The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

Chapter 1357: Chapter 1357: Cooking Porridge

After arguing with the system for a while, and gaining the right to strip the clothes off dead enemies, Ji You naturally received all the furious anger from the ’deceased’ enemies.

But Ji You didn’t care in the slightest and simply said, ”This is called recycling, do you understand?”

They didn’t understand!

They didn’t want to understand!

Not only did they not understand, they were also particularly angry!

But Ji You didn’t care what they thought, after all, who would care about the thoughts of ’dead’ people? After arguing with the system and winning, Ji You didn’t have time to strip the enemies herself, as she had to rush to surround Charles Commander Base. So, she messaged He Nu, Gu Peiyuan, and others, asking them to pick up food and weapons and then strip the clothes here at the checkpoint as well.

Hence, these clothes were actually brought over by He Nu and the others conveniently.

When stripping clothes, the shameful and angry look in those people’s eyes was not worth mentioning, but when their group of dozens quickly stripped clothes, they mostly stripped the enemies completely, leaving only their underwear to preserve their dignity.

Ahem...

The scene wasn’t very glamorous, so it need not be mentioned.

In any case, He Nu and his group perfectly completed the task.

Lou’s army could have nearly 400 people, and the number Ji You brought over was exactly 400, so these clothes were just enough to go around.

Of course, Ji You didn’t bring everyone over at once. The 5th Camp had lost about 100 people for various reasons. At this point, there were about 500 people left at the 5th Camp front, serving as Ji You’s backup and support for Cheng Haoyue and others. If Ji You and the others couldn’t return on time and Charles and his team broke free from the trap, Cheng Haoyue and others might not be able to stop Charles’s team from seizing the Array Flag.

In warfare, especially war concerning the lives of countless warriors and civilians, multiple preparations had to be made. Ji You wouldn’t put all her eggs in one basket; she had to ensure victory without fail.

Looking at the food, weapons, clothes, and various supplies, Ji You appeared calm on the surface but was burning with excitement inside!

These were all good things, things that could prolong the survival of her troops.

Then, Ji You gave an order: ”Teams 1 and 2 are responsible for setting up pots and making meals; Teams 3 and 4 are to distribute clothes and weapons. After receiving supplies, everyone except the cooking teams should do laps around the site in 10 minutes!”

With one word, everyone performed their duties, and everything was in order.

Of course, it wasn’t entirely harmonious, for example:

”Wait, Captain, didn’t you give me the wrong clothes? These are women’s clothes, how can I, a grown man, wear them?”

”Oh? Let me see... Indeed, they’re for women.” Upon glancing, the Captain of Team 3 said, ”There’s no helping it; there are more women in the enemy camp than us, and the sizes and styles don’t fully match. You’ll have to manage for now.”

With that, the Captain of Team 3 immediately tried to slip away.

The man, originally waiting expectantly for the Captain to swap his clothes, was left stunned when the Captain said this and tried to walk away. It was like a bolt from the blue, and hurriedly, he grabbed the captain: ”The problem is I can’t wear these clothes, no matter how much I try.”

He was not the only one with such a predicament; in fact, it eventually reached Ji You.

Upon hearing this, Ji You contemplated for a moment and then said, ”Alright, since we can’t temporarily provide you with proper men’s clothes, you can dismantle the set you’ve got and turn them into scarves, hats, ear muffs, or foot mats... whatever you like. Once we capture the enemy’s commander base, I’ll provide new clothes.”

More stripping?

Outside the screen, those just eliminated students quivered after hearing this.

Of course, Ji You’s warriors were all satisfied. Especially the first man who reported to Ji You, who even received personally made hats and scarves from Commander Ji You. Under the firelight, everyone could finally see how skillful Ji You’s hands were.

They saw her pull out a paper-folded knife from her pocket, slice a few times, and the clothes were cut into pieces. Then, she pulled out some threads from the clothes, found a feather the size of a toothpick from an arrow’s fletching for a needle, and began to sew...

That movement was so fluid that just watching it was a pleasure.

When Ji You finished, she found everyone staring at her hands with mouths agape, and she calmly said, ”I minored in the Material Processing Department, these are basic skills, don’t be surprised. Did you all see my movements clearly just now? Now go and do as I showed you.”

For a moment, no one moved.

Are you kidding?

This is basic skill for the Material Department?

Did they all never attend Material Processing Department classes?

Ji You lowered her eyes: ”Move faster.”

In an instant, the crowd dispersed.

Liu Jia, He Yu, He Nu, Wang Xin, and Gu Peiyuan all thick-skinned gathered around Ji You. At this moment, Gu Peiyuan had none of the composure of a former commander left; he showered Ji You with compliments before turning the conversation to ask Ji You to make him a small hat.

In response, Ji You smiled slightly and said, ”Come over here, I think you need a dizzy spell buff more!”

Upon hearing this, Gu Peiyuan quickly walked away.

Liu Jia, He Yu, and the others dared not ask again. He Yu, watching Ji You’s hands, couldn’t help but feel moved and said, ”Commander, when you were making things just now, you have no idea how pleasing it was to watch. I felt so cold before, but watching you make that hat, I didn’t feel cold at all anymore.”

Wang Xin also chimed in, ”I felt the same way, but it wasn’t just that, I even felt less stressed.”

He Nu nodded: ”Me too.”

Gu Peiyuan, who had walked away, came back, and upon hearing everyone’s appreciation, he scoffed, ”What’s strange about that? It’s because her spiritual power overflowed when she made the hat and affected you all.”

Simply put, Ji You’s spiritual power was influencing the surrounding students.

Ji You didn’t explain, she kept her eyes on the enemy camp ahead.

Then.

Once all clothes were distributed, everyone was now layering an extra piece, enhancing their ability to stay warm and resist the cold.

The two teams responsible for setting up meals had already started. This time, they brought over four large pots from Lou Camp, needing only to build four stoves. Once the stoves were built, the fire rose quickly.

Crackle, crackle~

Sparks flew.

It started to boil, with a faint scent of rice wafting from the big pot, causing many people’s stomachs to grumble, with some even drooling.

...

Then, Ji You began leading the large group, running laps around the enemy’s base. With each lap, their range shrunk, and all of this was witnessed by the students inside Charles Base.

”It’s too much.”

”Really too much.”

”She’s torturing not only our bodies but also our minds. If she had any humanity left, she wouldn’t stew porridge right in front of us.”
