The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

Chapter 1393: Chapter 1393: Antique Mecha Return to the Jianghu

How to fight?

That’s a question.

Ji You raised her hand, touching her chin, and after thinking for a while, she asked, ”How do you want to fight? Body Technique? Spiritual power? Or Mecha battle?”

The others were fine, but if it was a Mecha battle, it would be a bit troublesome because Ji You currently didn’t have a Mecha, and the Little Golden Dragon didn’t count.

That thing is just a cripple now, temporarily unusable, only good for petting like a pet.

For a Mecha battle, she would need to find a Mecha, of course. Now, being at the Alliance First Military Academy, borrowing some training Mechas should be relatively easy.

Ji You thought briefly, then looked up, waiting for Shen Sheng’s answer.

Shen Sheng seemed to have already made up his mind and said, ”Mecha battle.”

A Mecha battle doesn’t just test combat skills but also the endurance of both parties’ Physical Strength and the strength of their spiritual power, making it a comprehensive contest.

As expected, Ji You nodded: ”Sure.”

Shen Sheng said, ”I have a request. I hope you use an antique mech to fight me.”

Ji You: ”???”

Ji You looked as if she misheard: ”Antique mech? Why do you have an obsession with it?”

Shen Sheng said, ”The same goes for me. I also can pilot an antique mech.”

At this point, Shen Sheng looked at Ji You with obvious admiration in his eyes: ”I watched the videos of your matches in the online competition, all those where you used antique mechs to participate. Although antique mechs are obsolete and have become merely symbolic relics, if it weren’t for you battling with antique mechs, I wouldn’t have realized that the level of weapons and equipment doesn’t depend on the weapon itself but on the person.

That was very enlightening for me.

Thank you, Ji You.

You’re very strong.

I admire you greatly; you managed to use an antique mech to defeat opponents with High-level Mechas because you brought out all of your power and potential.

You’re very smart.

I really admire you, to this day, no one thinks to use an antique mech to train themselves, develop their potential, and push their limits.

Inspired by you, since the online game, I’ve been training with an antique mech for an hour every day, and it’s been a huge improvement for me.” At this point, Shen Sheng looked at Ji You, suddenly expressed sincere thanks: ”Ji You, thank you.”

Ji You, hearing this, felt slightly embarrassed: ”Ahem... Thank you, thank you so much. Being able to help you, or others, makes me very happy.”

Ahem...

Awkward.

Speaking of antique mechs, Ji You had already put them on the back burner and couldn’t even remember the last time she used one.

If Shen Sheng knew the actual situation, would his idealized filter of her shatter?

Forget it.

Let the kid have some fantasies.

After seriously deciding, Ji You said, ”You want to use antique mechs? Are you sure you can win against me with an antique mech? I am an expert in using antique mechs, known as the Rag Queen.”

Her Rag Queen title wasn’t only due to the name but because she earned it step by step using those ragged mechs with her skills.

Upon hearing this, Shen Sheng smiled: ”Although you’re the Rag Queen, my understanding of antique mechs isn’t any less than yours.”

Ji You said, ”Then let’s do it.”

As someone well-versed in the art of ’timing,’ Ji You always took a strategic retreat when possible, and if not, she’d create an opportunity for it, but when truly faced with a necessary confrontation, Ji You never backed down.

On the contrary, Ji You would rise to the challenge.

Shen Sheng listened and happily asked immediately: ”Do you have an antique mech with you?”

Why carry that around?

Use it as a wheelchair?

Ahem...

Now, I’m no longer a poor dead; I can afford other Standard Mecha.

Of course, words can’t be said directly; otherwise, that idol filter would shatter, and that wouldn’t be good.

Thus, Ji You shook her head and earnestly said, ”I didn’t bring an antique mech, but I’ve always kept one in my heart.”

Shen Sheng: ”???”

Sheng Qingyan rolled her eyes and thoughtfully translated it into plain language for Shen Sheng: ”She means she didn’t bring one.”

”Oh——” Shen Sheng understood, then she took out a Mecha Space Button from her body and handed it to Ji You, ”Here you go.”

”An antique mech?” Ji You took it, smiling, ”You’re quite considerate.”

Shen Sheng said, ”I’ve applied for a battle arena at the academy, are you willing to fight me right now?”

Ji You raised an eyebrow: ”Why not?”

Shen Sheng said, ”Let’s go.”

Having reached an agreement, the onlookers immediately erupted!

These two are really going to fight!

Really.

And it’s happening right now!

The crowd followed Ji You and Shen Sheng, and in a flash, almost everyone at the plaza was gone.

Some who didn’t understand couldn’t help but ask: ”What’s happening? Why is no one watching the points leaderboard anymore?”

”Yeah, the Camp Battle isn’t over yet, why is everyone leaving?”

”Where are they all going?”

”So many people, a big group, all left in a flash, could it be that the cafeteria has introduced some delicious new natural food?”

”In your dreams, you all know the terrible cafeteria creations, how could the new food taste good? Someone’s going to fight.”

”Who?”

”Fighting in broad daylight?”

”No, it’s at the school’s battle arena.”

”Who is it?”

”Shen Sheng and Ji You!”

”What?!!! Why didn’t you say so earlier, there are so many people, I won’t find a good spot now.”

”Huh? Shen Sheng is about to beat someone up again? Who’s the unlucky one this time? I must go and cheer for Shen Sheng!!”

”Ji You!”

”Who? Ji You? Whoever it is, soon they’ll just be a casualty under Shen Sheng’s blade.”

...

With the commotion of the crowd, more and more people got the news, and everyone gave up their positions at the points leaderboard, all moving to the Alliance First Military Academy’s battle arena.

Ji You and Shen Sheng walked side by side, with sunlight shining down on them. One tall, one short, but their auras were evenly matched, equally prominent. Under the gaze of all, they exuded a leisurely and relaxed demeanor.

Sheng Qingyan followed behind them, continuously eating snacks, while Lou and Yue Qiguang walked alongside. Yue Qiguang had successfully snatched a piece of beef jerky, while Lou, unable to get any beef, was left with only a handful of sunflower seeds, and while munching on the seeds, Lou was somewhat worried: ”Number 4444 hasn’t fully recovered, can she really handle fighting Shen Sheng now?”

Yue Qiguang wasn’t worried at all and dismissively said: ”Is she a three-year-old kid? She knows her body better than anyone; let her handle it.”

Lou still seemed somewhat concerned: ”She should rest.”

”Lou, you’re such a nag...” Sheng Qingyan unwrapped a candy and, discovering it was strawberry-flavored and sweet, happily said, ”The poor dead knows what she’s doing, we don’t need to worry about her. We should really worry about ourselves. After eating so many of her snacks, will she extort us hard?”

Lou instantly jumped back: ”I only ate a handful of seeds.”

Yue Qiguang outright denied it: ”You’re the one who rented the snacks, I didn’t eat anything.”

Sheng Qingyan: ”...”

Sheng Qingyan huffed and said, ”Hmph, you’re really ticking off this Little Cutie.”
