Not Being a Trainer This Time

With the Dragon Power acquired, Naoki began using this power to nurture the Dragon Type Pokemon on the ranch.

The first batch of Dragon Type Pokemon nurtured by Naoki were the four unevolved Dragonair.

Dragon Power is a very special ability, somewhat similar to the energy transfer in xianxia novels.

It involves consuming one’s own strength to pass it onto the Dragon Type Pokemon, helping them grow better.

With the blessing of the Dragon Power, combined with the super-speed training effect brought by Paldea Seafood Rice, these four Dragonair finally evolved into Dragonite before the third last day of autumn arrived.

This allowed the Dragonite team on the ranch to become even more formidable!

Naoki’s Dragonite, along with eight working Dragonite, and the trio of elder Dragonite, now made the ranch home to twelve Dragonite in total.

Oh no, to be precise, it’s thirteen, because there’s still one Dragonite Egg that hasn’t hatched.

Looking at this large group of Dragonite in the ranch, Naoki felt like he could rename his ranch to Dragon Ranch.

Roughly speaking, he could even consider himself a Dragon Elite, right?

The pure dragon team alone could form two squads.

First squad: Koraidon, Cyclizar, Dragonite No.2, Dragonite No.3, Dragonite No.4, Dragonite No.5

Second squad: Dragonite, Dragonite No.6, Dragonite No.7, Dragonite No.8, Dragonite No.9, Dragonite No.10

With the increase of Dragonite, another problem arose.

That is, with the increase in the number of Pokemon, the amount of food they consume daily also increased.

Just the twelve Dragonite alone consume a lot of Poffins and Pokeblocks each day.

Pokeblocks are easy to handle, as Naoki’s home has a Berry Blender. Just set it up, add the berries according to the recipe, and Pokeblocks can be made automatically.

In about two hours, a large stack of Pokeblocks can be produced.

But Poffins are a bit more complex.

Whether it’s boiling berries or pouring them into molds, everything has to be done by Naoki himself.

Initially, with just those few Dragonite, it was manageable, but now with so many, he’s overwhelmed.

Just as Naoki was troubled by this issue, his sister Indeedee stepped up.

”Ai-yi~” (Perhaps I can help, Naoki~)

Naoki was a bit surprised as he ate two pieces of Translation Nuts Cake: ”You know how to make Poffins?”

His sister Indeedee shook her head: ”Ai-yi!” (Originally I didn’t, but after watching Naoki make Poffins every day, I slowly memorized the steps!)

If his sister Indeedee could help, he would indeed have it much easier.

The work efficiency of a Psychic Pokemon far exceeds his as a human.

”Then can you show me once?” Naoki asked.

”Ai-yi!”

His sister Indeedee happily nodded, thrilled to be able to help Naoki.

The two of them, human and Pokemon, went to Alcremie’s Cream Workshop.

His sister Indeedee’s eyes shone with a blue light, and in the next second, a magical scene unfolded.

Accompanying this light, pots, pans, and mixers automatically floated into the air, as the fridge opened and the berries and eggs floated out.

His sister Indeedee gently waved her arms, directing the kitchenware and ingredients to their respective places.

The pot automatically ignited, the berries shed their skins, eggs cracked in half, and the yolk and whites fell into a bowl with a splash.

Naoki stared in disbelief at the spectacle before him.

The scene in front of him reminded him of two words—magic!

His sister Indeedee worked smoothly, quickly cooking the berries, mixing them with eggs and flour, and finally pouring them into molds, controlled by Telekinesis, into the oven.

After about thirty minutes, accompanied by a ding, the oven stopped.

His sister Indeedee opened the oven door, bringing out a large tray of fragrant, sweet-smelling Poffins.

Naoki picked up one to taste.

”Ai-yi?” (How is it?)

His sister Indeedee asked nervously, worried that she might not have done it well for her first time.

”Delicious!” Naoki nodded, highly excited internally: ”Even more delicious than the Poffins I make!”

”Ai-yi!” (That’s great!)

His sister Indeedee was overjoyed.

Naoki was also very happy; this way, he wouldn’t have to worry about not being able to pay the Dragonite’s wages.

In fact, there is another way to solve this problem.

That is to pay the Dragonite money and let them go to town to buy what they want to eat.

But this idea is somewhat unrealistic.

Because the Dragonite don’t know the prices, and the shopkeepers can’t understand them.

At times like this, a Rotom Phone would be really handy.

The Rotom residing in the phone could help the Dragonite purchase items and pay for them.

It’s just unknown how Nemona’s father’s research is progressing.

The weather was nice today, and after lunch, Naoki took the Eevees to the ranch’s grassy fields to bask in the sun.

He spread out a picnic cloth on the grass, with a pile of snacks on it for the Eevees to eat when they got hungry.

The Eevees weren’t hungry yet and happily played chase around Naoki.

And surrounded by them, Naoki was using Dragon Power to nurture Cyclizar.

Now that the Dragonair have evolved, it was time to help Cyclizar get stronger.

Back then, when Pawmo ate the Lightning Steamed Bun and Dragonite ate the Storm Steamed Bun, Cyclizar looked on with envy.
