Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 561: Chapter 604: Missed You!

Seeing that Mu Beiting not only wasn’t angry like Xiao Bai, but also understandingly let her eat, Ye Anxin’s eyes turned red, and she said emotionally, ”Uncle, you don’t blame me?”

Mu Beiting raised an eyebrow and said as if it was a matter of course, ”Why should I blame you? If you don’t care about your mom, then you’re not the Ye Anxin I fell for!”

Ye Anxin smiled softly, ”Uncle, thank you for your understanding!”

”Wash your hands and eat!” Mu Beiting said nothing more. He took Ye Anxin’s hand, led her to the bathroom, turned on the faucet, and very seriously washed her soft hands clean under the running water. Then he took a dry towel hanging nearby, dried her hands, and led her out of the bathroom.

When Mu Beiting and Ye Anxin walked out of the bathroom, Xiao Bai was already sitting obediently in his seat.

Ye Anxin sat down next to him, ruffled his hair, and asked with a smile, ”Xiao Bai, mommy hasn’t been with you for more than a month, are you mad at mommy?”

She wouldn’t forget how puffy and upset Xiao Bai’s face looked when she came in earlier.

This little guy must be holding a grudge against her now.

”Hmph...!” Xiao Bai snorted coldly and turned his head away from her.

Ye Anxin pursed her lips, pretending to be aggrieved and said, ”Xiao Bai, are you really planning to ignore mommy from now on? If you do this, mommy will be really sad!”

Xiao Bai said sourly, ”Hmph! Do you even feel sad? I thought you only had grandma in your heart and no room for me at all!”

Feeling the jealousy in his words, Ye Anxin quickly consoled, ”How could that be! Xiao Bai is so important to mommy! Look, as soon as I finished dealing with grandma’s matters, I rushed back to have dinner with you!”

”Hmph...!” No matter how Ye Anxin coaxed him, Xiao Bai just kept on snorting coldly!

Ye Anxin pretended to be sad and asked, ”Xiao Bai, are you really mad at mommy? Really planning to ignore me from now on?”

”Hmph...!” Xiao Bai still snorted coldly and turned his head away.

This time, Ye Anxin was completely out of ideas!

No matter how angry Xiao Bai was in the past, he would always voice his discontent. This was the first time that no matter how much she asked, he wouldn’t say a word!

Mu Beiting, who had been sitting on the side, couldn’t stand it anymore and voiced reassurance, ”Ignore him! He’s not mad at you; he misses you!”

”Hmph...!” Even facing Mu Beiting’s words, Xiao Bai still snorted coldly and turned his head away from them.

After Mu Beiting spoke, Ye Anxin suddenly realized!

How could she forget that her son was just shy and thin-skinned! He missed her but was too bashful to express it, so he vented his longing in this way to grab her attention.

This silent romantic personality is just like his dad, Mu Beiting.

Having thought it through, Ye Anxin immediately smiled, ruffling Xiao Bai’s hair, and softly said, ”Xiao Bai, don’t worry, everything with grandma has been taken care of. I won’t go to grandma’s house tomorrow; I’ll stay home and keep you company, okay?”

Upon hearing Ye Anxin’s words, Xiao Bai indeed turned his head, full of expectation, and asked, ”Is what you said true? You’re not lying to me?”

Ye Anxin nodded, promising, ”Of course! I’ve already missed more than a month with Xiao Bai because of grandma. I’ve been feeling guilty myself! During this time, while you’ve been missing mommy, mommy has been missing you too! So, I’m not going anywhere these days, I’ll be home with you every day!”

On hearing this, Xiao Bai’s eyes lit up with excitement, ”It’s a deal! You can’t go anywhere these days, you can only stay by my side!”

Ye Anxin smiled and said, ”It’s a deal! Since I’ve promised you, you’re not mad anymore, right? Let’s eat properly! Before bed tonight, mommy will tell you a story, alright?”

”Mm!” With Ye Anxin’s assurance, Xiao Bai was immediately in a good mood, holding his bowl and chopsticks and eating with all his might.

Watching Xiao Bai’s elegant eating manner, Ye Anxin shook her head helplessly.

Kids will always be kids, so easy to please, cheering up with just a few words!

However, indeed, she had too much to deal with recently, neglecting Xiao Bai and Uncle! She really should make up for it, spend more time with them.

After dealing with Ye Mother’s incident, Ye Anxin completely forgot about the hospital events, and her appetite, previously affected by the fox terrier, finally returned.

After dinner, Ye Anxin took a stroll in the garden with Xiao Bai and Mu Beiting.

Since Ye Mother’s incident, Ye Anxin would almost always leave early and return late. In the morning before Xiao Bai and Mu Beiting even finished their run or conversation, she would already be out the door. When she came back at night, it would be eight or nine o’clock; Mu Beiting would be working in the study, and Xiao Bai would’ve bathed and gone to sleep.

Therefore, for a long time, she hadn’t had breakfast or dinner with them, let alone the three of them strolling in the garden together like they used to.

Not only Ye Anxin felt it; even Xiao Bai had the same feeling!

Holding Ye Anxin’s hand as they walked in the garden, he suddenly said, ”Mommy, it feels like you haven’t been by my side like this in a long time!”

Ye Anxin helplessly responded, ”Yeah! Although it’s only been a little over a month, it feels like such a long time!”

”Mommy, I haven’t seen you for over a month, and your belly has gotten so big!” he said, reaching out to touch Ye Anxin’s belly but hesitated to really touch it.

Ye Anxin smiled softly, grabbed Xiao Bai’s wrist, and placed his slender hand on her protruding belly.

The little one in her belly seemed to sense it. The moment Xiao Bai’s hand touched Ye Anxin’s belly, the little one inside kicked twice strongly! These kicks landed right on Xiao Bai’s palm, catching him off guard and leaving him momentarily stunned.

Seeing Xiao Bai’s dumbfounded look, Ye Anxin laughed and said, ”Xiao Bai, did you feel it? Your little sister is kicking you!”

Xiao Bai nodded vigorously, excitedly saying, ”I felt it! She’s so mischievous, and she’s strong!”

Ye Anxin turned to look at Mu Beiting, squinting her eyes with a smile, and asked, ”Uncle, do you want to feel your daughter? The little one has been very active lately!”

Mu Beiting remained silent for a moment. His hand beside him twitched, hesitating to reach out.

Knowing he was feeling shy, Ye Anxin took his hand, placing his big hand on her belly.

The result was the same. The moment Mu Beiting’s hand touched her belly, the little one inside kicked twice forcefully!

Ye Anxin laughed and asked, ”Uncle, isn’t she mischievous?”

”Mm!” Mu Beiting nodded stiffly, his hand resting gently on Ye Anxin’s belly, unwilling to move.

Xiao Bai looked up, innocently blinking at Ye Anxin, curiously asking, ”Mommy, how do you know it’s definitely a sister? What if it’s a little brother?”
