Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

[Mission reward obtained: Shapeshifter: Neeko’s Aid.]

[Additional mission reward obtained: World Traversal Talisman.]

[Hidden condition completed. Mystique’s favorability is greater than 70%. Special reward obtained: Whispers of the Old God.]

”Extract.”

A single Mystique mission had given him three special rewards in total, and none of them seemed useless.

[Shapeshifter: Neeko’s Aid]: After use, randomly obtain one of the following: [Contract: Kaleidoscopic Spirit], [Skill: Inherent Glamour], or [Scroll: The Formation of the Vastayashai’rei].

”You’re still making me draw lots?”

Orion Cross looked at the faint green orb in his hand and speechlessly crushed it.

Obtained: [Scroll: The Formation of the Vastayashai’rei].

[Scroll: The Formation of the Vastayashai’rei]: Records how the ancient Vastayashai’rei, who were powerful enough to resist the giants who descended from the heavens, came into being.

”A history book? Or...”

Orion Cross opened the scroll, and the magical characters written inside turned into a stream of light that flowed into his consciousness.

”As expected, it’s a new kind of power.”

After a long while, Orion Cross slowly opened his eyes.

The so-called Vastayashai’rei were actually the earliest group of gifted humans on Runeterra. They entered the spirit realm, absorbed natural energy, and eventually transformed into various animal forms.

Did that sound familiar?

That was right. Different paths led to the same destination. The formation of the Vastayashai’rei was extremely similar to Sage Mode in the Naruto world.

Both involved absorbing natural energy, and both could produce animal forms.

The difference was that Sage Mode in the Naruto world had a time limit. Once the user fully transformed into an animal, it meant the energy inside their body had gone out of balance. Not only would they lose consciousness, they would also lose their life.

The Vastayashai’rei, however, had no time limit after absorbing natural energy. The power they obtained far surpassed Sage Mode and was enough to rival gods.

”This is basically another kind of Ascended Mode.”

Orion Cross instantly felt a little speechless. He now had the high-end version of Tailed Beast Mode in the form of his Ascended Form, and he had also obtained the cultivation method of the Vastayashai’rei, a high-end version of Sage Mode.

Was the next step going to be a high-end version of Six Paths Mode?

”Forget it. Let’s look at the next one first.”

Orion Cross took out a cloth talisman that shimmered with a faint glow.

[World Traversal Talisman]: Travel to a random world. Note: This item is a one-time consumable and does not provide a return trip.

”Simple and clear. I like it.”

Orion Cross stored the World Traversal Talisman in his storage space.

No return trip? That was not a problem at all for Orion Cross, who possessed extradimensional magic.

Rather than calling it a World Traversal Talisman, it would be more accurate to say it gave Orion Cross the coordinates of another dimension.

However, there was no need to use it right now.

The last one...

”Whispers of the Old God. Just from the name, it doesn’t sound like anything good. It won’t be some tentacle monster, will it?”

Orion Cross muttered as he looked at the final item.

[Whispers of the Old God]: After use, randomly obtain one of the following: [Skill: Curse of Flesh], [Summon: Mecha C’Thun], [Item: Thunder of First Creation], or [Avatar: Dark Sun Gwyndolin].

”Again?”

As someone who had played gacha games in his previous life and was unlucky all year round, what Orion Cross hated most was drawing lots.

Especially since Neeko’s Aid had given him one of the relatively best options earlier. This time...

Obtained: [Skill: Curse of Flesh]: A curse used by the Old Gods to corrupt the creations of the Titans, capable of transforming resilient inorganic lifeforms into fragile flesh-and-blood beings.

”As expected. I knew it.”

As he examined the knowledge of the Curse of Flesh that appeared in his mind, Orion Cross sighed helplessly.

With things like lucky draws, whoever used up their luck first was finished first.

There had been four options in total, yet he had somehow ended up getting the most useless one.

Curse of Flesh? Who was Orion Cross supposed to curse with this? The Autobots and Decepticons next door?

After adjusting his mood, Orion Cross opened the bedroom door and went downstairs.

”Hm? Where is everyone?”

Orion Cross looked at the empty living room, then walked into the kitchen and asked Skye, who was making dinner.

”Oh, didn’t Wanda and Pietro suddenly grow up? The clothes we bought before don’t fit them anymore, so Raven and Susan took them out to buy clothes.”

Skye stared closely at the soup in the pot without even turning her head. ”They should be back soon. Before they left, I told them dinner would be ready in twenty minutes.”

Bang!

The moment she finished speaking, the sound of the door opening came from outside.

”Where’s that brat?”

Walking into the living room, Orion Cross watched everyone put down bags of all sizes. When he realized Pietro had not returned, he immediately asked in confusion.

”Him? He bought a few burgers and ran straight to that bar you gave him.”

Mystique, Raven, brushed her hair back and leaned against the sofa.

”If you let him run wild like this, he won’t become a supervillain, will he?”

Wanda was actually a little worried about Pietro’s current situation.

”Don’t worry. He won’t.”

Orion Cross patted Wanda on the shoulder and comforted her.

If even the slightest thought of committing a crime appeared in Pietro’s heart, Orion Cross’s methods would appear in his mind at the same time.

Would he dare?
