Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

Boom!

A brilliant beam shot out from the center of the Sun Disc, directly evaporating all the firepower in the sky into ash.

”This is the true power of an Ascended.”

Orion Cross slowly let out a breath, feeling the magic power in his body nearly bottom out as he looked toward Magneto in the distance.

Magneto continuously controlled the French army’s weapons and fired at Orion Cross, but any firepower that entered the range of the Sun Discs was instantly melted away.

Seeing this, even Magneto, who had always held himself in high regard, could not help taking a step back.

At that moment, he no longer dared return to his original position and face Orion Cross head-on. Who knew whether he would also be vaporized by those terrifying golden discs if he stepped into that area?

If there was still one chance to defeat Orion Cross...

Magneto thought of something, abandoned the army, and flew toward the building where Wolverine and the others were.

”Charles, I need your help. We can’t let him take Mystique away. Otherwise, what we face won’t be genocide, but an invasion from another world!”

The moment Magneto landed, he immediately walked toward Charles and gripped his shoulders.

”You think everyone is far too evil, Erik.”

Charles smiled bitterly and shook his head. ”And with my current condition, I can’t help you at all.”

”He said he wants this world to feel his threat so it can properly understand the necessity of mutants’ existence.”

Wolverine glanced at Magneto. ”So, he’s helping us.”

”That’s right. We can testify too.”

Pietro spoke up. ”Although Big Brother Orion isn’t a ridiculously good person like Steve Rogers, he definitely isn’t evil either.”

”Forgive me for asking, but who is Steve Rogers?” Charles asked.

”Uh, he’s the first superhero from our world. He crushed the Nazi-fascist organization Hydra and died heroically in the end,” Pietro said.

”Then he is indeed worthy of respect.” Charles nodded slightly, then looked at Magneto. ”Do you still intend to kill Raven and Orion?”

”How do you expect me to forget about a blade hanging over the heads of all mutants?” Magneto sneered and asked back.

”As long as that blade isn’t cutting down on us and can even help us, what does it matter if it hangs overhead?” Charles said with a smile.

”Hmph!”

Magneto walked to the window and looked into the distance, unable to stop himself from letting out a cold snort. ”His goal has already been achieved.”

”What happened?”

The others walked back to the window and looked toward the place where Orion Cross was standing.

They saw the French army throw down all their weapons and raise white flags in the face of Orion Cross’s approach.

”As expected, the hardest battle in the world is defeating France before France surrenders.”

Orion Cross casually used the ancient power of the Sun Discs to evaporate all the French army’s weapons and armored vehicles, muttering a complaint under his breath.

”Pfft.”

Hearing Orion Cross mutter, Mystique could not help laughing.

”Stop laughing. Stand in the middle. This power can’t be wasted.”

Orion Cross also had not expected that after dealing with Magneto, the confrontation he had prepared for against national forces would end so quickly. As a result, he had poured too much magic power into the Sun Discs.

”Huh? What are you going to do?”

Mystique froze, then was pushed by Orion Cross into the center of the city desert.

”In the world I come from, people with superpowers are generally called superheroes...”

”But to be honest, aside from your shapeshifting ability, your physique is only a little stronger than an ordinary person’s.”

”So I’m going to let you receive Ascension.”

The drifting fabric at Orion Cross’s sleeves danced amid the yellow sand, and all the surrounding Sun Discs emitted dazzling light.

When the retreating French soldiers in the distance saw this, they thought Orion Cross was about to launch another attack and immediately ran for their lives.

”Accept this power.”

Boom!

A beam of light, different from the destructive force from before, shone down from the Sun Discs and landed on Mystique, Raven. The blinding light and mysterious aura forced her to cover her eyes and drop to one knee.

In ancient Runeterra, the Aspects used the Celestial Crown to draw upon Aurelion Sol’s power and had mortals build the Sun Disc, allowing them to obtain immortal power. Mortals who received that power were known as Ascended, and the ritual was called the Ascension Ritual.

If Aurelion Sol’s status were lowered and compared to a tailed beast from the Naruto world, then Orion Cross at this moment would be a perfect Jinchuriki, while the Ascended of Runeterra would be equivalent to Kinkaku and Ginkaku after eating the Nine-Tails’ flesh.

As for Mystique, who was currently undergoing the Ascension Ritual, at most, she could be considered Sora, the pseudo-Jinchuriki who had a tiny bit of Nine-Tails chakra implanted in him.

”Ahhhhh!”

Mystique let out a pained scream. Under the illumination of the Sun Discs, her blue skin gradually evaporated, her short red hair slowly fell away, and even the genes within her body were being modified and purified.

No one knew how long passed. To Mystique, it might have been as long as a century.

Finally, the Sun Discs stopped shining.

After the magic power was exhausted, the Sun Discs and their foundations all turned into yellow sand and scattered with the wind.

From then on, the PM2.5 levels in Paris, France...
