Marvel: Odin Imprisoned Me with Hela

”Step aside and hand over Mystique.”

”Otherwise, you’ll witness my true power.”

”I don’t want those two gifted children to be heartbroken.”

Magneto gave Orion Cross his final ultimatum. Perhaps there really was some kind of bond entangling them, because he had actually taken notice of Pietro and Wanda, who were, in a sense, ”set” to be his children.

At that moment, the duel between Magneto and Orion Cross was being watched by countless eyes. It was not just Charles, Wolverine, Wanda, and Pietro in the building behind them. Even the fearless bystanders around the area were frantically taking pictures with their cameras.

”Your true power? Controlling magnetic fields? If you could really do that, you wouldn’t need to hide iron plates in your shoes.”

Orion Cross rested a hand on Mystique’s shoulder and crooked a finger at Magneto. ”If you want her, then come and take her.”

”You’ve made the wrong choice.”

Magneto gave Orion Cross a long, deep look, then slowly spread his arms, and the entire ground began to tremble.

”You’re planning to use the steel bars underground?”

Orion Cross smiled faintly and slammed his golden staff into the ground.

Whoosh.

Starting from where Orion Cross stood, the ground beneath his feet rapidly transformed into golden sand.

Bound by the sand, the steel bars hidden within it could not be pulled out by Magneto at all.

”So your ability amounts to nothing more than this.”

Magneto looked down at the ground and saw that only the area directly in front of Orion Cross had been turned into sand, and he could not help mocking him.

At the same time, in areas farther away where there was no sand, the earth split apart, and countless steel bars were torn out from underground, shooting toward Orion Cross at blinding speed.

”I simply didn’t want to waste magic on nothing but basic abilities. And that was enough to give you confidence?”

Orion Cross looked up at Magneto, who was now wearing an excited expression in the sky, and swung his staff forward.

Boom!

The sand on the ground rapidly formed into one sand soldier after another, charging into the sky. They became a wall of bodies that blocked the steel bars, while more sand soldiers wielding long spears continuously attacked Magneto.

Magneto looked powerful, but in the end, he was just a fragile mage. Once his actual body was hurt, even a single bullet would be enough to seriously wound him.

Seeing this, Magneto hastily reversed the direction of the metal. The metal that had been attacking Orion Cross shifted in front of him and formed a defensive iron wall.

”This is terrifying!”

”Are they gods?”

”Where’s the army? Why hasn’t anyone come to stop them yet?”

”This is incredible. It’s way more exciting than the movies.”

”Oh God, are they demons or angels? Please tell your followers!”

The bystanders were completely stunned by the battle between Magneto and Orion Cross, though every single one of them had a different thought.

”Public announcement! Citizens are requested to evacuate in an orderly manner immediately!”

”Public announcement! Citizens are requested to evacuate in an orderly manner immediately!”

A loudspeaker lying on the ground blared the warning, yet only a handful of onlookers actually left. Most of them still hid in nearby buildings, carefully watching this once-in-a-lifetime clash of gods.

”Warning! Warning! You have violated French law! Put down your weapons and surrender immediately!”

”I repeat, put down your weapons and surrender immediately, or we will take action!”

Not far away, an officer standing on an armored vehicle shouted at Magneto and Orion Cross through a loudspeaker.

To be fair, the speed of the military response this time was unexpectedly fast.

But it was also within reason, because inside that building in the distance were high-ranking officials from various countries who had come to discuss the mutant legislation. If anything happened to them, France would never be able to bear the international backlash.

Hearing the warning from the French military, Magneto slowly descended in front of them. Seeing that, all the French soldiers raised their weapons and aimed at him.

”Thank you for bringing me more weapons.”

Magneto smiled faintly, then raised both hands. Every assault rifle, rocket launcher, and grenade detached from the soldiers and flew into the air.

”Run! You can’t beat Erik!”

Mystique, still trapped in the sand and unable to move, saw everything and immediately shouted at Orion Cross.

The steel bars hidden in the city might still be something the sand could hold back, but the bombardment of modern weapons was not something ordinary powers could endure.

Otherwise, so many mutants under Magneto’s command would not have died.

”So, Miss Raven, have you thought it through? Are you willing to leave this world of mutants?”

Faced with the sky full of firepower, Orion Cross remained perfectly still.

”If I can survive...”

Mystique had already given up resisting. As for Magneto, who was trying everything possible to kill her, she had completely lost all hope in him.

”In that case...”

Orion Cross dispersed the sand surrounding Mystique, and she staggered forward.

”So you’re dismissing your defense and waiting for death?”

Mystique looked up at the overwhelming firepower in the air, a bitter smile appearing at the corner of her mouth.

”Rise from the sands!”

Magic surged through the staff clutched in Orion Cross’s hand. Dozens of skyscrapers around them collapsed with a thunderous roar and turned into sand. Then...

Under the horrified gaze of everyone present, the fallen buildings transformed into mysterious structures, and above each foundation floated a radiant golden disc like a miniature sun.

The Sun Disc!
