The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

Chapter 1392: Chapter 1392: Just an Afterthought

Shen Sheng looked at Ji You and Sheng Qingyan in front of him. Both of them glared at him, their eyes, clearly contrasting in black and white, filled with accusation, along with their subtle movements of stuffing snacks into their pockets.

Shen Sheng remained calm and open-minded. These snacks were originally intended for Ji You anyway. She heard Ji You was quite stingy, never engaging in loss-making deals, ahem... nor taking jobs that don’t pay. These snacks were to persuade Ji You to agree to compete with her.

Ji You is eating now, whether eating a lot or a little...

It doesn’t matter.

As long as she agrees to a match with her.

Having thought it all through, Shen Sheng’s gaze fell on Sheng Qingyan, her eyes brightened, and she immediately said, ”How about you two fight me together?”

”Huh?” Ji You tilted her head, paused her chewing of beef jerky, thinking she misheard: ”What did you say?”

”Oh?” Sheng Qingyan also stopped the action of putting snacks in her pocket, tilting her head with a puzzled face: ”What did you say, oh?”

Looking at the dwindling amount of snacks on the table, Shen Sheng couldn’t help but show a trace of smugness in her eye.

This is what they mean by having short hands after taking things, and feeling soft-spoken after eating others’ food, right?

It’s done.

With a sense of small triumph of having schemed successfully, Shen Sheng looked at them earnestly and said, ”I said, you two fight me.”

As soon as the words fell, the atmosphere on the scene suddenly shifted.

Sheng Qingyan closed her pocket.

Ji You put down the beef jerky.

Both of them looked at Shen Sheng together, Ji You squinted her eyes, saying: ”You want to fight both of us by yourself?”

Sheng Qingyan said: ”Be cautious, oh.”

Shen Sheng, a cool and composed person, faced the suddenly surging aura from the two without the slightest panic, articulating clearly: ”Both of you fight me. We’ll have 3 matches in total. Two one-on-one matches; that is, each of you will fight me alone once. Then, both of you fight me together once.”

After her explanation, the spectators collectively gasped.

Wow... Such big words!

Shen Sheng is too strong! She dares to take on two and wants to have 3 matches!

Indeed a strong person! What they do is different from the rest.

For a moment, the students in the square witnessed everything, spreading word from one to ten, ten to a hundred... The crowd of students surrounding them grew denser, almost enclosing the small patch of space where Ji You and the others were.

On the scene.

Shen Sheng looked at the two, with eyes like obsidian that held a gleam: ”Shall we fight?”

Sheng Qingyan crossed her arms, tilted her head: ”You’re quite greedy, oh... just these few snacks, oh, and you want to buy us into 3 matches, oh?”

Cough cough...

With her little plan being exposed on the spot, Shen Sheng’s dark pupils dimmed.

It seems it won’t work.

Not embarrassed, just a bit regretful.

Then.

Shen Sheng was about to speak but suddenly noticed Ji You sitting in a wheelchair, smiling at her with curved lips and asked, ”Are you sure you want to fight us?”

Shen Sheng nodded vigorously.

After pondering, Shen Sheng said: ”We might meet in the promotion matches, but I calculated the odds; there are 50 members promoted in total, and the likelihood of us meeting is quite low. So, let’s fight privately. I... I really want to compete with you offline.”

Upon hearing this, Ji You straightforwardly replied: ”Alright, I agree.”

Shen Sheng was suddenly elated.

Next second.

Ji You said: ”I’ll fight you 3 matches and take all the snacks.”

Shen Sheng: ”...”

Sheng Qingyan exploded instantly: ”Poor dead oh, don’t try to hog all the snacks alone, oh. With me here, dream on if you want to keep all the snacks to yourself, oh.”

With that, Sheng Qingyan swept away the laziness, immediately rolled up her sleeves and walked over to Shen Sheng, saying, ”Let’s go, oh, I’ll join you for a match, oh.”

Shen Sheng remained silent.

Then.

In front of everyone, Shen Sheng shook her head, saying: ”No, I will fight Ji You.”

Sheng Qingyan: ”...”

”Puhahah...”

”Hahaha...”

”It’s killing me with laughter...”

”So amusing, look at Sheng Qingyan’s face, it’s turning absolutely green!”

”Green? Look, it’s red now! Ah! Black! Such skillful face-changing, Brother Sheng, did you especially study Sichuan Opera face-changing?”

”Hahaha... How tragic! Being publicly disliked, hahahaha...”

The onlookers were about to laugh themselves dizzy, their heads almost falling off in laughter. Sheng Qingyan felt genuinely furious now, angered to the point of almost exploding, stomping his foot: ”You... You, oh!”

”You’re pissing me off, oh...” Sheng Qingyan raised a finger, pointing at Shen Sheng, glaring, with her chest heaving in rage, her face alternating between shades of blue and white, ”My points rank second, oh! Second, oh!” Emphasizing the word ’second’ with a strong bite and significant force.

Shen Sheng, unwavering, with a heart of stone, declared: ”I only want to fight Ji You in 3 matches.”

Sheng Qingyan choked again, pointing at Shen Sheng, cursing: ”Poor dead is ranked third, oh! Third, oh!”

Shen Sheng remained unmoved, stubbornly said: ”I’ll only fight her.”

”...” Sheng Qingyan took a deep breath, saying: ”I’m also very strong, oh.”

Shen Sheng glanced at Sheng Qingyan’s stuffed, bulging pockets and said: ”Give the snacks to Ji You; I want to fight her.”

Seeing Sheng Qingyan’s resolute look, unwilling to give up, Shen Sheng, straightforward and sincere in her dealings, said calmly: ”I just said to have 3 matches with you all, you’re just a bonus. Now Ji You agreed to fight me in 3 matches, I don’t want to fight you anymore.”

Sheng Qingyan: ”...”

Sheng Qingyan’s face once again displayed some quite spectacular Sichuan Opera face-changing.

”Puhahaha...”

”Bonus.”

”Hahaha... It’s like a slap right across the face!”

”Savage.”

”Sheng Qingyan’s face, there’s just no place to put it.”

”If it were me, I’d find a crack to crawl into right then.”

”Go Shen Sheng! Challenge this group from Lanyue Star and take them all down!”

”Yes, knock their teeth out so they have to crawl away crying.”

”Take them down wailing and crying.”

...

In the square, most of those gathering were students from the First Army of the Alliance with only a few from the other school participating in this competition, hence when seeing their school’s Shen Sheng issue a challenge to the students of Lanyue Star, all the First Army students were excited.

Each and every one of them opened their mouths and shouted, clamoring.

Shen Sheng, Ji You, and Sheng Qingyan remained unaffected by the shouts from these students, looking at each other, with Sheng Qingyan having gone through countless face-changes, remained silent for a moment, then suddenly smiled with curved lips, saying: ”Alright, I won’t fight then, oh.”

With that, Sheng Qingyan patted his bulging pocket, saying: ”Poor dead, oh, I’ll help you keep these snacks safe, oh.”

How to keep them safe?

Of course, by keeping them safe with the stomach.

Feeling joyful, Sheng Qingyan circled around, expressing his generosity by letting Ji You have the chance to fight.

Ji You gave him a sidelong glance; his little scheme is known to no one else. Ji You casually said: ”I’ll lend them to you. Rent will be 30% of the snacks’ value.”

Sheng Qingyan: ”...”

Shen Sheng immediately said: ”30% totals 30,000 credit points, oh.”

Sheng Qingyan dramatically put his hands on his hips, cursing: ”You two stinking troublemakers, get lost, oh. I don’t care for your snacks, oh.”

Claiming not to care, yet he took the snacks along.

Shen Sheng and Ji You no longer paid attention to him, they both turned, exchanged a look, and simultaneously asked: ”How shall we fight?”
