Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

91: With this bug, it’s hard not to win.Si Nan looked at the helmet that was being affectionately treated and asked Luo Sen, ”Do you even know what that is? You’re just kissing it.”

Luo Sen tossed his head back and said proudly, ”Mom said if you like something, you should give it a kiss. Sen Sen likes Big Sister, so Sen Sen kisses her.”

”Sigh~” Si Nan pressed a hand to her forehead. ”Your mother was wrong. You don’t kiss everything you like. If Big Sister likes this big tree, should I kiss it too? You have to distinguish between things.”

Luo Sen was quite logical. ”That’s why Sen Sen only kisses Big Sister and doesn’t kiss the big tree.”

“---”

She was actually speechless. ”You have a point.”

While talking, they had already reached a hardware store. Fortunately, there wasn’t a single zombie inside, and all the supplies were still there. She had her eye on the iron wire and long steel bars; these were great for raising and reinforcing the perimeter walls.

It was just that the iron wire was too thin. It would be better if it were steel wire or stainless steel. There were many factories on the outskirts of City A; it seemed she would have to make a trip there. The residential complex was too large, and these supplies were far from enough.

After emptying this hardware store, there was no point staying on this street. They got into the car and headed elsewhere.

Along the way, people in high-rise buildings called out to her for help, but she didn’t pay them any attention. This angered one person so much that they threw a snowball at her.

”Roar!” Luo Sen was enraged. He looked up at the person and made a move as if to rush up and kill them.

Si Nan held him back. ”Let’s not go. It’s a waste of time. Finding food is more important.”

”But he’s mean.” Luo Sen pointed at the high-rise building above them.

Si Nan said, ”It’s okay. He’ll die soon anyway. If we can’t find more food, we’ll starve to death too.”

”Then Big Sister, drive fast.” Luo Sen nimbly hopped back into the car.

This elicited a light chuckle from Si Nan. ”Hahaha, exactly. That’s the way. No need to pay attention to those people. They’re just jealous of us. Ignoring them will frustrate them to death.”

”Yay, we’re still the winners.” Luo Sen made a peace sign.

Si Nan nodded. ”Right, we’re still the winners.”

With a cheat like him around, it was hard not to win.

Ten minutes later, Si Nan turned onto another street. This street was a bit more secluded. Aside from weight loss clinics and beauty massage parlors, there were mostly renovation companies. To her surprise, half of the storefronts were intact with their doors tightly shut; it seemed there were still living people inside.

She ignored the closed shops and instead searched through all the ones with wide-open doors. She picked a stone materials shop and walked in with Luo Sen. Inside were stone samples. After searching for a long while, she finally found what she needed—a cutting machine!

To reinforce and raise the walls, materials needed to be cut. This kind of diamond-tipped cutting machine was the best helper. She took all the machines she could carry from the shop and didn’t leave a single piece of stone behind; they might come in handy.

On the way, she scoured the other open shops but didn’t see a single scrap of food, not even a bag of instant noodles. It went without saying that they had been scavenged by the living people nearby.

Continuing on, there was a row of clothing stores. She raised an eyebrow. ”Hmm, these are perfectly preserved and the locks are still on. It looks like they’re untouched. Luo Sen, let’s go. We’ll take all the clothes inside.”

Si Nan thought about it and realized it made sense. The virus broke out around ten at night. At that time, many shops had already closed for the day. Moreover, these kinds of shops didn’t sell food, so naturally, no one would bother looting them.

But she liked them. They were all brand-new designer clothes. Most importantly, it was a ’zero-dollar shopping’ trip; it would be a waste not to take them. Anyway, her space was empty and so massive she didn’t even know how big it was.

Luo Sen took the lead. His hand was like a pair of pliers; with a squeeze and a ”crack,” the thick door lock was crushed by him.

Si Nan looked at the military shovel she had held out, then quickly looked at her own hand, feeling a lingering fear. If she let Luo Sen hold her hand later, would it also go ”crack” and be completely crushed?

Thinking of this, she quickly pulled her hand back.

Luo Sen had already opened the glass door. ”Big Sister, Sen Sen has new clothes to wear.”

This was a men’s clothing store, and it was quite large. Inside hung all sorts of fashionable men’s casual winter wear, and there was even a storage room in the back.

”Big Sister, snacks!” Luo Sen immediately spotted some refreshments—things like nuts and dried fruits.

She praised him, ”Mm, not bad. Take them all.”

Besides that, there were two stock cases of coffee and some small packages of nuts and dried fruits, which were an unexpected bonus. After collecting everything, she even took the tables, chairs, and stools in the shop.

The second shop was women’s clothing; she didn’t mind and just kept collecting everything.

She liked the third shop even more—a maternity and baby store. Not only were there many children’s clothes, but also many displays of milk powder, diapers, and so on. Basically, everything a Child could need was there. She smiled. ”If I’d known, I would have brought Bai Zichuan and Song Yuan.”

She took out two large bags from her space and packed them full, intended as future rewards for Bai Zichuan and Song Yuan. Everything else she swept into her space until not even a hair was left; she truly left nothing behind wherever she went.

After she left, the shops on both sides of the road were nothing but empty shells. If the wind blew, it could pass from the front door to the back door without any obstruction.

The two of them worked together. Luo Sen was responsible for clearing the path and breaking down doors, while she was responsible for collecting everything, right up until lunchtime.

Si Nan chose a shop and locked the door. She took out several dishes from her space and laid them on the table. ”Eat up. After we finish, we’ll continue searching. We’re still missing a lot of the materials we need.”

”Mm-hmm, Big Sister’s hand can do magic tricks.” Luo Sen held Si Nan’s hand and looked at it repeatedly.

Si Nan pulled it back. ”Yes, my hand can do magic. Let’s eat quickly, or it’ll get cold and won’t taste good.”

Luo Sen nodded. ”Mm-hmm, Sen Sen is being good.”

He really did stop talking and focused intently on eating, but he ate too fast and had a staggering appetite. Si Nan had only just finished a third of the rice in her bowl when Luo Sen had already finished a large basin of rice and all the dishes, leaving her only half a bowl of side dishes.

“---”

A total giant baby!

Afterward, he stared straight at Si Nan, making her feel a bit uneasy. ”What’s wrong? Not full?”

”Mm-hmm, hungry.” Luo Sen nodded obediently.

”Alright, keep eating.” Helplessly, Si Nan took out three more dishes, a soup, and a bag of steamed buns for him.

While the two were eating happily, Luo Sen suddenly slammed the bowl in his hand onto the table. With a murderous expression, he looked out the door as dozens of Zombie Dogs, large and small, came charging toward them.

Bang! One of the larger ones crashed directly into the glass door. It bared its teeth, its mouth missing a chunk and dripping black saliva, as it glared at Si Nan and Luo Sen inside.

Si Nan was also startled. ”How can there be so many Zombie Dogs all of a sudden?”

They hadn’t encountered a single one along the way, yet now dozens appeared at once. Si Nan suddenly thought of something and rushed to the door to check on her armored vehicle.

She had guessed correctly. A group of people was driving a makeshift, mismatched armored vehicle of their own and was towing away her armored vehicle.
