Sister Nan's Combat Strength is Unknown, But It's Probably Only a Tiny Bit Stronger

69: Wow, what a thrilling scene! A post-apocalyptic reenactment!Xu Songquan roared at Gao Ming in frustration, ”If I didn’t treat you like a brother, why would I have my uncle assemble a car to deal with Si Nan? She is incredibly treacherous; you can’t handle her alone! Quick, give me the hemostatic medicine.”

Gao Ming was moved for a moment. Indeed, the purpose of their arduous journey here was to deal with Si Nan. Now that Huang Jianli was dead, if Xu Songquan died too, this place would be completely foreign to him. He didn’t know anyone; what kind of ally could he find then?

Even if he found one, there was no guarantee this wouldn’t happen again. In this world, people could no longer be trusted.

However, he had already had a falling out with Xu Songquan. Even if he saved him, based on his understanding of Xu Songquan, once the wounds healed, the man would likely kill him without hesitation.

So he stood still and didn’t move. ”Better forget it. I’ll just guard that pile of food in the house by myself. Although Huang Jianli was a piece of trash, he plundered quite a lot of food.”

”Gao Ming, you...? If I die, you—you won’t live much longer either. Your end won’t be any better than—mine.” After saying this, Xu Songquan used up all his strength. His eyes were bloodshot as he glared at Gao Ming, dying with his eyes wide open.

In a daze, he suddenly saw the breathtakingly beautiful Si Nan smiling and beckoning to him. She was so beautiful, her figure so enchanting. As usual, she was holding a plate of washed fruit and calling for Gao Ming and him to come eat— ”Old Xu, have a safe journey. Don’t blame your brother; you were the one who deceived me first.” After all, they had been brothers for many years. Gao Ming closed Xu Songquan’s eyes with his hand and said something to ease his conscience, then dragged Xu Songquan by the legs into the furthest study.

When he returned, he looked at Huang Jianli’s corpse, took the phone from Huang Jianli’s pocket, used Huang Jianli’s hand to unlock it, then changed it to his own fingerprint and reset the password.

This way, he could appear in the Property Owner Group legitimately, stay informed about the community’s dynamics at all times, and see Si Nan. He originally thought about trying to add Si Nan as a friend, but then he remembered this was Huang Jianli’s phone and they had had unpleasant dealings before, so he gave up.

Only then did he drag Huang Jianli’s corpse to be with Xu Songquan’s, closed the door, and happily rummaged through the whole house. He found all the food Huang Jianli had hidden, categorized it, and made a plan to survive for the long haul.

At this moment, the entire community was filled with deafening howls of all kinds: the roars of zombies eating people, the wails of people being bitten, and heart-wrenching cries for help. It was terrifying.

Blood, wailing, and fear shrouded the entire community. A heavy scent of blood filled the air, which even the extreme cold could not suppress.

From now on, only three fates remained for everyone: stay indoors and wait to starve, be eaten by zombies, or be bitten and become a zombie. The people of the community were being exterminated.

Furthermore, the number of zombies would only increase, while human instincts grew dimmer. Before long, these zombies would evolve again. They would no longer need to sleep or even nap; their bodies would become tougher and would no longer freeze and shatter upon impact in the extreme cold. They would become highly cold-resistant.

Whether day or night, they would be everywhere, wandering aimlessly. Going out to find food would become the ultimate luxury. Add to that the fact that electricity and water would soon be completely cut off, and that would be true despair.

The irony was that the community’s perimeter wall was still there, perfectly intact, yet it couldn’t stop the zombies. Instead, it trapped all the zombies inside the community; even after turning into zombies, they couldn’t get out if they wanted to.

In this way, the incessant screams continued until they abruptly stopped after dawn. Most of the people in the community were dead.

Si Nan, who was sleeping soundly, didn’t know she was surrounded. Outside the courtyard wall were fresh zombies of all kinds—men, women, young, and old. Many of them had dealt with Si Nan when they were alive, kneeling and begging for food.

Their resentment made them vaguely think about killing Si Nan even after becoming zombies. So, they were all gathered together now, trying every way to climb the high courtyard wall. Unfortunately, the stainless steel wall was too slippery, and they hadn’t even managed to climb a meter high after struggling for half the night.

There were also some stupid zombies who repeatedly rammed their bodies against the wall. A few smart ones knew to climb the surrounding trees and utility poles, reaching the highest branches to jump into Si Nan’s yard.

But the result was that the distance was too far. One after another, they fell like dumplings from the trees and poles, landing in the snowdrifts and splashing up a high cloud of snow.

If Si Nan saw this, she would surely praise it: ”Oh, this scenery is quite pretty.”

She didn’t wake up until 11:00 AM. The first thing she did was check the situation outside through the surveillance. Her first thought was: ”Oh, what a thrilling sight—the Apocalypse reappearing.”

The situation was even more exaggerated than in her previous life. The scenes of the past Apocalypse were recurring; every frame was so familiar and yet unbearable to look at. On the roads, in the streets and alleys, gardens, playgrounds, skyscrapers, residential hallways, companies, and schools—wandering zombies were everywhere. Severed limbs, intestines, internal organs, and such were visible everywhere. The scenes were bloody and cruel, and some zombies were currently biting living people.

Everywhere were figures covered in shredded meat and residual blood, with pale grey faces and white eyeballs without pupils. Clawing and lunging, they moved one by one toward places with sound or the scent of living people.

”Sigh, the days of staying indoors have arrived.” She shook her head and followed her unchanging routine: washing up—warming up—exercising. Her exercise consisted of martial arts training for two hours to strengthen her body. Then, dripping with sweat, she took a hot bath and cooked herself a delicious meal.

Only after everything was finished did she open her phone to check various messages. The most lively one was Ma Bufan: ”Sister Nan, are you awake? Please check our homework. Look at these beautiful abs and this masculine face. Do you feel an impulse to fall in love?”

After Si Nan checked the videos of their training, she replied indifferently, ”Hm, I do have an impulse—an impulse to give you a violent beating. Are you two fooling me or deceiving yourselves?

Try it yourselves: can the punch you throw even pierce a sheet of A4 paper? Stop flapping your gums and train hard, train for your lives. Do you see the countless zombies outside?

If you don’t train well and aren’t strong enough, you won’t survive.”

Over here, Ma Bufan immediately stopped being cheeky. ”Yes, Sister Nan is right to lecture us. We’ll remember.”

Si Nan then checked Bai Zichuan’s video. To her surprise, Bai Zichuan, who had no prior foundation, was training with punches that hit home. Moreover, he was training with his four-year-old son, and The little fellow was practicing with decent form.

From this, it could be seen that Bai Zichuan was very good at educating his Child. Such a small Child could actually endure hardship just like him.

She praised Bai Zichuan, ”Very good, keep it up. Tie sandbags to your calves when running, gradually increasing from 3 jin to 5 jin each.”

Bai Zichuan replied: ”Understood!”

Si Nan immediately @’ed Ma Bufan and Guan Xiaoning: ”Learn from Bai Zichuan and train with his level of intensity.”

”Yes!” The two took the order, their eyes immediately becoming serious and fierce.
