Not Being a Trainer This Time

Nikar and Nemona stayed at the ranch until evening.

Nikar initially planned to head back after discussing the future developments of the Rotom Phone with Naoki.

But unfortunately, Nemona was already having too much fun.

Throughout the afternoon, Nemona engaged in one intense Pokemon battle after another with the Pokemon on the ranch, only stopping once all the Pokemon were exhausted and she was satisfied.

”The feeling of battling is just amazing!” Nemona said excitedly.

Naoki: ”...”

He glanced at Nemona’s Pokemon, feeling that Nemona had gained quite a bit of experience points today from him.

Seeing his daughter’s wild demeanor, Nikar said helplessly, ”Nemona’s character is just like a boy’s.”

However, Naoki understood: ”Nemona really loves Pokemon battles.”

Nikar nodded with a smile: ”Yes, Nemona once told me that she wants to become a very strong Pokemon Trainer when she grows up!”

”She will definitely achieve it.” Naoki thought of Nemona in the game and said softly.

”Whew!” Nikar exhaled: ”Anyway, as long as Nemona is happy, that’s what matters.”

As a father, no matter what his daughter wants to do in the future, he will support her unconditionally.

Saying this, Nikar glanced at the time, and then said goodbye to Naoki:

”It’s getting late, thank you very much for your hospitality, Naoki, we’ll leave you now. Once we’re back, I’ll arrange for someone to deliver the phone you ordered.”

”Thank you.” Naoki nodded.

Nikar smiled, then looked at Nemona, who was tending to her Pokemon, and called: ”Nemona, it’s time to go!”

Hearing that it was time to leave, Nemona’s face showed a reluctant expression.

But she also knew that after spending so much time here today, it was time to head home.

So, Nemona reluctantly put her Pokemon back into the Poke Balls and energetically waved goodbye to Naoki.

”I’ll definitely come visit again, Mr. Naoki!”

”You’re always welcome.” Naoki smiled and nodded.

”Well then, goodbye!”

Nemona followed her father back to the car, and before the car drove off, Nemona waved vigorously to Naoki through the window.

”Pawmot, let’s have another Pokemon battle next time!”

Having been dragged into battles all afternoon by Nemona: ”Paw..mot.”

Naoki patted Pawmot’s head and smiled as he watched the car leave the ranch.

As evening approached, Nemona and her father had just left, when Zack arrived at the ranch driving a big truck.

Naoki helped him load the vegetables and milk onto the truck.

During checkout, Zack wiped the sweat off his face with a towel and laughed:

”The Abundant Festival is happening the day after tomorrow, don’t forget to bring your Pokemon to participate!”

The Abundant Festival originally was the Harvest Festival of Porto Marinada Town, but the townspeople renamed it to honor Calyrex for saving the back mountain, using the occasion to worship and thank Calyrex for granting the land abundance.

In previous years, the Harvest Festival was held at Unity Square, but this year, due to the establishment of the Abundant Shrine, Mayor Thomas changed the venue to the back mountain.

Although there are two days left until the festival, everyone in Porto Marinada Town has already started decorating the venue for the celebration.

Naoki knew about this because from the ranch, he could see the mountain path leading to the Abundant Shrine.

For the past two nights, the pathway has been lit, illuminating the way to the Abundant Shrine.

”Yes, we’ll definitely be there.” Naoki replied with a smile.

Zack appeared eager: ”It’ll definitely be lively, right? I heard a lot of tourists have come specifically to Porto Marinada Town! And I hear there’ll even be TV stations covering the event!”

”Certainly, I think Calyrex will be delighted to see such a scene.” Naoki said softly.

”That really makes you look forward to it!”

Thinking about the scene, Zack felt charged with energy.

Seeing the town he grew up in become more prosperous gives such a wonderful feeling!

Energized Zack left.

And Naoki began packing Poffins and Pokeblocks into boxes and handed them to the Dragonites working at the ranch.

After a day of hard work, the Dragonites happily left the ranch, filled with joy.

Once the Dragonites were gone, the ranch immediately felt much emptier.

Reflecting on today’s conversation with Nikar, Naoki took out the Rotom Phone from his pocket and began exploring its features.

He opened the camera and pointed it at the Gogoat lounging on the grass, then pressed the shutter.

The next second, the image froze, capturing Gogoat’s leisurely pose.

Hmm, the picture looks clear, now he can store Pokemon photos in the electronic album from now on.

After testing the camera feature, Naoki opened messages and calls.

Then, he discovered something miraculous.

It doesn’t require a SIM card in the Rotom Phone, which seems to have a built-in communication system, and users can view their phone number in the system settings.

It appears that as long as you know someone else’s number, you can communicate with them.

He then moved on to the map feature; Naoki opened the map, and the phone automatically located his current location - the outskirts of Porto Marinada Town.
