Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

”All I can say is that you don’t need to care too much. Even if you do, it won’t help.”

”Of course, that matter has nothing to do with me. Don’t look at me like that.”

Orion Cross had no intention of wading into this muddy water. The only difference between S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Black Organization from Detective Conan was that one was on the side of justice while the other was a villainous organization. Both sides shared one trait: they had more spies than people actually doing proper work. And to be honest, before Alexander Pierce’s branch of Hydra activated Project Insight, those Hydra agents, in order to avoid exposing themselves early, might even behave more obediently than orthodox S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Of course, that obedience was only relative to Orion Cross.

”When you say it like that, it only makes me care more.”

Natasha gave a bitter smile, put down the beer can, and leaned her graceful body slightly toward Orion Cross. ”Can you reveal just a little? In the future, does S.H.I.E.L.D. disappear?”

”If you’re referring to the S.H.I.E.L.D. that exists right now, then the answer is yes.”

”...”

Natasha leaned back against the sofa and slowly closed her eyes, as if digesting all of this. A minute later, Orion Cross looked at Natasha, who had not moved at all, and almost wondered whether she had fallen asleep.

”Perhaps I really should join you.”

Natasha spoke with her eyes closed. According to Orion Cross, even S.H.I.E.L.D. would not escape disaster in the future. In that case, why should she stubbornly cling to the title of Level Ten agent? When that title was gone, perhaps her identity would only be the weakest Avenger.

”Don’t be so pessimistic. Think about Motherfucker Man’s expression when the time comes. Cheer up a little.”

”Pfft.”

Natasha seemed to think of something and could not hold back a laugh. ”Ever since you started calling Nick Fury ’Motherfucker Man,’ all the agents have been calling him that behind his back.”

”Really? Isn’t the nickname pretty fitting? It’s much easier to say than something like Tony’s ’Iron Man.’”

Orion Cross shrugged as he spoke.

”Yeah. After Nick Fury found out, he started desperately practicing other ways to curse.”

”...He really has too much free time.”

Orion Cross was speechless. The two of them silently stared at each other for a while before Orion Cross spoke first. ”To be honest, Nick Fury must really regret upgrading your agent clearance.”

”Yes.”

Natasha nodded silently. If not for her Level Ten clearance, which allowed her to learn those details about Orion Cross, she would never have believed his words so easily, let alone been ”turned.”

”When you go back this time, will you report the contents of our conversation?” Orion Cross asked.

”No. There’s no need for that either,” Natasha said, shaking her head.

Although Orion Cross had verbally allowed her to work two jobs, it was clear that this was only to avoid making things difficult for her. If she chose to report Orion Cross’s matters and became a double agent, then Orion Cross would definitely never trust her again.

”How long is your mission period?” Orion Cross suddenly thought of something and asked.

”One month at most. Ten months from now, it’ll be my turn for vacation.”

”Good. Raven has been busy with company matters recently, and aside from computers, Skye is only so-so in everything else. Go be Wanda’s private tutor for a while.”

Orion Cross glanced at Wanda, who was not far away and studying seriously, then spoke to Natasha.

”Sure. But I’m very curious. How did that ten-year-old girl suddenly grow this big?”

Natasha had Level Ten privileges. Since she had read Orion Cross’s files, she naturally had not missed Wanda and Pietro’s either.

”Are you talking about age, or something else?” Orion Cross raised an eyebrow.

”...You really are a beast.”

After a brief silence, Natasha spoke.

”You seem to have misunderstood something. I didn’t do anything. Besides, explaining how Wanda suddenly became sixteen is too troublesome. It involves quantum entanglement, dimensional conversion, cosmic resonance, isotope harmonization...”

Orion Cross counted out professional terms on his fingers, making Natasha’s head ache just from listening.

”All right. I don’t want to know anymore.”

Natasha raised her hands in surrender. Her agent skills covered all sorts of fields, but among those professional terms, she had only heard of quantum entanglement, and even that was limited to merely having heard of it.

One month later, Ragnarok Corporation officially got on track and announced its first bionic intelligent mechanical limb. At the same time, Tony Stark was summoned to court. The military could finally no longer hold back and was about to make a move. What was even more annoying was that according to Natasha, the military had placed all their energy into clashing with Tony Stark, and only General Ross, the Hulk’s ”true love fan,” was still persevering without hesitation. In the end, this caused the tracking of Hulk to fail, and Hulk once again escaped everyone’s sight.

And the passing of one month also meant that the Black Widow series mission was about to refresh. Orion Cross sat on the living room sofa, eating the breakfast omelet Skye had made, silently waiting for the time to arrive.

”I’m here to freeload breakfast.”

Natasha pushed open the door and walked in. For the past month, she had been living in the suite next door. According to her, since the whole street belonged to Orion Cross anyway, leaving it empty would be a waste. However, aside from going back to sleep at night, Natasha basically spent all her time here, either teaching Wanda or chatting with Orion Cross.

Black Widow Series Mission: One Sip Each, No Drinking More.

Mission Description: Why did Kuafu want to drink water? Because he wanted to screw the sun.

Mission Details: Drink nine thousand milliliters of Natasha Romanoff’s bathwater.

After seeing the mission, Orion Cross immediately, directly, and instantly shifted his gaze away and chose to ignore it.

”Take me to see the old popsicle later.”

”Old popsicle?”

Natasha bit into a piece of bread and looked at Orion Cross in confusion. Who was the old popsicle?

”Steve Rogers. Has he been thawed yet?”

”Not yet, but soon.”

Natasha immediately understood and explained, ”Because they’re worried that directly thawing him might damage the Captain’s life, the researchers have been using the safest possible method.”

”Speaking of which, why are you so concerned about the Captain? Your era seems to have completely missed his deeds, right?”

Natasha looked at Orion Cross in confusion. According to the files, during the period when Captain America was active, Orion Cross had been sealed. Besides, how could someone like Orion Cross, who had resisted the gods, turn around and worship Captain America?

”I just think that guy’s outfit is very interesting... What, does Nick Fury not allow me to go?” Orion Cross asked.

”That’s not the case. In fact, he even wants you to help the Captain with psychological rehabilitation after he wakes up.”

Natasha shook her head.

”Me? Help him with psychological rehabilitation?”

Orion Cross pointed at himself with a face full of surprise. Had Nick Fury made some kind of mistake? He was not a psychologist. What he was good at was physical destruction.
