Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

”Are these daggers? Short swords?”

Natasha leaned closer and observed the two weapons for a moment, then raised her head in confusion. ”Why is there such a long chain attached to the back?”

”To make mowing down enemies easier.”

Orion Cross picked up the twin Blades of Chaos and weighed their heft and feel in his hands. ”Looks like I have some fate with that bald guy Kratos. Now even our weapons are the same.”

Among whip-type weapons, these seemed to be the most suitable for Orion Cross. Chain swords would have worked too, but they were a little too feminine.

”Who’s Kratos?” Natasha asked in confusion.

”Someone from another world whose battle record is about the same as mine. But he had it much worse than I did,” Orion Cross explained.

After all, in this world, not only did he have the Ancient One as a comrade-in-arms, but he also had no relatives or friends. That meant the gods had no leverage over him, so he would not be toyed with like a chess piece the way Kratos had been.

”A battle record similar to yours? Then he must be terrifying.”

Natasha thought of Orion Cross’s file and sucked in a cold breath.

”That’s normal. Across all dimensions, bald people are terrifying creatures.”

After saying that, Orion Cross subconsciously touched his own head. After finding no signs of hair loss, he let out a breath of relief.

”Can you take me with you next time?”

When Natasha heard Orion Cross mention other dimensions, she could not help speaking.

”Take you with me next time for what?”

Orion Cross did not react for a moment and looked at Natasha in confusion.

”To another dimension, just like when you took Agent Coulson last time.”

Natasha looked at Orion Cross expectantly. Since even Coulson could go, then as someone who had already half-defected and was now one of his ”own people,” she should be able to go too, right?

Skye also whispered from the side.

”That’s fine. Actually, once you go there once, you won’t be so curious or yearn for it as much anymore. Other dimensions aren’t that different from here.”

Orion Cross smiled helplessly and nodded in agreement. The Marvel main world itself already had technology, magic, aliens, gods, and all kinds of other elements. That was why Orion Cross said this. If they wanted exotic scenery and culture, they could simply go to another country or another planet. For example, Ionia, the place Orion Cross was preparing to visit this time. If someone truly wanted to experience similar customs and landscapes, they could just stay at Kamar-Taj for two days, and that would be enough.

Still, since they wanted to go, he would take them once. If they did not personally witness dimensional travel at least once, no matter how much they heard from others, there would still be a trace of doubt deep in their hearts. Going once would also broaden their horizons.

”I wonder when I’ll end up using these here.”

Orion Cross glanced at the street outside. He knew very well that the destruction caused by Hulk and Abomination yesterday could only count as a small skirmish for this city. In a few years, aliens would invade on a massive scale.

”Get ready. I’ll take you there this afternoon.”

Orion Cross took a deep breath and spoke to Natasha and Skye. He was no longer alone now, so naturally, he could not act the way he had when he destroyed Olympus back then. At that time, the barefoot did not fear those wearing shoes. Relying on the power of the War Aspect and the immortal body granted by mortal will, even without the Ancient One’s help, he could have solved everything alone. So he needed more strength.

Destruction was always far easier than protection and creation.

”That urgent?”

Natasha froze. Earlier, she had thought the ”next time” Orion Cross referred to was an unknown point in the future. Yet now, it had already arrived?

”It’s just preparing for danger in times of peace.”

Orion Cross wrapped the chains of the Blades of Chaos around his arms and gripped the twin blades tightly.

”What kind of crisis could make even the mighty Godslayer so wary?”

Natasha’s expression gradually turned serious. Something even Orion Cross cared about was probably far more serious than what had happened yesterday.

”I’m not worried about my own safety. With just these twin blades, I could now be like that bald guy Kratos and wipe out the Norse gods as well.”

Orion Cross’s gaze remained on the Blades of Chaos, then he glanced at Natasha. ”What’s truly fragile is somewhere else.”

”Are you referring to us, or Earth?”

Natasha instantly understood what Orion Cross meant.

”Guess for yourself.”

”Remember, gather here at one in the afternoon. Miss it, and I won’t wait.”

After leaving those words behind, Orion Cross walked back into the house. At the same time, the Blades of Chaos in his hands slowly scattered, turning into points of starlight that returned to Orion Cross’s body.

Because the Blades of Chaos had fused several weapons, including the War Aspect’s weapons, the Holy and Demon Pistols, and the Ascended scepter, it meant that on the technological side, the material of the Blades of Chaos was the hardest adamantium. On the magical and mystical sides, they had also fused multiple powers, including celestial, demonic, and stellar power. Moreover, when Orion Cross released his War Aspect transformation, the power on the Blades of Chaos did not weaken in the slightest.

That meant Orion Cross had essentially turned a ”limited-time weapon” into a ”permanent weapon.” The same applied to the Holy and Demon Pistols. Orion Cross no longer needed to replenish ”ammunition” for the Blades of Chaos. The control power of the Ascended scepter also no longer required him to enter Ascended Mode to use it. In short, because of this fusion, his strength in his normal state had increased greatly.

That was also why Orion Cross had said earlier that, as long as he held the twin Blades of Chaos, he was now strong enough to destroy Asgard.

”Was he caring about us just now?”

”A walking catastrophe like him actually cares whether we live or die?”

After Orion Cross left, Natasha looked at Skye and Wanda with an expression of disbelief.

”That’s because you’re too weak and need someone else to protect you.”

When Wanda heard Natasha’s evaluation of Orion Cross, she immediately spoke with displeasure.

As a Level Ten agent, this was Natasha’s first time being called weak, and by a little girl whose real age was only ten at that. She immediately felt unconvinced.

”Weak? Little Wanda, your ability is indeed powerful, but your combat experience is still far too lacking.”

”If this were a real battlefield, I could easily take you down.”

Wanda nodded expressionlessly. ”Oh. You’re right.”

Then she directly ignored Natasha and returned inside the house as well.

”Boohoo...”

Seeing everyone enter the house, Skye suddenly felt a little sad. It seemed she was the only ordinary person right now, and she did not even have agent skills like Natasha.

”Take me down, huh...”

After returning to her bedroom, Wanda lay on the bed. A dark red glow flashed through her eyes, and a smile appeared at the corner of her mouth. When Natasha first came to their house a month ago, she had somehow been miraculously turned by Orion Cross that very same day. Even Natasha herself had found it strange. But only Orion Cross and Wanda knew that it was because Wanda had used illusions from the side to make Natasha truly experience the scenes Orion Cross described in her mind.

This was not mind control, so Natasha had not noticed it in the slightest. Just like in Avengers: Age of Ultron, where Tony saw everyone’s deaths in an illusion and forcibly created Ultron because of it.
