Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 586: Chapter 629: Humble and Submissive

”Alright!” Qin Muyao quickly hooked her arm around Mo Xuehong’s, holding an umbrella, and returned to the rented apartment with her!

Back at the rented apartment, the first thing Mo Xuehong did was take off the clothes that were almost dried by her body heat, put on a robe, and while filling the bathtub with hot water, she drank a cup of hot tea!

After drinking a cup of hot tea and soaking in a hot bath, Mo Xuehong finally felt that her body was back to normal!

While Mo Xuehong was bathing, Qin Muyao busily prepared her bed, and once she came out of the bathroom, she invited her to lie down warmly!

Once Mo Xuehong was in bed and covered with the quilt, Qin Muyao brought her a bowl of hot congee she had prepared earlier!

Mo Xuehong sat up, and with a bowl of hot congee in her stomach, she finally had a bit of strength to speak, ”Mu Beiting is too ruthless! No matter what, I’m his biological mother, carried him for ten months, and he dares to treat me like this!”

Qin Muyao sat by the bedside, puzzled, ”Mom, what exactly happened? Didn’t you say Mu Beiting would definitely acknowledge you and take you back? How did you end up locked outside all night?”

”Ah... it’s really a long story!” Mo Xuehong sighed, then recounted everything that had happened from last night to tonight in detail. As she listened, Qin Muyao’s expression grew increasingly sour!

Mo Xuehong said angrily, ”I really didn’t expect him to care so much about that woman, Ye Anxin! What’s so good about her? She’s so plain, you can find a dozen like her on any street! Yet, he treats her like a treasure! Just because I hit her once? He had me thrown out, locked out for an entire night! It was raining so hard just now, and he didn’t even bother to come see me or let someone bring me in to avoid the rain! I’m so furious I could die!”

Qin Muyao frowned, disappointed, ”Mom, you really went too far! No matter what, Ye Anxin is your daughter-in-law; how could you treat her like that? Besides, I told you long ago, even if you dislike someone, you can’t show it! We’re seeking help from my brother this time, and by acting so arrogantly, how do you expect him to accept us?”

Mo Xuehong’s eyes flickered with guilt, ”I... I didn’t know that after twenty-five years, Mu Beiting would become a completely different person! He used to obey me completely, never fought back or talked back, but now he kicks me out!”

Upon hearing this, Qin Muyao sighed helplessly, ”Mom, we need something from him. By acting like this, you’ll only make him more disgusted with us! With his current power in Jin City, if he doesn’t want to help, we’re utterly powerless!”

Mo Xuehong said bitterly, ”What should we do then? Did I ruin everything?”

Qin Muyao said angrily, ”I previously suggested you send gifts to Xiao Bai for a month to win him over, then use him to get close to my brother! Although he never accepted our gifts, at least the start was promising! But now, thanks to your scene last night, all our previous efforts are wasted! My brother will certainly hate you more now! Forget about saving me; we can’t even get near him anymore!”

”I... I...!” Mo Xuehong realized just how ridiculous her actions were the night before after Qin Muyao’s reprimand!

Originally, she hoped Mu Beiting would save her precious daughter! But after her high-handed interruption last night, Mu Beiting wouldn’t save anyone; he’d probably hate her!

Qin Muyao lowered her eyes, thoughtfully considering for a moment before slowly saying, ”Someone as haughty as my brother won’t respond to force. If we approach him aggressively, it will only backfire! Now, the only way is to be soft! First, earn his sympathy, step by step gaining his trust, and then wait for the right moment!”

Mo Xuehong nervously gripped Qin Muyao’s hand, worriedly saying, ”How long will that take? Can your body hold out? Mom worries you won’t make it until then!”

Qin Muyao gently patted Mo Xuehong’s hand, reassuring her, ”Mom, don’t worry! It won’t be long! After all, you two are mother and son; blood is thicker than water! No matter what you’ve done, in his heart, you are his only mother, and he shares your blood. That’s an unchangeable fact! Therefore, our immediate task is to humble ourselves and beg my brother, let him see how hard your life is now, repent for your past shortcomings towards him! Generally speaking, no child can endure seeing their biological mother in such misery! Besides, even if my brother remains unmoved, there’s still Ye Anxin, right? She’s always been soft-hearted. If my brother can’t be persuaded, then we’ll appeal to her! Let her speak positively of you in front of my brother! With her help, aren’t we bound to succeed?”

Mo Xuehong agreed with the former but quickly objected to the latter, ”Humble myself to Ye Anxin? Who is she? Does she even qualify?”

”Mom, regardless of whether she qualifies or not, you can’t deny that she’s irreplaceable in my brother’s heart! Besides, seeking her help is only a last resort, isn’t it? Only after our approach to my brother fails do we turn to her! This is just temporary; it’s not like you have to endure her forever! Moreover, your goal is to gain my brother’s trust, and once he trusts you, Ye Anxin won’t matter! Then, you can manipulate my brother’s relationship with her, causing their relationship to break, and you won’t have to lower yourself to her anymore! No man is immune to manipulation!” Qin Muyao said, her eyes narrowing, a gleam of cunning flashing within.

Mo Xuehong, troubled, asked, ”Is this really the only way?”

Thinking about lowering herself to Ye Anxin, enduring humiliation, Mo Xuehong felt uncomfortable!

Who is Ye Anxin anyway? She is nothing! Why should I please her? Plead with her! Does she even have the qualification?

But, what her daughter said made sense. If Mu Beiting couldn’t be approached, she’d have to start with Ye Anxin!

”Mom, it’s our only option!” Qin Muyao said, suddenly her eyes reddened, and her previously cunning expression turned into one of vulnerability and pitifulness, ”Mom, you said you’d find a way to save me no matter what! I’m running out of time, watching each day pass, yet we’re still stuck in place! Right now, my brother is the only one who can save me. For your daughter’s sake, can’t you make a little sacrifice? Do you really want to see me die?” she said, tears falling as she spoke!

Seeing Qin Muyao cry, Mo Xuehong’s heart ached instantly, ”My dearest, don’t cry! I never said I wouldn’t go! I promise you, alright? I’ll humble myself and beg Mu Beiting! I am his biological mother; as long as I seek his forgiveness, he won’t resist!”
