Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

Facing the incoming sickle, Orion Cross casually raised his hand. The sickle struck the adamantium chain wrapped around his arm and bounced back.

”Why don’t you call your companion down, experience baby?”

Orion Cross’s gaze returned to Akali. After appreciating the toned lines at her waist for a moment, he spoke. If she had not appeared in time, Orion Cross had already been preparing to return directly after solving his appearance problem. If that happened, would he not have missed a once-in-a-lifetime non-main-world mission?

”He’s not my companion! And what did you just call me?”

Akali’s brows furrowed. She caught the sickle that bounced back, and her body gradually lowered like a predator preparing to hunt. Experience baby. She had never heard that term before, but it was clearly a contemptuous title.

Bang!

Akali smashed a smoke bomb onto the ground. Black mist gradually spread out, and her figure was concealed within it.

”There are more than three hundred pressure points on the human body. You can’t protect them all!”

Akali’s voice came from within the mist, but her figure still did not appear.

”Who do you think you are, Zabuza? Ninjutsu: My Home Is in the Capital?”

Orion Cross looked at the pitch-black mist around him and casually complained. Then he released the twin blades in his hands and loosened the chains.

Whoosh!

A shuriken brushed past the corner of Orion Cross’s forehead.

”Your Gate of Life is about to close.”

Another taunt came from the black mist.

”Fine.”

Orion Cross smiled helplessly. Then he suddenly swung the Blades of Chaos, and a sword aura that tore through space ripped open the darkness. Orion Cross saw her.

Bang!

”Ah!”

A cry of pain came from within the black mist. Orion Cross rushed straight over, dragged that figure out of the black mist, and threw her under a tree.

”It’s over. You can’t make Rasengan, and you can’t pilot a Gundam. You call yourself a ninja?”

Orion Cross tossed Akali, who was bound by the chains of the Blades of Chaos, beneath the tree and spoke with a faint smile.

”Hmph! Winners take all!”

Akali turned her head away and said no more. She understood the strength of the person before her. He was absolutely not someone she could fight against. Although she was unwilling, it seemed she would have to rely on that annoying old man again this time.

Ionian Series Mission Triggered: Within one hour, every Ionian champion defeated will randomly grant one related reward.

Already defeated: Akali, the Fist of Shadow and the Rogue Assassin. Reward obtained: Flying Thunder God Technique.

”Balance must not be broken, outsider.”

The black mist dispersed, and Shen, who had used ninjutsu to move beside Akali, appeared before Orion Cross.

”What is balance?”

Orion Cross’s gaze turned toward Akali as he asked.

”I don’t know, and I won’t tell you.”

Akali snorted coldly.

”You’re still this arrogant after being captured? Stop calling yourself the Rogue Assassin. Call yourself the Group-Quitter Assassin instead. It’s time for you to leave the group. How embarrassing.”

As Orion Cross laughed, he rubbed Akali’s head.

”You!”

Akali’s face beneath the mask turned bright red. Whether it was from shame or anger, no one knew.

”It seems you have no intention of repenting.”

Shen looked coldly at Orion Cross rubbing his junior sister’s head, but he showed no intention of rescuing Akali first. He directly removed the two blades from his back.

”Do you know? I come from another world.”

Orion Cross looked at Shen and suddenly spoke.

”So what? No one can break Ionia’s balance before my eyes.”

A trace of surprise flashed in Shen’s eyes beneath the mask, but he immediately regained his calm.

”What I mean is, in my world, there’s also someone who likes balance. His name is Thanos.”

”Little Thanny devoted himself to eliminating half the life in the universe to achieve cosmic balance.”

”When you compare the two, little Eye of Twilight, don’t you feel like your path of balance is just so-so?”

Orion Cross kept one hand on Akali’s head while looking at Shen and speaking.

According to records, Shen once passed through a haunted village and encountered ten people who called themselves saints helping villagers exorcise ghosts. Shen also joined in, preparing to eliminate the evil ghost harming people. But when he caught the evil ghost, he discovered that the man who called himself a saint was casting spells to kill a group of other spirits. In order to maintain balance, Shen released the evil ghost and killed the saint exorcist. So in a certain sense, the Eye of Twilight’s path of balance truly was similar to Thanos’s ideology, just several levels lower.

”Cosmic balance?”

Shen listened to Orion Cross’s words and fell into brief thought.

”The universe’s resources are limited, while life increases endlessly. That will only cause the universe to lose balance and eventually lead to the extinction of all life.”

Orion Cross continued rubbing Akali’s ”dog head” while explaining to Shen.

”He is right.”

After a moment of silence, Shen spoke.

”Old man, have you lost your mind? Don’t tell me you want to exterminate half the life in Ionia too?”

When Akali heard Shen’s words, she was immediately stunned and shouted loudly.

”Don’t worry. Think positively. Maybe he only wants half the life in Runeterra to disappear.”

Orion Cross patted Akali’s head and said with a smile.

Akali stared into Shen’s eyes behind the mask, gradually revealing a terrified expression. How was that possible? Shen had really been affected? Did he truly have thoughts like that?

”Thank you for enlightening me, but please return Ionia’s natural power.”

Shen bowed to Orion Cross. Then his eyes locked onto him, still refusing to back down.

”I refuse.”

Orion Cross glanced at Akali, withdrew the chains binding her, and took back the Blades of Chaos.

Shen watched Orion Cross’s movements and tightened his grip on the blades in both hands. ”The steel blade cuts man. The spirit blade cuts ghosts. I never thought there would come a day when I would use both at the same time.”

Of the blades in his hands, one was used to fight enemies of the material world, while the other was used to fight enemies of the spirit realm. And Orion Cross had obtained a large amount of natural energy from the spirit realm, turning himself into a Vastayashai’rei. That meant he existed in both the spirit and material realms at the same time.

”Big cat, thanks.”

After being released, Akali twisted her arms and spoke.

”Big cat...”

It would have been fine if she had not mentioned it, but the moment she did, Orion Cross immediately remembered his current appearance. He instantly lost the intention to probe any further and directly gripped the Blades of Chaos before flinging the blades toward Shen.

Silver light flashed, and two sword auras sliced straight through everything around them.

”Ninjutsu: Spirit’s Refuge!”

When Shen saw the silver sword aura, his heart tightened. He formed hand seals with both hands, and the spirit blade created a protective barrier in front of him. The sword aura cut through the spirit blade’s defense as easily as slicing paper, then severed the spirit blade itself.

This was Orion Cross’s strongest strike under the Vastayashai’rei ”Sage Mode.” Perhaps because Orion Cross’s hyperdimensional magic was spatial in nature, he had formed an inseparable connection with space, and this ability directly cut through space itself.

”Based on how it looks, it can be called True Silver Slash. Based on its ability, it can be named Subspace Rift Slash.”

Orion Cross touched his head and found that his ears had already disappeared. His mood immediately recovered. After all, he thought beast-eared girls were cute, but that did not mean he wanted to become one himself.
