The map supports zooming in and out, almost indistinguishable from the game, but it can’t show detailed information about Pokemon species inhabiting certain places.

The next feature is the Rotom Pokedex. Naoki had already tried it before and knows it contains information about Pokemon in the Paldea Region.

The last feature is the app store and website login interface.

As the name suggests, the app store is a place to download apps. However, since the phone hasn’t been officially released, only a few insignificant apps can be downloaded.

The website login interface is used for logging into web pages, equipped with a specialized search engine, making it convenient for trainers to look up various information.

The most amazing thing is that the Rotom Phone doesn’t need to charge!

To be precise, only phones with a Rotom inside don’t need to charge.

Because the Rotom living inside the phone constantly supplies electricity as long as Rotom isn’t having issues, the phone remains powered.

”Wow, such amazing Rotom Technology!” Naoki exclaimed in wonder.

Upon closer consideration, after all, Rotom is an Electric Type Pokemon, creating electricity is an easy task for it.

Meanwhile, in the Johto Region, Ecruteak City.

Walking through Bellchime Trail, covered with golden sycamore leaves, ahead emerges a quiet, solemn, anciently styled tall tower.

Every floor of the tower is adorned with bells beneath the eaves. When the wind blows, the melodious sound of the bells accompanies the golden sycamore woods, drifting into the distance.

Inside Bell Tower, a few monks dressed in robes are tidying up the dust in the tower.

In an unnoticed corner, Teddiursa and Mew quietly poked their heads out.

”One me?” (Is this Bell Tower?)

Mew looked around, then nodded affirmatively: ”Miu!” (This should be it!)

Seeing they’ve found the right spot, Teddiursa’s eyes lit up, and it took out a feather radiating a rainbow-colored glow from behind, filled with mystery.

A few days ago, during their travels, they encountered this feather.

Teddiursa fully played to its Pickup trait, immediately noticing the beautiful feather that had fallen on the grass.

It then thought to pick up the feather and ask Zapdos to send it as a gift to Naoki.

That night, a mysterious Pokemon with orange fur appeared before them.

It was a majestic Pokemon.

It wore iron rings on its sturdy limbs, bore red hexagram-shaped structures on its cheeks, had clover-like golden hair shells on its forehead, and had mane resembling flowing white smoke on its back.

The Pokemon looked at them, first showing an unexpected expression.

But soon, it introduced itself to the Heroic Expedition Team trio.

It said its name was Entei, the emissary of Ho-oh.

It also said the feather was Ho-oh’s and guided them to Bell Tower in Ecruteak City, saying the feather could be used there.

Thus, after asking around, the Heroic Expedition Team arrived at this anciently styled town.

Teddiursa looked up at the tower’s top: ”One me...” (Seems the Pokemon said to take us to the top of the tower...)

Mew blinked and silently used Teleport to take Teddiursa outside to meet up with Zapdos.

Upon hearing of their companions’ discovery, Zapdos calmly nodded and let them sit on its body.

Both Mew and Teddiursa settled in, Zapdos flapped its wings and flew towards the tower’s top.

The warm orange sun shone on Zapdos, casting a moving shadow on Bellchime Trail.

A monk who was sweeping leaves on Bellchime Trail noticed the shadow. He looked up and saw an orange figure flying towards Bell Tower.

The monk was slightly stunned and then showed a delighted expression: ”Lord Ho-oh! Lord Ho-oh has returned to Bell Tower!”

The monks were overjoyed, some weeping tears of joy because it had been a long time since Ho-oh returned.

Now that Ho-oh is back at Bell Tower, does it mean it’s willing to reconnect with humans?

The monks hurriedly informed the elderly in Ecruteak City who have always believed and waited for Ho-oh’s return.

However, when everyone climbed to the top of Bell Tower, they didn’t find Ho-oh there. Instead, they discovered three unknown Pokemon.

The monk who first saw Ho-oh looked at Zapdos, his mouth agape, and his face filled with despair: ”Not Lord Ho-oh...”

Zapdos: ”?”

Mew and Teddiursa curiously looked back at these humans.

Just then, one of the humans, an elderly woman with white hair, noticed the feather Teddiursa was holding.

She exclaimed: ”That’s Lord Ho-oh’s feather!”

”One me?” Teddiursa looked at the feather in its hand.

Judging by these humans, could they be planning to seize its feather?

Teddiursa immediately showed vigilance, as the feather wasn’t of use here. It still planned to give the feather to Naoki.

So, Teddiursa and Mew immediately tried to depart with Zapdos.

But suddenly, the elderly woman stopped them.

”Please wait! I have no intention of seizing that feather!”

Upon hearing this, the three Pokemon looked at her.

The elderly woman continued: ”That’s Lord Ho-oh’s Rainbow Feather. Since Lord Ho-oh has given its feather to you, it means you’ve been chosen by it.”

”Those guided by the Rainbow Feather and who encounter Ho-oh will become the Rainbow Hero.” The elderly woman muttered historical records.

”miu?”

”One me?”

Teddiursa and Mew quickly became attracted to the term Rainbow Hero.

Not having met Ho-oh, the elderly woman showed a lost expression.

Now, Lord Ho-oh doesn’t even grant humans the qualification of Rainbow Hero but chooses these three Pokemon.

Apparently, Lord Ho-oh still cares greatly about the incident from centuries ago...

At that time, Lord Ho-oh and Lord Lugia resided in Bell Tower and Brass Tower.

Until a war broke out among humans, affecting Brass Tower, causing it to be burnt and nearby Pokemon to lose their lives.

Lord Ho-oh and Lord Lugia felt disappointed in humans. Hence, they left Ecruteak City, never to return.

Although Lord Ho-oh hasn’t forgiven humans, they’ve always believed in Lord Ho-oh.

Now seeing Lord Ho-oh giving its Rainbow Feather to three Pokemon, she plans to follow Lord Ho-oh’s directive and help the three Pokemon complete the Rainbow Hero’s trial.

”Head to Mount Tensei!” guided the elderly woman: ”Since Lord Ho-oh isn’t willing to return to Bell Tower, surely it resides somewhere in Mount Tensei.”

guided by the Rainbow Feather, head towards Mount Tensei! If you pass Lord Ho-oh’s trial, you shall be called the Rainbow Hero, and Lord Ho-oh will grant you a wish.

The elderly woman slowly narrated the historical records.

On the evening of the following day, the fifty phones Naoki pre-ordered were delivered by a suit-clad office worker using the Squawkabilly Flying Taxi to the ranch.

Clearly, it’s an employee of Rotom Technology Company, here on a business trip to the ranch.

Once Naoki signed for the phones, the office worker’s task was done.

He didn’t linger here, immediately taking the Squawkabilly Flying Taxi back.

Naoki carried the large box of Phone Rotoms back to the living room, opened the package, took out the phones one by one, and began testing them.

Seeing all the phones functioning correctly, usable without issues, Naoki stopped.

”Next is waiting for the phones’ official release to download all the apps into them!” Naoki thought.

Naoki didn’t plan to give the phones to Calyrex and Dragonite yet because their functions weren’t yet complete, with nothing entertaining inside.

Putting away the phones, Naoki began preparing in advance for tomorrow’s Bountiful Harvest Festival.

After the Bountiful Harvest Festival, autumn will be over.

Unknowingly, the end of the year is near again; compared to last year, the ranch has gained many new companions.

This New Year will surely be lively! Naoki thought.

Yet who knows if Teddiursa, Mew, and Zapdos will return this year.

So far, he’s nearly gone two months without news from them.

Who knows what the Heroic Expedition Team is doing now, or where they’ve traveled to.
