Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 358: Chapter 358: Hidden Away

When Mu Beiting washed Ye Anxin’s wrist clean and came out of the washroom, Mu Huajian, who had been waiting outside, hurriedly walked over with an apologetic expression and said, ”Beiting, I’m sorry, don’t be angry. You know how your sister-in-law is. Since she’s already been taught a lesson, let’s forget it. I’ve ordered the kitchen to prepare some food. Let’s sit in the living room for a bit!”

At this moment, Mu Mother struggled up from the floor, clutching the abdomen that Mu Beiting had kicked, and walked to the washroom door. Her eyes fixated on Ye Anxin’s belly, her teeth grinding with a ghastly creak!

Seeing Mu Mother’s expression, Mu Huajian’s face changed, and he forcefully pushed her aside, smiling ingratiatingly at Mu Beiting, ”Let’s sit in the living room for a bit! With me here today, I won’t let you suffer any grievances!”

Watching Mu Huajian’s constant flattering and pleading words, Ye Anxin suddenly felt a bit uncomfortable in her heart!

Once upon a time, the always high and mighty old master of the Mu Family would also be so humble and cautious!

This shows how much he longed for the forgiveness and understanding of this younger son!

Truly unable to bear seeing Mu Huajian being so humble any longer, Ye Anxin shook Mu Beiting’s arm, ”Uncle, let’s go sit for a bit!”

”Mm!” Mu Beiting nodded, holding Ye Anxin’s hand and leading her to sit on the sofa properly!

Mu Huajian immediately sat down on the sofa beside them!

And Mu Mother stood beside the sofa, her eyes never leaving Ye Anxin’s belly!

She hated it, she was unwilling!

Why? Why? Her grandson was gone, and Ye Anxin was now pregnant?

A woman abandoned and unwanted by her son, why does she now live so glamorously?

Looking at Ye Anxin’s bulging belly, she thought of that grandson who had already formed! Just like that, he was alive and kicked away by Mu Beiting!

Why was her grandson gone, while Ye Anxin and Mu Beiting’s child could be born smoothly?

No... she doesn’t allow it... absolutely doesn’t allow it!

Mu Mother’s hands clenched into fists, her eyes flashing with a vicious light, teeth tightly clenched. Only this way could she restrain the impulse to rush forward and strangle Ye Anxin!

Mu Huajian looked at Ye Anxin and Mu Beiting sitting on the sofa beside him, carefully asked, ”Anxin! I’m really glad you could come today! I originally thought my wish would fall through, unexpectedly you gave me a pleasant surprise! Thank you, thank you! Without you, Beiting wouldn’t have come today!”

Ye Anxin sheepishly scratched her head, ”Old Master, actually this matter has nothing to do with me! I only told Uncle, and the final decision was still up to him!”

Mu Huajian sincerely said, ”Regardless of the situation, in summary, I have to thank you! Today will definitely be the happiest day I’ve had in so many years!”

”Hehe!” Ye Anxin chuckled, not adept at polite small talk, not knowing how to respond, could only change the topic, ”Old Master, did you receive the birthday gift Uncle bought for you? Do you like it?”

At these words, Mu Mother’s face instantly changed!

Mu Huajian was taken aback, puzzled, asked, ”Birthday gift? No! What kind of birthday gift?”

”Nothing? It’s a birthday gift Uncle personally bought for you! We said it would be delivered promptly at eight o’clock this morning! Hold on, I’ll call them to see what’s going on!” Saying this, she took out her phone, found the health product shop’s number, and dialed!

The phone was answered immediately after ringing twice!

Ye Anxin politely and patiently asked, ”Hello, I’m inquiring why the health products we purchased two days ago haven’t been delivered? Our address is...!” Saying this, Ye Anxin reported the name and address!

After speaking, Ye Anxin didn’t say anything further, but listened carefully to the person on the phone!

Not knowing what the person on the phone said, Ye Anxin’s expression turned somewhat unpleasant!

After hanging up, Mu Huajian impatiently asked, ”How was it? What did they say?”

Ye Anxin somewhat puzzledly said, ”They said the gift was delivered at eight o’clock this morning!”

Upon hearing this, Mu Huajian’s face also changed, ”Butler, butler, come over here!”

The busy butler heard Mu Huajian’s call and hurriedly ran over!

Mu Huajian asked with a troubled face, ”I ask you, at eight o’clock this morning, was something delivered here?”

The butler nodded, truthfully said, ”Yes! Someone delivered something, saying it was a birthday gift for the Old Master!”

Mu Huajian asked again, ”Where is the item?”

The butler glanced at Mu Mother standing beside the sofa, explained, ”The item was taken away by Madam! She said she would take it to the Old Master!”

Hearing this, Ye Anxin and Mu Huajian both turned their gaze to Mu Mother!

Mu Mother’s expression stiffened, she forced a smile, ”Yes, yes, I remember such a thing happening, but I turned around and forgot! I’ll go get the item for you later!”

Mu Huajian coldly glanced at Mu Mother, though he said nothing, his heart was as clear as a mirror!

What forgetting, this was clearly deliberately hiding the birthday gift Mu Beiting sent him!

If Beiting and Anxin hadn’t come today, he would never know about this!

After the prison incident, truly she hasn’t learned a thing, her temper hasn’t calmed at all, if this continues, he can’t guarantee he won’t one day get angry and kick her out!

Mu Beiting coldly glanced at Mu Mother, lightly said, ”I don’t want anything she’s touched! Throw it away!”

Upon hearing this, Mu Mother’s face changed, angrily said, ”Mu Beiting, what do you mean?”

Mu Beiting, face unchanged, spat out two words, ”It’s dirty!”

”You...!” Hearing Mu Beiting’s words, Mu Mother just felt a sudden embarrassment!

Ye Anxin hurriedly laughed to smooth over the situation, ”Uncle, it’s alright, anyway, that gift is for the Old Master, leave everything to him to handle! Things sent out are like spilled water, we don’t care!”

Mu Beiting glanced at her, didn’t say anything!

Mu Huajian looked at Mu Beiting, emotionally said, ”Beiting, thank you! This year, you not only came but also sent me a birthday gift! I will definitely preserve it well!”

Mu Beiting’s thin lips pressed together, still didn’t respond!

Seeing Mu Beiting seemingly unwilling to continue the topic, Mu Huajian had no choice but to change the subject, ”Anxin! You have about three months left until the delivery! At that time, the child’s full moon feast must be celebrated grandly, invite relatives and friends for a lively occasion! Anyway, this is Beiting’s first child, definitely can’t be careless!”

Ye Anxin patted her belly, chuckled, ”As long as the child grows up safely, the full moon feast and such are not important!”
