Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

65: You have no right to die by my hand.Just as Gouzi was psyching up his two companions, a sharp arrow suddenly whistled through the air, grazing his cheek before thudding into Third Master’s chest—landing, by some cruel twist of fate, in the exact same spot as before.

”Ah—” Third Master was in too much pain to even speak.

The clever Gouzi and his two friends scrambled back to the base of the wall, terrified that Si Nan’s next shot would be aimed at them. Looking at the miserable state of Third Master, the three of them couldn’t care less about him anymore; shaking like leaves, they hugged the wall and began to edge away bit by bit.

Seeing the younger generation of his own clan abandon him, Third Master knew he wouldn’t survive. ”You... you all—”

Before he could finish his sentence, his breath left him. His eyes remained fixed on the three juniors, staring even in death as if he still wanted to be carried back.

”Hmm, good archery. Old Si taught me well.” Si Nan looked up at the sky and praised her father before putting down her Compound Bow and heading downstairs to continue opening blind boxes.

Her bottom had just touched the soft sofa when WeChat chimed three times in a row. Frowning, she opened it. ”Who’s bothering me while I’m opening blind boxes? Pinging me so urgently?”

She opened the app to find a friend request from a stranger, sent three times in succession: ”I’m Zhuo Guangshun from Room 106. Baldy Deng has agreed to my proposal. He’s coming to see you in a modified armored car.”

”The condition is that you must provide him with double the food (twice what you just gave me), plus my share as the middleman. You’ll need to give us triple in total.”

Si Nan: ”...”

If she could get an invincible armored car, that amount of food was nothing. However... She accepted the request and replied, ”You haven’t even arrived, and I haven’t seen the goods, yet you’re already demanding an exorbitant price. I can give you the triple food you want, but the armored car must be modified according to my requirements. Otherwise, it’s just a piece of scrap metal. Wait a moment.”

”Scrap metal?” Zhuo Guangshun nearly spat blood when he saw those words. This wasn’t just an insult to him—Zhuo Guangshun never associated with trash—it was also an insult to Deng Jiude.

If it weren’t for this terrifying virus outbreak, she wouldn’t even be qualified to know someone like Deng Jiude. To think she dared to call Deng Jiude’s modifications ’scrap metal’—it infuriated him.

”I wonder what Baldy Deng will think when he sees this?” With a tap of his finger, he sent a screenshot of the message to Deng Jiude.

The other man replied instantly: ”An insult! This is a total insult! I’m not going. Let her use actual scrap metal to deal with the zombies then!”

Seeing his friend lose his temper, Zhuo Guangshun finally felt some psychological balance. He poked at Deng Jiude’s sore spot: ”Then go out and scavenge for food yourself from now on. That little girl might be infuriatingly blunt, but I think she’s shrewd and steady.”

”Old Zhuo, whose side are you on? You haven’t taken a liking to her, have you? An old cow wanting tender grass?”

”What nonsense are you talking? Give me a straight answer: are you coming or not? If you don’t come, even I can’t save you.”

”You make it sound like I can grow wings and fly there easily. I might not even make it to your place alive.”

”So you’re coming?”

”I’m coming! I’ll risk it. I also want to see if this ’infuriating’ girl you mentioned is a fairy descended to earth or a reincarnation of a deity, to have someone like you—who usually keeps his eyes on the clouds—drooling over her. Give me three days.”

”Fine. Call me if you’re not dead when you arrive. If you’re dead, don’t bother me.”

”You old geezer, just you wait!”

Two mature men, whose combined ages were nearly a hundred, were bickering like two three-year-olds.

Soon, a rough sketch of an armored car was sent to Zhuo Guangshun, with detailed requirements and materials listed on the side. Although Zhuo Guangshun wasn’t a professional, he felt a spontaneous sense of admiration for Si Nan the moment he saw the sketch.

”How is this possible? How can a young girl in her early twenties design an armored car? And so exquisitely, too. She even clearly specified how many cylinders to use, what model, what materials for the armor plating, the thickness of the bulletproof glass, and so on.”

”This is an expert. You’ve met your match.” He immediately forwarded the sketch to Deng Jiude.

There was no response from the other end for a long time.

Zhuo Guangshun didn’t rush him, because he knew his friend must be just as shocked as he was.

After a full ten minutes, Deng Jiude finally replied with two short words: ”Brilliant!”

That said it all.

”Hahaha, I can’t wait to meet that girl you mentioned. Wait for me.” After saying this, Deng Jiude went silent.

Zhuo Guangshun put away his phone and looked toward Si Nan’s third floor, stroking his stubble with a meaningful expression.

Si Nan, completely unaware of all this, didn’t know she had suddenly gained two old fanboys. Tired of opening blind boxes, she was boredly browsing various group messages.

When she looked at the Property Owner Group, those who had begged her for food and been rejected were now cursing her frantically.

”Si Nan, you heartless jinx! I’ll live every day just to watch you suffer!”

”Ahhh, Si Nan isn’t human, she’s a beast! She just shot someone dead with an arrow and pinned them to a tree trunk—a shot straight through the heart!”

”Si Nan is a devil! She’s a devil!”

”Si Nan, your heart must be pitch black. One day, when I dig it out, I’ll definitely cook it in a pot, slice it up, and eat it piece by piece with a fork!”

”You clearly have endless food but won’t share any with us. You’re a devil! If you have the guts, come over and kill me too!”

Si Nan @’d the last person: ”You’re not qualified to die by my hand.”

”Ah, the devil has appeared! Everyone, curse her!”

That person replied to Si Nan: ”You just wait.”

About ten minutes later, Bai Zichuan posted a photo of a bloody severed head in their small group, adding, ”No food needed this time. I just couldn’t stand the sight of this guy.”

He didn’t @ Si Nan.

Ma Bufan @’d her: ”Sister Nan, Big Brother Bai has avenged you.”

Si Nan only saw it half an hour later because she had made herself a sumptuous weight-loss dinner. Looking at the bloody head, Si Nan actually found her meal even more appetizing. She @’d Bai Zichuan in the group: ”Mm, thanks.”

Bai Zichuan replied immediately, ”No need for thanks. We’re family now.”

Many Property Owners were still patrolling the perimeter of the complex in the freezing cold, tens of degrees below zero, trembling with fear. Their phones were so cold they wouldn’t even turn on, and when they finally managed to open them, they saw Si Nan cursing people with such carefree arrogance. Their sense of balance instantly shattered:

”Si Nan, if you’re so capable, why don’t you come down and kill all the zombies? You won’t survive either if the walls are breached.”

Ma Bufan saw this. ”Damn it, if you’ve got the guts, tell me which unit and room number you live in!”

He then reposted the photo of the bloody head to the Property Owner Group.

That person immediately went silent, and their phone fell into a snowdrift with a ”thud.”

Immediately after, the Property Owner Group exploded again: ”Ahhh, that devil Si Nan has killed again!”

No one paid attention to this comment, because the power suddenly went out with a ”pop.” The group was instantly flooded with messages: ”Ah, why is the power out?”
