Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

”What did you say?”

Charles’s originally indifferent expression instantly froze, and he slowly turned his head to look at Orion Cross.

One of the major reasons the future-renowned Professor X had fallen so far into decadence was because Mystique, Raven, did not agree with his ideals and chose to follow Magneto instead.

Although he said he did not care and did not want to go, the moment Raven’s life was involved, there was no way he could remain seated.

If Magneto represented friendship to Charles, then Mystique, Raven, was a mixture of family, friendship, and love all at once.

”Didn’t you understand? Have Wanda erase Mystique, and the future will be saved.”

Orion Cross leaned against the table with his arms crossed.

”Good idea. If this coward refuses to help us, then we’ll do as you said.”

Wolverine also stood beside Orion Cross at this moment, expressing his agreement.

He was not simply using provocation against Professor X.

If Professor X still chose to remain a useless coward who escaped reality even at this point, then for the sake of the other mutants in the future, Wolverine would absolutely choose to help Orion Cross erase Mystique, Raven, without the slightest hesitation.

”With just this little girl? What is her ability?”

Charles forced out a smile and turned his gaze toward Wanda.

”Don’t look down on little girls. In the future, you’ll meet a little girl named Jean. Believe me, she is a nightmare for all of us.”

Wolverine closed his eyes slightly as he spoke to Charles.

In his timeline, Jean Grey had lost control because of the Phoenix Force and had already been killed by his own hands.

And when Jean Grey had first been found by Professor X and Magneto, she had still been a little girl.

”Don’t doubt it. Even if the core of a Death Star were placed in front of her, she could destroy it.”

Orion Cross did not hide anything as he exaggerated Wanda’s ability on her behalf, making Wanda herself feel a little embarrassed beside him.

Wanda had only just awakened her ability and had only used it once as a test. She had no idea where her limits were, or whether she was really as powerful as Orion Cross claimed.

”Try it.”

Charles took a silver wine cup from behind him, placed it on the table, and gestured to Wanda.

”I...”

Wanda subconsciously looked at Orion Cross, seeking his opinion.

”Don’t worry. You can do it casually. Focus your thoughts and your power.”

Orion Cross smiled at Wanda as he spoke.

What a joke. Infinity Stones were things Thanos could only destroy with the Infinity Gauntlet at the cost of half his life, even while wearing all six stones. But in Scarlet Witch’s hands, she only needed a few minutes to completely annihilate one. What was one little silver wine cup supposed to be?

At the very least, they should have brought out a vibranium cup or an adamantium cup for it to match her status.

Crack!

Sure enough, with Orion Cross’s encouragement, even Wanda, who had only just awakened her ability, could easily destroy the silver wine cup.

”I’ll join you. I’ll do everything I can to stop her, even if she no longer listens to me.”

As the crimson energy in Wanda’s hand faded and he looked at the silver wine cup that had not even left a trace of residue behind, Charles spoke with a dark expression.

”That’s why we need Magneto too. In the future, you and he sent me back together.”

Wolverine looked seriously at Charles and spoke.

Ten minutes later, Orion Cross’s group arrived in two cars in front of the Pentagon, the central building of the country’s Department of Defense.

”The room holding him was built during World War II. Its foundation is pure cement and sand, with no metal at all.”

”He’s being held beneath a hundred heavily guarded floors. How are you planning to get in?”

Charles leaned against the car door and looked at the towering building in the distance as he asked.

”Pietro, we’re counting on you.”

Wolverine looked at Pietro.

”Me?!”

Pietro pointed at himself in surprise. ”I mean, I only just got my ability. Can I really do it?”

”Yes. Believe in yourself. In my memories, you can go anywhere in the world. This place is nothing more than a backyard to you.”

Wolverine nodded encouragingly and patted Pietro on the shoulder.

”Go on. Keep your phone with you. If you run into trouble you can’t solve, call me. Don’t try to force it.”

Seeing Pietro look toward him, Orion Cross also nodded in agreement.

The special agent phone from S.H.I.E.L.D. had been modified by Skye. Not only did it have an internal network, it was also immune to signal jamming.

Under the technology level of the 1970s, this black-tech phone was enough to crush all electronic computers.

”Wait. Forgive me for asking, but what is your mutant ability...?”

Charles suddenly remembered that he had witnessed Wanda and Pietro’s abilities, but Orion Cross’s... all he had seen was Orion Cross condense a humanoid soldier.

”I’m not a mutant. As for my ability...”

Orion Cross watched Quicksilver Pietro turn into a streak of silver light and charge into the Pentagon. ”If nothing unexpected happens, you’ll know in a little while.”
