Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

55: I don’t want waste. When Si Nan opened the courtyard gate, the two of them quickly leaned against each side of the gate, their mouths agape as they looked inside. ”Wow, Sister’s courtyard is so beautiful! Look, there’s even a swing.”

”What should we do, what should we do? I really want to go in and play.”

But being clever, neither of them shouted at Si Nan to let them in, nor did they take a single step into the courtyard. They continued moving the bodies until the gate closed.

It was as if they weren’t the ones who had just killed people; they were still in high spirits, completely unaffected.

Ten minutes later, Si Nan came out. Besides a crate of cola, she was also dragging two large nylon bags of courier packages. ”These are all yours now.”

”Thank you, Sister.”

Ma Bufan didn’t look that happy. He glanced at the items and suddenly, like an adult, asked Si Nan in a serious and earnest tone, ”Sister, please take us in as your followers and teach us martial arts. I’ve been trying to contact my family these past few days, but no one answers the phone. I think they’ve already—”

Ma Bufan couldn’t go on, and tears fell directly from his eyes.

Guan Xiaoning also said, ”Sister, me too. In the beginning, when I called my parents, they were still alive. They told me not to go anywhere and to try and get as much food as possible. They said they couldn’t save us anymore.”

”When I called them again the day before yesterday, no one answered. Sister, we are already orphans with no father or mother. Please take us in. We just want to survive in this Apocalypse.”

”Sister, please take us in and teach us martial arts. As long as we can become stronger, we’ll do anything you ask.”

Ma Bufan and Guan Xiaoning fell to their knees with a ”thud” in front of Si Nan, looking up at her earnestly.

Si Nan looked at them, unmoved. Were the lessons from her past life not enough? She wouldn’t do anything stupid again.

Seeing Si Nan hesitate, Ma Bufan pointed at Guan Xiaoning and said, ”Right, right, Xiao Ning’s sister is a high school student, but she’s been learning medicine from her father since she was a Child. She can treat wounds, give injections, and do stitches. She was originally going to apply to medical school for the college entrance exam. Sister, you can make use of her.”

”Oh, she knows medicine?” This successfully piqued Si Nan’s interest. ”It seems you also understand that I don’t want useless people. Fine, I’ll take the three of you in. But you cannot dream of living in my courtyard. If you want to follow me, you must prove that you can survive in this chaotic world.”

The two of them hugged each other excitedly. ”Great! Sister has accepted us. Thank you, Sister. Don’t worry, Sister, we will definitely prove it to you.”

”Go back. I’ll call you if I need anything. From now on, just call me Sister Nan.” Si Nan waved her hand and went back into the courtyard.

”Yes, Sister Nan.” Ma Bufan and Guan Xiaoning couldn’t have been happier. They quickly finished moving the remaining corpses, then each dragged a nylon bag and left happily.

”I don’t care, I met Sister Nan first. I’m Sister Nan’s number one follower, Xiao Ning, you’re number two, and Sister Xiao Wen is number three.”

”In your dreams! I’m a month older than you. I’m number one, you’re number two, and my sister is number three.”

”Yeah, right. If it weren’t for me, how could you have had the chance to meet Sister Nan? I’m the leader—”

The two of them argued all the way back.

Si Nan hid behind the courtyard gate, listening to the two of them bickering out of jealousy, and felt strangely good. These two little fellows were indeed promising talents; with proper training, they would definitely be good helpers.

How should she teach them martial arts?

Suddenly, her eyes lit up. ”Right, record videos.”

So, after going upstairs, she recorded some Fundamentals and sent them to Ma Bufan, telling the two of them to record themselves practicing for her every day.

When Ma Bufan got home and opened the bag, he saw it was full of unopened courier packages. He suddenly ran to the window to look at the main road in the distance. What he saw made his heart skip a beat. ”These couldn’t have been brought here by Sister just now, could they? Because the courier truck is gone.”

Hearing his words, Guan Xiaoning also hurriedly looked into the distance. ”Oh my God, the three Oil Tankers and four express delivery containers are all gone. How did Sister Nan do it?”

Ma Bufan leaned against the window, his voice trembling in confusion. ”The key is that I didn’t hear the sound of any Oil Tankers or express delivery containers moving, nor did I see Sister Nan driving them back when she returned.”

”Could Sister Nan have a warehouse outside the neighborhood?” Guan Xiaoning added.

The two of them shook their heads in unison. ”Impossible. Nowadays, who wouldn’t keep their supplies under lock and key at home? Who would leave them outside where it’s full of Zombies?”

Sister Xiao Wen walked over. ”Since you’ve made up your minds to follow Sister Si Nan, then don’t doubt her, and certainly don’t ask her. This is her own secret.”

”I think this is the rule she wants, and it’s also the basis on which we can follow her.”

Ma Bufan and Guan Xiaoning immediately understood. ”Right, Sister Nan set rules for us as soon as we met, but she’s definitely reasonable. That’s enough. Come, come, come, let’s open the blind boxes! I’m so happy today.”

The three teenagers suddenly became lively. It was simple; they stopped thinking about everything else and sat down happily to open the packages.

”Oh my god, this one actually has individually wrapped, fragrant bread.”

”Hahaha, look at mine, it’s—it’s the chocolate I like! Yay~”

”Thank you, Sister Nan.” The three of them turned around and kowtowed in unison toward Si Nan’s window, then continued opening packages like three lunatics.

”Hahaha, at least you three are sensible.” Watching their every move through the surveillance, Si Nan laughed. She had specifically picked out some food for them as a way to thank them for saving her life today.

Meanwhile, Bai Zichuan, who didn’t know Si Nan had been ambushed, kept his promise and told his wife nothing about how Si Nan had miraculously given them a room full of Courier blind boxes.

At this moment, he was gratefully opening the Courier blind boxes with his wife and Child. Many of them contained food; they threw away the spoiled ones and organized the rest.

”We can never repay Si Nan’s kindness in a lifetime.” With every food item they unpacked, Bai Zichuan felt a bit more grateful. Si Nan had pulled their family of four back from the brink of death.

Moreover, she clearly didn’t have to take a burden like him to get supplies this time, but Si Nan had taken him without hesitation. Although her words were harsh, every sentence was for his own good—they were life-saving words.

What surprised him even more was that he thought everything brought back would belong to Si Nan; he never dared to hope for anything. But Si Nan had given him half without a second thought. A person like her—as long as he lived, he would be her follower.

Little did he know that he, who was supposed to be the number one follower, was now only ranked fourth.

After so much exertion, Si Nan was tired. After washing up, she lay in her warm bed, feeling incredibly comfortable. She picked up her phone to check the news she had missed when suddenly, a shrill scream rang out from within the neighborhood:

”Ah, help! A dog in the neighborhood has turned into a Zombie! It bit me! Help! I don’t want to die, I don’t want to turn into a Zombie!”
