The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

Chapter 1381: Chapter 1381: Coincidence

When Shaun heard what Ji You said, he felt he must have misheard. Then he turned his head to look at Liu Fufeng beside him, and in Liu Fufeng’s pitch‑black eyes there was a flash of confusion.

Then.

The floating elevator doors closed.

Shaun frowned and said, ”Your Highness, that person just now... seems like she wasn’t Ji You.”

Liu Fufeng thought for a moment and said, ”I must have mistaken her for someone else.”

Shaun said, ”She must still be in the treatment room right now.”

Liu Fufeng said, ”She should be.”

After speaking.

Liu Fufeng suddenly began to cough, his whole body shaking with it, and he looked like he was about to collapse. Shaun reached out, wanting to support him, but in the next second, Liu Fufeng leaned back against the wall.

Shaun’s hand froze mid‑air. Whether he helped or not, it felt wrong either way, and for a moment it was a bit awkward.

Then.

Just as Shaun was about to pull his hand back, Liu Fufeng, who had been bracing himself against the wall and pretending to be fine, suddenly started coughing violently.

”Cough, cough~”

”Cough, cough~”

”Cough, cough~”

The sound grew stronger and stronger, practically a heart‑wrenching, lung‑tearing cough.

Seeing this, Shaun felt that if he really kept ignoring him, it would seem far too cold‑blooded. So Shaun simply steeled himself, reached his hand toward Liu Fufeng, and said with a rather polite smile, ”Your Highness, do you need help? If you do, I can take you back to your independent dorm now.”

After Shaun spoke, he thought he would probably get rejected. After all, this Prince seemed very unwilling to interact with strangers. Unexpectedly, Liu Fufeng said, ”All right. But will this trouble you too much?”

Shaun shook his head and said, ”Not at all, not in the slightest. In fact, being able to serve you is my honor.”

Gratitude appeared on Liu Fufeng’s face, even with a hint of shyness. He said, ”Shaun, thank you so much then.”

Shaun raised his hand to scratch his head, showing a simple, honest smile. ”It’s really no trouble at all, you’re too polite.” Turned out His Highness the Prince looked cold, but was actually shy.

For a moment, Shaun felt a bit emotional.

Then.

Shaun reached out his hand.

Liu Fufeng first intended to try on his own, so he shook his head and tried to straighten up by himself. But after struggling for a bit, he still swayed and slumped back against the wall, and Shaun timely reached out and supported him.

This time, Liu Fufeng didn’t refuse and allowed Shaun to hold him up.

Then.

One supporting, one struggling to take a step.

...

By the time they got back to the dorm, it had taken ten minutes. A distance of not even 100 meters was forcibly walked in ten full minutes before they finally made it to the dorm.

Shaun helped Liu Fufeng to the sofa, poured him a glass of hot water, and after receiving a polite ”thank you” from Liu Fufeng, Shaun felt it would be inappropriate to stay any longer and said his farewells.

Liu Fufeng didn’t try to keep him.

Shaun lifted his foot to leave, and only after the door closed did he slightly let out a breath of relief.

The next second.

The shyness and bashfulness on that pretty face of Liu Fufeng vanished in an instant. He had been watching Shaun’s departing back the whole time; only after the door fully shut did he show a pensive expression.

...

On the other side.

Shaun exited the room where Liu Fufeng lived, walked a few meters, and only stopped when he reached another door. This was his own dorm. It was less than ten meters away from Liu Fufeng’s. The reason Shaun had run into Liu Fufeng was precisely because their dorms were so close; the two had bumped into each other at the elevator, and so they took it together.

It seemed like quite the coincidence.

Exactly!

Everything really was just a coincidence. It wasn’t that Shaun was deliberately trying to get close to Liu Fufeng; he had genuinely run into this famously notorious former Crown Prince by chance.

At the time, Shaun had just finished his Medicine Bath and come out of the Medicine Bath room. This Medicine Bath had been specially prepared for him by his mentor, Principal Qu of the First Army. It could strengthen the body, and beyond that, it was practically a divine medicine: just one soak and all the muscle soreness in the body would vanish, and even mental fatigue and wounds could be washed clean.

Mental fatigue and wounds weren’t something that could be easily dispelled. In the past, it always took a long time to recover, but now a single Medicine Bath could get rid of them.

But!

This Medicine Bath also had side effects. It easily caused dependency and, if used in excessive amounts, would damage the body and the Spiritual World. Therefore, the dosage had to be strictly controlled.

Originally, when Shaun applied to his mentor to use the Medicine Bath, he was refused. Later, after Shaun applied several more times in a row, the mentor finally agreed.

The match process had been downright infuriating.

Realizing that he wasn’t strong enough and that was why he’d been duped by a scammer like Ji You, Shaun wanted to improve himself as fast as possible, so he applied for the Medicine Bath again.

After the soak, his whole body felt relaxed.

When Shaun pushed open the door, he ran straight into Liu Fufeng.

Liu Fufeng’s face was original, untouched by any adjustments. Anyone who paid attention to international affairs would more or less recognize that face.

Therefore, it wasn’t strange at all that Shaun recognized him as an Imperial Prince of the Galaxy Empire.

And who was Liu Fufeng?

He wasn’t just any ordinary Prince. He was the Galaxy Empire’s former Crown Prince, once the Empire’s first in line to the throne. And now?

Now he was the famously notorious crown prince.

The whole affair had blown up not long ago, with all sorts of gossip emerging one after another,

and while they were sitting in the floating elevator, Liu Fufeng’s body had looked extremely poor, as if he could topple over at any time, or collapse and not get up again. Shaun had originally wanted to pretend he hadn’t seen anything, but he really couldn’t bear the weight of his conscience, so he’d offered to escort Liu Fufeng back.

Liu Fufeng had refused.

Shaun didn’t leave right away, though, and followed behind.

Later.

Later was when, at the elevator entrance, he mistakenly thought he’d run into Ji You.

Shaun clenched his fist hard. If he really did run into Ji You, he was definitely going to give him a punch!

In the dorm just a few meters away.

Liu Fufeng, lost in thought, quietly stared in the direction of the door. A few seconds later, he raised his hand, brought it to his nose, and lightly sniffed.

There was still a trace of Shaun’s scent left on his fingers here.

He sniffed it briefly.

Liu Fufeng moved his hand away, then stood up and walked toward the bathroom. His figure was very thin and fragile, matching his name perfectly—like a weak willow in the wind.

But his steps were steady as he walked toward the bathroom one step at a time.

After taking off his clothes, he washed himself carefully and thoroughly. Only when he was sure that not a single trace of that smell remained on his body did he stop.

...

On the other side.

Ji You sat in the wheelchair, doing his best to keep up with Lou. ”Gege, don’t walk so fast, I can’t even catch up.”

Lou: ”...”

Lou’s whole body shivered, and he almost shook off all his goosebumps. He snapped his head around and said, ”Can you not use that tone? And stop calling me gege, will you?”

Ji You tilted his head, looking completely innocent. ”Huh? Why?”

”I really can’t take it.” Lou cursed, ”You’re going to call me to death.”
