!”

Pete instructed the bodyguards in the room, ”Support Mr. Nan upstairs to rest, let the doctor go up and treat him!”

”Yes!” The bodyguards obeyed, those who had supported Nan Mingchuan downstairs now helped carry him upstairs! Xue Rong quickly followed to provide care!

Seeing their relationship thaw, Xue Rong showing nervous concern, Ye Anxin nodded in comfort!

Nan Mingchuan had gone upstairs, Xue Rong followed, and after the doctor was brought in they too went upstairs, while the servant who had just pointed out Xue Rong knelt in the hall, looking at Ye Anxin, then at Mu Beiting, and finally at Pete, completely confused!

Ye Anxin looked at him, helplessly said, ”Alright, this matter isn’t your fault; we’ll overlook it this time, you can go down!”

”Thank you, Miss, thank you, Miss!” The servant was also astute; after hearing Nan Mingchuan’s earlier words, he realized Ye Anxin’s identity and immediately changed his address!
