Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

Ding-dong.

After dinner, everyone was sitting in the living room watching television when the doorbell rang again.

”You actually know how to ring the doorbell? How rare.”

Looking at Nick Fury, who had been brought in by Raven, Orion Cross smiled.

”With those two outside as examples, I wouldn’t dare just barge in.”

Nick Fury mocked himself and sat down in front of Orion Cross.

No one knew what those two Black men had gone through, but when the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents handed them over to the police, they were actually moved to tears and even hugged the officers. They were nearly mistaken for attackers and took two bullets for it.

”Speak. What is it this time? Something that small shouldn’t be enough for you to personally make a trip, right?”

Orion Cross yawned and asked.

”Am I going to have to get you another new Social Security number?”

Nick Fury glanced at Mystique, Raven, who had brought him inside earlier, and asked meaningfully.

”Stop testing me. That’s right. Raven comes from another world.”

”I just came back after saving a world. How about that?”

Orion Cross was too lazy to keep going back and forth with Nick Fury and directly laid everything out in the open.

”Uh... then is there anything you need help with?”

Orion Cross’s directness caused all the probing and guiding questions Nick Fury had prepared in his mind to fall apart. For a moment, he did not know what to say.

”Help? Just manage yourselves properly. Lower the city’s crime rate a little so I don’t have to personally bully children like I did today.” Orion Cross curled his lips.

”Cough, cough. That’s the New York Police Department’s responsibility. It doesn’t seem to have much to do with us.”

”Actually... I wanted to ask, was there anything special about the world you went to this time?”

Nick Fury coughed twice to change the subject and revealed his real purpose.

”Special? You can forget about that. The two worlds are almost identical. In fact, since that side is still in the seventies, their technology is even worse.”

Orion Cross saw through Nick Fury’s little thoughts at a glance and mercilessly shattered his fantasy.

Nick Fury did not speak. He simply listened carefully as Orion Cross continued. He believed that an ordinary world would not have needed Orion Cross to go and save it.

”However, there is one species in that world called mutants.”

”You can understand them as something similar to genetic mutations like the Hulk. But they’re all born that way, and their abilities generally don’t go out of control.”

As he spoke, Orion Cross took out his phone, turned on the projection function, and directly played a video on the wall for Nick Fury. It showed Magneto taking all the French army’s weapons.

”His current ability is controlling metal. If he develops it properly in the future, it will upgrade into controlling magnetism.”

Orion Cross gave a brief explanation to prevent Nick Fury from asking random questions again.

”That lady is also a mutant?”

After watching the video, Nick Fury instantly felt extremely envious deep inside.

Ten years! Did anyone know how he had spent the past ten years? He had spent every day thinking about forming the Avengers until his head went bald, yet he still had not found a single suitable candidate.

And the neighboring world?

Superpowered people had directly become an entire species.

If he could gather all of them... even if he only gathered half, the Avengers Initiative could be completed instantly!

”Raven?”

Orion Cross called out.

Raven, who was helping clear the table, turned her head. When she saw a photo Orion Cross had searched up on his phone, she immediately understood what he meant. With a flick of her blond hair, she instantly transformed into Black Widow.

”Oh! Shit! Motherfucker!”

Nick Fury was startled and leaned back sharply.

Orion Cross waved at Raven, signaling that she could continue doing her own thing, then turned to look at the still-shaken Nick Fury. ”No need to get so excited, right? Don’t tell me you just happen to know this person. I found that picture online at random.”

”Are you sure she isn’t a Skrull?”

Nick Fury took a deep breath and asked.

Mystique, Raven’s ability instantly reminded him of that mission in 1995, the one that had completely overturned his worldview.

It was also in that year that he learned there were countless civilizations in the universe besides Earth, and he had met Captain Marvel, Carol, as well as Orion Cross.

”What you saw earlier was her original appearance. Do you think she looks like Demon King Piccolo?” Orion Cross asked back.

Skrulls all had green skin, and most of them had ugly appearances. That was one of their major characteristics.

Knock, knock, knock.

”I’m coming in?”

Hill asked from outside, then pushed the door open and walked in. She handed a piece of paper to Nick Fury. ”These are the statements from those two people.”

”This kind of small matter can just...”

Nick Fury was about to hand the paper back, but suddenly saw a line written on it. He raised his head and looked at Orion Cross. ”You killed someone?”

”Yes.” Orion Cross nodded calmly.

”You admit it?”

Hill looked at Orion Cross in astonishment.

America was a very strange place. Even if someone was a mafia boss with countless lives on their hands, as long as they did not admit it, then even if everyone knew they were an executioner, nothing could be done.

But once they admitted it, things were different.

”What’s there to not admit?”

”I remember that when you asked me for help, you agreed that everything on this street would be decided by me.”

Orion Cross swirled the water in his glass and spoke.

”Even then, you still have to follow...”

”Stop!”

Orion Cross interrupted Nick Fury. ”Let me ask you a question. If American law conflicts with Manhattan University’s school rules, which one takes precedence?”

”Of course the law takes precedence,” Hill answered without hesitation from the side.

”Exactly. So when American law conflicts with the rules of my territory, naturally, I should take precedence as well.”

Orion Cross smiled and said, ”Besides, what that guy did was only half a step away from deserving death anyway. If I hadn’t stopped him and had let him barge in, wouldn’t he have ended up dead all the same?”

”That comparison doesn’t hold. American law protects the entire country, while you are an individual...” Hill frowned slightly as she argued.

”No, you still don’t understand. What I protect is every dimension, which stands far above your mere country.”

Orion Cross was not lying. Since all dimensions were his pastures, he naturally would not allow these pastures to casually collapse.

”But...”

”All right, Hill. He’s right. His rules take priority.”

Nick Fury suddenly spoke and stopped Hill from continuing. He looked up at Orion Cross and sighed. ”Carol has to maintain the order of the universe, and you have to maintain the order of dimensions. You two really are... the more capable one is, the more work they do.”

Orion Cross did not comment on Nick Fury’s words and said nothing.

Although his main reason for going next door had been to let Wanda awaken her mutant ability and Chaos Magic, while conveniently completing a mission, it was still a fact that he had saved the world. There was no need to deny it.

”Can you tell me what crisis that mutant world actually encountered?”

Nick Fury crossed his hands and placed them on the table, looking seriously at Orion Cross.
